It was a pretty nice game. The idea behind it was solid and the execution was good. The only thing I would ask for is more variety, and maybe some more sound effects (turn-into-tree sound, turn-into-fire sound etc).
Overall, as your first LD compo entry it was a good one.

Congrats on your first Ludum Dare entry! Building controls feel a bit imprecise. It's tough to know where things will be built.

It felt very simplistic, I didn't find much use in much of the structures except for the defensive tree. I started losing control over my villagers at around wave 10, and the night terrors started tracking towards a villager that wouldn't die. Overall it is a simple base of a game.
i like the look of it! glowey fire light and shadows are well done. neat concept, i liked running my pack around to avoid monsters

I guess, I didn't figure out the positioning of fire and rock. Tree felt most useful. =D Seeing where things will be build might have help. I really liked the lighting effects!
