It was interesting

not bad, controls really felt like space!

Cool idea — collecting the sounds of space is awesome! But I think the flying speed feels too slow when you’re drifting through empty space, and it’d be great to get power-ups from defeated enemies.

I like the floaty feel of space, but I agree it feels too slow when you move, especially when you try to steer around an asteroid or planet.

Mixing the tracks while floating through space is brilliant! I found the controls to be engaging in close settings but felt discouraged from going super fast due to how hard it is to anticipate bumping into stuff (although there's no real punishment for death). The combat also didn't feel great. But the tracks were great and I was surprised how many different moods could be achieved. The only other issue was that once the arrow disappears, it's a chore to try to find the rest, but I spent quite a bit of time and found as many as i could. very nice work, i had a great time!jams.png

I like the take on music mixing as collection. Plus driving through space is always a blast

Looks like the compass stopped working after the first couple collections, so I couldn't tell where to go next. The enemies weren't very difficult, which kept things chill, but didn't present a struggle to enjoy either. I think you're on the right track here.

Building up the beat felt satisfying! I do think it was difficult to anticipate a big astroid on the path, maybe a visual cue to incidate an astroid will soon appear would help a lot.

I like the concept! I was only able to collect about half of the items (due to not being able to find more than a few after the game stopped pointing me to them). I wish there were a way to hear all the tracks without having to spend ages tracking them all down.

I think ship should have one update at least at the start... first instrument takes a bit of time to find and half of the screen is with ui that doesn't make sence until you found at least one instrument to play with. After 10 instruments arrow disapeared and it was quite hard to find the rest. I found couple, but it was a bit of pain to navigate without any sort of map or radar - anything to help navigating would be a huge help!

Nice aestetic of drawn and cut pieces too. Though collision is only taking speed in account. Got 50% of my shields down from small particle hanging around! Its really hard to maneuver, but again - some kind of radar or anything that would help me to see the obstacle waaaay before it appeared on my screen would be golden!

Idea of mixing track, though, is an interesting one! Not sure if it has any gameplay bonuses or just atmospheric one :)

I really enjoyed the music mixer design! I'm musically inept, so it was a cool way for me to "create" music in a way I'm not usually able to.

My only wish is that the viewport showed a larger area. I wanted to zoom around in my little ship but it was way too hard to predict when an asteroid would show up. I think it would have also been cool to see more of the asteroid field at once.

A very interesting game, collecting these soundtracks makes me feel quite addicted!

Really cool idea! I was driven to collect more and more astro jams not for the sake of reaching the ending, but to discover which instrument/melody each would unlock. Mixing the tracks while traveling across space was fun too! One suggestion would be to have the arrow which points you towards jams automatically point you towards the nearest one, since it seems more random at the moment and might send you across the map instead of to an objective closer to you. Nice work!

I love the idea. And the main attraction is the best part : each track is musically and visually distinct, and intriguingly different enough to really make me wanna *collect* them all. The only thing I would add that I haven't seen discussed yet: reverse thrust could have a separate particle emission point, to allow visual feedback on what's going on. I spent my first 10 minutes not knowing there _was_ reverse. Keep digging the vibes <3

The game looks very nice: all these drawn elements and fragments look great. However, in a collision, only speed is important, and because of this, half of my shields are eaten by these small, circling particles! Maneuvering among them is incredibly difficult. It would be great if I had a radar or other tool that would show threats in advance, and not when they are already right in front of my nose.
