Very nice job putting this together in 48 hours! It's quite fun to try to keep up with all the ghosts. It does seem get a little too hard at times, but it's all part of the fun.
Graphics and the background music are very good and overall the game is very polished. However, a slower start would be nice. As it is I was forced to camp at the treasure box the whole time just trying to fend off the ghosts.

Good production value, very nostalgic, I'll give you kudos for those :) I like the way the platforms floated around to provide different terrain, true to the spirit of the theme :)
But there are several design flaws that result in poor gameplay... Basically your *only* option is to stay at the bottom by your chest to get much far at all. Because:
1. The ghosts don't disappear when they start punching your chest, so they accumulate, so you HAVE TO go get them
2. Your short range gives you no option to use the rest of the space to stop them.
3. The ghosts being pretty much deterministic in their movements - they WILL get to the chest and they WILL get there very quickly.
Unless there're some attacks that I missed or other things that would mitigate that. I don't know how anyone could get through to even level 10... Never mind 70!!!
Visuals are amazing, and the take on the theme is very clever. Well done!
I have to agree with Tuism, though, in that the only option you've got is to stay right next to the chest and wait for the waves of ghosts to arrive and then wipe them out. That's a pity, as you lose the fun that could result from the changing platforms, which is a cool addition.
I think the effort you clearly put into the game deserves a bit more of work to polish the mechanics/pacing and make it truly awesome.

I have just realized that after some last minute changes the difficulty increased a lot. I will work hard to balance the difficulty in the post-ld version of this game.
I think I am not allowed to make such changes now that the compo is over, but I will update this page when the post-ld version is ready!

1) That is a nice idea. I wonder why I didn't think about that!
2) Your range increases as the character's level goes up. Unfortunately, the game difficulty makes it hard to level up... I'll tweak it!
3) I'll think about some way to make their behavior more "random".

I loved it overall. It felt complete. The way you change around the terrain is interesting. I would have loved to see you use something similar for the chest and the spawn locations of the monsters so you would not always have to fight around the same spot as someone else mentioned.
The graphics were nice and for a 48h project I'd say it feels perfect. The levelup effects and powerups were a nice touch.

Nice work, it's clear lots of effort has gone to this. Not bad at all. the mechanics are there and work pretty well. It just needs some polishing. The game starts way too slowly, and combined with panda's slow movement speed and shooting range, it's simply not good idea to go far from the chest at all. player should have more control to leave the chest alone for a bit and fetch ghosts on upper parts I think.
Nice job, it seems like you put equal time in to all of the aspects instead of just focusing on one. It makes it well balanced.
Great game. I kept playing for 12 levels until i decided to die. The song could match the style of the game better though. Also, i hardly had to use the jump button unless it was for the power ups. I would try to see if the jump is necessary in this game. Great submission overall. :D

OKay Bonus in GFX for the Panda + 1 for cool LevelDesign (caus it changes after some time)... It was fun to play and it fits the theme... Challenging gamesplay... very good.

This was a lot of fun to play! I actually really liked that the game started out pretty intense. The shifting levels was a really neat surprise as well, and a great solution to the theme of this Ludum Dare. Great job!

The game would benefit from having less but more "intelligent" enemies. As the game works right now you can simply camp it out by the treasure without having any troubles at all(which is boring). That results in anything else happening in the rest of the level(enemies and platforms moving around) being irrelevant.
