No idea what was going on, but I loved it. Weirdly soothing - would have loved to mix and match strange tea ingridients and make own fantastical tea creations!

ljh572 2021-04-27 12:40

This was so cute, I absolutely loved it! It's the kind of game I would 100% be obsessed with. Loved the art and the writing was perfect

yizhao-jin 2021-04-27 14:09

I like the graphics.

micia 2021-04-27 15:33

There was tea 10/10 would brew again

brokenmatcha 2021-04-28 10:48

Love the art of this game! And of course, the theme :tea:

brainloaf-studio 2021-04-28 10:48

Ooh I really love the idea here! The art is also great - really like the character designs. I agree with Maximilian above, I'd love to mix and match tea ingredients as well! This was nice though, nice work!

imyellowfish 2021-04-28 10:50

Beautiful writings!

lumue 2021-04-28 11:00

Neat idea and pretty chill realisation! I liked your descriptive storytelling a lot. Monsieur Cloud is a fascinating character :cloud: I enjoyed the art still, too. Unique and beautiful choice. The only thing that annoyed me a bit, was the text-sound - it was way too loud and not very fitting for my taste and corrupted the otherwise mellow and gentle mood. I'm not sure, if text sounds are actually necessary here.

Cheers :fish:

zenbarista 2021-04-28 11:08

@lumue ah yes, the text sound!!! It is a default in Fungus (the Unity plugin we used) and I don't yet know how to switch it off. Hopefully I find the setting because it drives me nuts too :D I am really glad you enjoyed the game otherwise :)

zenbarista 2021-04-28 11:09

@brainloaf-studio Yes!!! More tea making is something we also would like to add. Maybe in the future, stay tuned!

zenbarista 2021-04-28 11:09

@imyellowfish It is all @charlinef and she is amazing! Thanks for playing :)

zenbarista 2021-04-28 11:12

Thank you @brokenmatcha @micia @yizhao-jin @maximiliancroissant @ljh572

carraka 2021-04-28 12:40

The game is so cute in its tone! I only wish there were more customers and gameplay. This seems like a good concept to expand into a longer game!

zenbarista 2021-04-28 17:10

@carraka thank you so much! Yes, more customers would definitely be the plan for the future game :)

microchasm 2021-04-29 05:10

Whenever I play a jam game that gets the little things right, it is bumped up in my mind. The fact that the text plays a sound effect as it writes itself out, but allows you to display it in full by click anywhere or pressing space or enter is a great quality of life addition. It may seem minor, but when playing a bunch of jams games it means a lot, at least to me. The art is really nice, and I like the idea-- I was very interested in dreams for a while in my life. The game does end abruptly, as I'm sure you know, but it was a nice vertical slice, and created a world in a short timeframe. Well done!

havok06 2021-04-29 19:16

The visuals are really great, I am impressed for a jam.

mtrc 2021-04-29 22:36

I love the setting you establish here, and the little asides of preparing tea, selecting brews, and seeing dreams. There's so much potential here! Incredibly polished presentation, too, every screen is really beautiful.

zenbarista 2021-04-30 13:53

Thank you so much @microchasm! Yes, as we have realised we won't have time to explore too many customers, we started thinking about this more as a demo which could unfold in the future.

zenbarista 2021-04-30 13:54

Thank you, @havok06 as we are not professional artists, this gives us great encouragement to learn more about drawing in the future as well!

zenbarista 2021-04-30 13:55

@mtrc your feedback makes me feel very humbled, and also quite excited to maybe continue working on this game! Thank you for coming to our IGGI events and supporting us :)

boxedmeatrevolution 2021-04-30 16:33

Wow! This was a great start to a game. I was hooked, and it ended far too soon. Of course, for a jam game it's completely understandable that you didn't have time to make the story longer, but that doesn't stop me from wanting more! Great entry!

ezequiel95 2021-04-30 18:05

Beautiful game, the art was very nice and the mood was very well settled. If I have to say something is that the Sound effect for the text was too loud

tarfield 2021-04-30 21:11

The mechanic for making tea could perhaps be expanded on if this game was to become bigger, but I liked the premise. Very cool art and nice mood.

linkwin 2021-04-30 21:24

Really charming little story! The dialog and character development were great, really felt like a consistent world. I would have liked to see more interaction, but the polish level as a short visual novel was excellent. Well done!

zenbarista 2021-05-01 18:02

Thank you so much @tarfield @linkwin @ezequiel95! I agree about the text sound, I’ve since found where to change this and will do so in further developments of the game. We are also planning to make more interactivity and expanding the tea making aspect in the future! Thank you for playing 😊

lesinvisible 2021-05-01 23:05

Very nice graphics and this tea was really 10/10! Serves more like a graphical novel and presentation is just amazing.

zenbarista 2021-05-02 07:17

Thank you @lesinvisible ☺️

pyrofoux 2021-05-03 10:56

You created a whole universe full of taste in just a few minutes... It's like drinking a warm cup of tea!

zenbarista 2021-05-03 15:02

@pyrofoux :heart:

oco 2021-05-05 04:35

What a charming little game! I enjoyed learning about tea, and the painted art was soothing to see. Story has a nice RPG shop feel to it, too :)

zenbarista 2021-05-07 19:06

Thank you, @oco! We’re happy you liked our game 😊

etrealjunior 2021-05-08 14:39

Congratulations very nice narrative, the arts are very beautiful, a suggestion for future upgrades would be to add noise in the images that are clean they end up giving a very strong contrast to the scene, and some elements that are also very contrasting, I suggest a watercolor effect on everything, he usually takes the subtlety and would combine a lot with his art, I hope he continues to evolve in his projects, if you want to give your feedback on my game I will be very grateful, a big hug my friends.
