One thing is clear for me I'm not an ant leader. :)
I dont't totally understand how the bounding boxes mechanics work, sometimes I make grow the ant population over one hundred (180 my best) and others I only got 40.
I like the graphics and the music remembers me old school music 80s arcade so I love it :)
COngratulations.
A cool one! I play it until the end, it demonstrates that a engaging game doesn't need of superespectacularawesome graphics.
Congratulations, i like it very much!
The best music I heard from this LD edition (until now) Great art. The weak point of this game is that is a bit repetitive (for my taste). BUt is a very good job though.
Congratulations!
6533... I'll give it another try.
Challenging!
:D
An immersive, engaging and fun game.
Congratulations!
PS.-I'm going to try it again :)
Nice concept and good graphics, a little fast and uncontrolable for my taste though, but it couldn´t be any other way I'm a neutrino :D
I like the graphics and the idea, the tiny concept is cleverly designed and implemented.
Congratulations!
Good looking game and excellent sound. About the game play is difficult to kill the enemies (relatively fast and tough)if only the laser can be fired when standing, but it isn't nothing can't be improved and balanced.
Cheers!
Good graphics, music and gameplay.
Without a doubt: a winner!!
Congratulations! CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP!!!!!
NIce concept. NIce graphics, but, man... I WANT a weapon, a pointed stick with a nail in the top would be enough. A weapon please. Please.
Jokes apart, I think that this kind of game needs to leave the player to unleashed the killing machine that has inside.
COngratulations, a great entry. But a weapon please. A tiny one.
Hi, good and straight to the point roguelike!
I like specially the music and the sounds, and the references to the classics (Commander Keen like graphics and cacodemon for the win!!).
Cheers!
PS.-John Blobbo was happy when he saw his cousins, the slimes, but he doesn't talk to me since I start to kill them :D
¡¡¿WHAT?!! HAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I never visit again the milk shop XD!
Great man!
I like the deep effect with that makes the background over the game surface.
Is a little difficult to move but it's challenging.
Cheers!
Nice game! Awesome music an¡d graphics!
Cheers!
When I read things like Kamikaze Planet I got to play!
With no doubt: I LIKE THE MUSIC of this entry!
The game is a goodlooking old school one, a bit repetitive though. For sure this game wins on playability if you add powerups that increase the gun power.
Oh! And the idea of the planet approaching to the earth (I suppose that is the earth :P) is awesome.
Cheers!
I could help! I had to touch the BUTTON!
A couple of comments: I give you a good mark in innovation, I like so much the fact that when you touch the button the playing area grows.
In the bad side is a little frustrating is so fast to control, I can't pass the level three and I assure you that I tried.
Congratulations anyways!
Great pixel art! Carry on after the competition!
I liked VERY much!
Great graphics! Simple gameplay (when you get it :P)! And great theme (appropiate with this apocalyptic mayan times :D)! An excellent 48 hour (!!!) entry.
Great is the word to define this game.
Good job! I like so much the graphic style and the idea is so original (combining rubik's cube with a sort of RPG? I never see this before).
Congratulations.
Hi!
A fun game. When I catch the mechanics I tried to discover more and more levels until that where there's a "crossroad" on the middle, I tried it two times but I don't know what the solution is.
The graphics are good enough fot the game purposes. And the sound effects do their work.
Good job! Congratulations.
Hi recursor!
An old school platformer! Simple and effective grafics, funny sounds (the door opening... ¿is that you recursor? :P ), a quest for a treasure... and difficult as trying to kill a donkey pinching him :)
I'll give a bunch of tries and to pick the red key is the most far that I advance ¡argh! :(
I like this game a lot and for sure that I'll try again.
Cheers!
PS.-In one of my tries on the platform where the red key is I fall of f beyond the platform when I jump over the skull and theoretically had to fall safely on the same platform again... and was my last live :(
Hi dem0!
Overall I like your game, good graphics and fine managed controls. Maybe the part that I think that doesn't match with the game is the music, the sound effects do their job perfectly but the music gives, in my opinion, a slow sensation to the gameplay. I got a good impression of your game though and I'll return to play it again because I like the sokoban games and if they have robots and items I assure you that I'll come back.
Congratulations!
Hi!
I still can't believe that I point and click about five minutes (six maybe ¿or seven?) around a tiny flat like that :D
A funny adventure!
Congratulations!
PS.-I can't understand why you freezer has no beer? >:(
PS2.-I have an IKEA's brown square table too, and my sister a white one, a green one, a black one, not sure but I think she has a red one :D
HI, the game looks nice and it's a good idea, but is hard to manage the ants, I clicked one and I have the sensation that sometimes it responds me and go to the place that I click and others not.
Cheers!
PS.-Good sound effects and jazzy music. :)
It has an excellent gameplay premise. The sounds and music are great (I get it stuck now in my head, so thank you very much >:( ¡grrrrrrrr!... just kidding).
Good job!
Hi!
All had worked fine for me, no java problems.
The controls worked fine (sometimes a little hard to manage though).
In the level 3 (the one you started falling, and falling, and falling) where have I to go? It seems that is unfinished.
The best, the music. Why did you disabled?
Cheers man!
"Hello? The IT department? I think I have a bug in my computer"
I like it, it's a sort of "operation" and race game. It's an original idea. A little difficult to control at the beginning but easy to learn (as other games, silly me :D)
I specially like how the scene is designed and the graphics are smooth. So in the graphics note you won it.
Congratulations, a good work. :)
Hi!
Good looking game. It take me a few minutes to know what I have to do, in some levels I started to spin and spin and spin and then ¡I won! but don't know why, although is clear when you have to hit stars and UFOs. Despite this last comment I like it.
Congratulations!
I like sooooooo much.
In 48 hours you give us a game with: Impressive looking. Impressive sound. Although it take to me a pair of minutes to catch the game mechanics it a challenging game and it push you to go on an on. I'll give you a second try to finish it.
Congratulations.
Hi! I like it, the hard part is achieved and accomplished: it traps you until you finish.
What I dislike is when you are out of bounds you can't surrond all the planet for this reason I think that the minimap is very helpful. Maybe you can make the possibility to choice if the player can see all the "space" or prefer to focus on the player, but only is my opinion.
Good game anyway!
Congratulations!
Great, great, great, game!
Bomb and exploration! What else can I say? :)
It took me about two minutes to leave the first room (aim the bomb to the borther of the floor on the right is not easy) but is a good training for the next stages! :D
Nothing bad to say here.
Bravissimo!
Hey! That's a good one, I like the games that go straight to the point, it's fun and engaging, with better graphics you got it!
Need more levels! :D
Congratulations!
Hi!
Except for the GUI the graphics are cool (molan los zombies :P, they are very well done).
You say "Due technical error, you can only upgrade while on selecting level" in my opinion this way is fine, I would wait to the end of level (as it happens now). Fight now evolve later.
Another thing that I think you must consider is at the beginning of the level to focus the player view on his zombie, it took me a few seconds (about two :D)to find what my zombie was ¿maybe changing its color?
Overall a good game that makes me remember me the classic Butasan!
Enhorabuena!
I love this one!
The controls are well implemented. The background music makes its job well. The graphics are balanced, and the game play is pretty good.
Congratulations, excellent performance in 48 hours!
PS.-The initial screen with the moon on the background is awesome :D
Hi!
Yes it's a little game now but I think you have a good base to expand your game and make it bigger, the buildings and decorative elements that you talking about can be implemented from now.
Thing that I would change? the initial speed for making money, this combined with the music slows down the excitement.
Overall I like you game. Congratulations!
PS.-In chrome works perfectly.
I'm growing old every day I like black and white games better :D
I think that the game needs to be balanced because after the fourth wave my health points were reduced considerably in two waves (damn planes! :P)
Congratulations overall is a nice game!
An addicting one! I liked so much! The simplest ideas are the ones that success, is clear.
Congratulations!
Cheers!
Great!
Simple and fun! And it isn't simple to make a game simple and fun, the mastery is to make difficult things as it seems that is easy to make them (sorry for my english, in spanish I express this idea perfectly :D).
An awesome and well-balanced game. I really enjoyed.
Congratulations for a great work!
I played until the end (I wanted to see the "really gigantic" rat >:( )
Meanwhile the first rat was slow in the third evolution I really enjoyed (haha, come here legged sandwitches!)
Of the graphic side I like especially the border land combined with the starry background.
The music is a bit repetitive but ¡what the hell! at least there's music, most of the games I've played until now (mine included) have not music.
So, I congratulate for a good work!
Cheers!
Awesome game and design! You take the most of 48 hours!!
I really like it!
Another one on my "play later" list!!
First thing to say: I HATE THE BLUES!! (the planets not the music)
And now... ¡Hi!
A very original and straight to the point game ¿How the little planet are so hard to destroy?
Very well thought and designed game.
Congratulations!
PS.-I missed some sound effects, but the experience says that when the time is limited this "todo" is the first to fail.
Hi! I finish it (first game I play from the beginning to the end :))!
Nice gameplay, is true that needs to polish but the base is there and the contest was about to make a game in 48 hours and you made it!
Congratulations!
Good and nice looking job!
I like the music, it matches perfectly with the kind of game.
Congratulations!
An excellent idea!
I think is awesome the fact that you have to "design" the way to the other link and then follow it to go to the goal.
I put this to my "play later" list (later = 20 days of testing and voting)
A great one, congratulations!
Cheers!
I like it and it encourages to go on and on in spite of I think that the player movement is bit slow.
A great thing is to find and enable new habilities and the graphics are simple but contributes to give a great look and feel.
Congratulations for a good work and to make the most of 48 hours!
Cheers!
The look and feel of the game is very nice, and is challenging, but when I'm advancing on the game I miss to have an objective like "when you arrive to n points you pass the level". I think that if you add some gameplay elements more you got it!
Hey! I know that there was a 48 hour limitation (I "suffered" too but with worst result, man you have a game me not :D).
Congratulations for a good work!
Cheers!
Hi MyFrosh,
it's a good idea and is well set out but I think that the first level is a bit difficult to be the first level and learn the mechanics and go on to the next.
Hi scoopsy, I can't test it properly in a few seconds it closes it self.
I'm sorry :(
Simply one word: A W E S O M E!!!! The graphics, the gameplay and the sound.
(well, I wrote eleven :P)
There's not much to review and my entry is far that what a game is suposed to be but my mom likes it :D:
http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-23/?action=preview&uid=11198
Hi eShredder!
First of all congratulations! I like so much the way that your game looks, five stars to the graphics undoubtedly. The music creates a good atmosphere but after.
A good one that I put on the "play later list" (twenty days later, there are lots of games to test and vote as you will understand)!
Good work!
Hi ratboy!
The way that the viruses and the cells look is pretty good, and the movement animation is well achieved.
I missed some information during the game play about the enemy because I'm attacking and I don't know why with some units I quickly win and with other they kick my ass.
Cheers!
Hi!
Good game and graphics. The next step is to add some items/power ups...
Cheers!
PD.- I caught my self trying to shoot when I said "What are yoy trying to do? you are an scorpion!" XD
HI!
I think that you have a good idea, and another point of view of the connect 4, but I can't play comfortably because I don't get how control where the ball goes ¿Maybe if you draw the objective direction with a white rect?
Cheers!
Hi! An excellent idea!
The good: the gameplay and the graphics.
The good (but less): the music, it's a bit repetitive.
But overall a great game ¡congratulations!
Hi bigbadwofl (I copied and pasted your name)
In the good side I think that the way you've made the graphic part is so commendable, I love the big pixels (the pixels and the... errr... well, a clue: they start with B and end with oobs :P).
The music is well done but a bit repetitive (I know, I know, this is the way that the music loops work).
In the not so good side is the player interaction with the scene elements like rocks, trees, etc... when I have to loot I get stuck with them where apparently I could walk, I've just seen that you put another link to download with a version with a fixed bug, I'll download it and play later.
I don't use the other team mates I prefer to use one from the start to the end of the "wave" of enemies, I think that use only one character and make it grow is enough... but only is my opinion.
My global opinion of the game is thta is a good one with potential.
That's it!
Cheers!
When I read Spitoon I said "This is for me!" :)
Let me tell you despite the bugs, I think that you have an awesome idea (but I don't know exactly what the colors of the player means) and with some improvements you have an excellent game (now is a "very good" game :) ). I like so much the fact that you have to void your self to go on the way.
First game + 48 hours = thumbs up!
Hi!
The best part of your game is the graphical stuff (specialy the scene graphics and the wizard).
The music is a little repetitive but is better than nothing (I didn't put music on my game and sound effects either, so your music and effects are better than mine :D).
I miss a minimap, or at least if there is one I don't know how to see it, I started the game and made the wizard run ignoring the enemies and traps until I got totally lost.
I think that visually is a good game, but have to improve the gameplay, but ¡hey! You only had 48 hours!
PS.-It worked fine on my windows. :)
I think it's a good a idea but the game speed is a little slow for my taste.
Cheers!
Hi!
First thing first: Carrocket FTW! :D
In the first try the burguer "dissapeared" in a few seconds, and I discovered the boxes a little while before that it happenned. In the second I... took a Carrocket and ¡BOOM! And I said "Ualaaa!" (WOW! in spanish :P)
The problem that I see in your game is the control of the player, it's practically impossible to aim with default gun until you get the... CARROCKET ¡BOOM!
Congratulations to win the LD dead line!
PD.-The player floats outside the table but who cares if you have a... Carrocket! :)
WHAT!!! :D
Congrats!
Cheers!
Hi Proch!
Sometimes the game closes suddenly, it doesn't seem to be the classic crash there's no error message or something similar.
How do I make the ship to shoot?
I'm agree with some (those that I've read :P) of the other comments, the water physics is awsomely (¿this word exists? yes I'm not english :D) implemented.
Congratulations to beat the LD48 dead line.
Cheers!
Howdy!
As I said two days ago ABSOLUTELY AWESOME GRAPHICS. Yes as you can deduce I love the art of this game.
The (also retro) music is fantastic and contributes to the atmosphear of the game. Thumbs up!
In the other hand is a little bit hard to master this game, and the pool balls are actually pains in the ass >:( , but I keep it to try again later (I still have about one thousand and hundred games to test and mark :P).
Congratulations! Excellent work!
An original idea!!
It's fun but I miss something extra (hey! I understand that there only were 48 horas :D ) level targets, more levels, new enemies... sure that you thought about it but the problem is the limitation of developing time.
I would put more stars in humour if (for example) the dudes explode where the asteroid collide with them.
Do you think to make another version?
Congratulations, good work! :)
In 48 hours? Awesome!
The worst part maybe is the control of the player, the holes with brown stones and pikes in the middle had kill me thousands times.
Congratulations!
I think it's a little difficult to play because the control configuration.
Why these controls? It would be easy if I could use another key to jump. The key to shoot is uncomfortable.
In the good side I'll tell you that the art is good enough, and I like specially the player animations.
Congratulations anyway to finish the LD.
Regards.
:)
A good one. I like the straight to the point graphics for its relatively simplicity.
I miss a little bit more explanatory help, and it would be great if the place building was enabled in the keyboard, because for example I tested your game on a laptop and use the mousepad is uncomfortable.
I reserve this one for twenty days later (I have more than one thousand games to test and vote :D)
Good game congratulations.
I like it.
The plane flying over the city is a good detail :)
I specially like the graphics, the main screen, the background (How did you draw it?)and the turret ring are awesome. It's true that the control of the turret is a bit difficult but nothing that an hour or two of bug hunting can't fix.
I think that is cool the way you use to put the satellites, it's a very good idea.
Keep up the good work!
Congratulations!
LD26 — Minimalism (1)
Twinimalism by TenTonToon 2013-04-29T05:27:00
A great (and minimalistic :) ) design and a fun game. Congratulations man!
A "must play" entry.
