Very interesting idea. But too little character variation (humans) and probably needs a second line so that humans don't pile up in one place.

Fun simple game and very neat concept. Three of the pets looked exactly the same on my first play through which made it a bit difficult.
Not enough social distancing/10...
Joking aside, very awesome game, really stressful when the customers pile up. My max score are 14 points, and I feel like half of it was luck (i'M HORRIBLE AT MEMORY GAMES)
Very well done and implemented, probably my only feedback would be that the theme does not shine through a lot.
Keep up the awesome work!
Neat and fun game. I found that sometimes multiple people would come in at the same time making it not possible to read what they're asking for. Multiple pets having the same appearance made it hard for me to tell which pet is which but that just might be a me problem.
Sometimes, when multiple people showed up to pick up/bring in the animal, I had no idea what they wanted, because the letters overlapped.
Also, I don't really see the connection to the theme, but it was a fun play overall!
This is a cute idea well in the theme. The pixel art is pleasant and there's a variety of animals. No easy to remember to which belong some animals who look the same. But then it's an interesting memory game ;-)
Pretty nice. Cute animal pixel art and easy to understand gameplay
This kind of reminds me of the old arcade game Tapper!
The memory aspect is kind of difficult since so many pets have the exact same sprite and sometimes two pets have the exact same name, but the concept and art is solid.
In my first playthrough I was given 5 dalmatians in a row and immediately panicked when right after one of the owners wanted their specific dog back haha. Overall I think the game was executed pretty well with a pretty large amount of animal sprites and animal movement so you can't just organize them by time received. I wish there was some other mechanic to help match up the animal to the owner, by possibly leaving clues on the owner sprites or having walls in the holding area to at least attempt sorting the animals to add a layer of depth though. Even without help though, the game never felt impossible due to the fact that they still took their animal back on wrong answers and give a life back on correct answers, so I think you hit the balancing right. Overall good game, and you guys did great!
Nice work! As other people have said, the people do tend to pile up on top of each other. I like the idea of having to remember each pet's name and keep track of them all. I eventually just ended up putting each one into a different corner of the room to keep them organized. I also like the art.
sorry, can't start game in browser, just gray bar after start game
NICE!! Wicked-good movement and simple controls. Awesome, awesome job realizing the concept, this has a particularly high "fun" factor.
As people already pointed out, the text overlaps with itself and it is sometimes "impossible" to complete the requests... or frustrating in an unintended way, at least. Still possible.
The music didn't loop for me, not sure if it's a bug on my end or what. I liked what I heard of the music!!
I'd also like to point out the VERY good comedy of the screen-shake on failure?? IDK why but the tonal contrast (same with the sudden cut to black screen on death) got a laugh out of me.
One more time, the movement and how well it controls is SO GOOD for a gamejam game!! Great work on mastering that!
it also would not start for me, windows 10 with Google Chrome.
I loved this! Really great idea, and execution. The sprites were all fantastic, and it looked like you had the right priorities with developing. Could have done with some more animal names, and the text piling up made it tricky but for the wrong reasons, but I think this has been my favourite thing so far. Definitely smiled playing this more than any other, great work.
I really liked the concept and there's not much to fault apart from the characters piling up like other people have mentioned. Good job.
I liked the game. The graphics are nice, however the most awesome thing is how cute everything appears. And the shake for simulating angry customer? That was just awesome.
Oh my god, I loved it! I don't really have any criticism, it was a nice little game and I had a lot of fun.
