I have already seen this concept in Ant Yet It Moves, still it is very entertaining.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD23 → Cube World

Cool game play concept. I think this could be a great game on a smartphone if you rotate the world based on the device orientation. Reminds me a lot on www.andyetitmoves.net/
Like the others, it reminds me of And Yet It Moves. However, it's still really well done, especially for the scope of 48 hours. :) Only thing I'd add is an auto-restart for levels when you fall too far off the map.
Looks like I need to play AYIM.
Very fun!
Yeah agreed. Same mechanic as ayim. Still a good game though! Nicely implemented. Auto restart is definitely a must.
well built, decent puzzles! Would love to see a deep-space background thrown behind.
Ha.. Must be the first on who has never heard of AYIM. Good concept and execution. I really like the mechanic.
I have AYIMs but I have yet to play it. Based on these comments and this game, I guess I probably should. This was a very fun puzzle game. The only bad part is that in my mind the rotation buttons should have been reversed. This should be configurable or at the very least "z" and "c" should rotate the same direction, and players can just pick using z&x or x&c depending on which rotation they feel more comfortable with.
Auto restart would be cool when you fall off. Boxes and lasers messed with my head. Fun game.
As some people mentioned, the rotation mechanic is very reminiscing of And Yet It Moves. Here it's executed also really well though, and I enjoyed the music!
Nice work! Jakesnke17 did nice with the music here--some =very= tasteful use of tb_toad going on. I dig it.
Thanks for the kind words about my game, FireFlash!
Obviously yours is much more complete than mine and I loved it. It was a very different experience from AYIM because your game mostly focuses on controlling the secondary objects. Made for some pretty challenging stages. Nice job all of you!
*FireSlash :)
Game crashed after level 5, is that the end ? I dont know about AYIM but this game is actually even more reminiscent of a previous ludum dare game that had the same rotation mechanic AND had puzzles based of crates and lasers. ( Was on LD22 actually).
Very cool art, musics and puzzles here nonetheless. I would have seen a different background than that. Nice that you added secrets too.
The hit box of the spikes is insanely big.
Did you do anything specific that caused the crash? Can you reproduce it and send me the crash info? I did a playtest or 5 and was able to do the entire level run without incident, so I'm interested to know what went wrong. There are more than 5 levels and it shouldn't crash even after the last level.
Awesome game. Loved the graphics and the music. It's a quite polished game. I also second the idea of auto-restarting if you fall. It gets amazingly hard. Solid entry. Loved it.
I thought the levels were rather well-designed. Good game!
I also saw the AYIM feel on this one, but I had fun nonetheless.
This is my favorite Jam game so far. It's polished and the music is great. The game is fun, nice work guys.
If you go left on the first level you enter Portal! :)
It's amazing that you had so little time yet put in an easter egg!
Great game! Fun, quite original at least from what I've seen
much better than AYIM because there is no stupid fall damage :D
