A fun little game! There's a bit of emergent complexity in the box throwing. The baby occasionally gets stuck inside a box when it turns immovable.

oleksii-slipets 2022-10-03 22:35

Reminds me of Tetris, but 3 times more difficult)

chevalbancal 2022-10-03 22:36

Short and sweet game. Got confused by the many different keys to travel through the menu. Congrats!

lazyalarm 2022-10-03 22:46

Short, sweet, clean, neat, but VERY intense. It feels less like trying to order the packages and more like trying to throw them away from the output as fast as possible, but it was still very fun nonetheless. Great job!

mistagiggles 2022-10-03 22:47

Very frantic puzzle/action game. really like the idea, though I felt like I barely had enough time to move between the 3 bays. Best score was 130 before I manage to block myself in :) Had good fun with this one

b4ux1t3 2022-10-04 02:12

Such a good idea. Well-made and really cute! I wish my son was old enough to play, but he does this all day with his toys anyway.

paul-avallone 2022-10-04 03:55

Neat game. I like the concept but I'm just not good enough to get very far. 10 seconds isn't enough time but that is the theme. Maybe 2 boxes at a time instead of 3. Good job.

eugenik 2022-10-04 17:00

awesome game! great work guys.

atwooooooood 2022-10-05 03:36

Good job. And I like the baby sound. A little bit confuse about the control in the very begining. The game needs some practice.

beefbone 2022-10-05 19:16

Fun little game, really really hard to do well, would love for the box throwing be more impactful as it seems like such an important mechanic in the game

snarerush 2022-10-05 19:16

Cool twist on a classic game! After a couple of goes I started to figure out where to save space and pack as much in as possible. The way the boxes flew out of your hand was cool, for saving time, but more control over it would have been nice. Either way, good fun! ^^

pauly3d 2022-10-05 19:17

Pros: Mechanic is fun, as as others above said there's good emergent difficulty - you make your own cluttered map to navigate. The sound effects worked well as a means to track the 10 seconds. Realizing I could throw the boxes was a great little "eureka" moment. Cons: Box-locking was a bit glitchy - not only did I get stuck inside a box several times, one time even R couldn't save me - there was a locked box on the space it would teleport me to. Also having only one map leaves the game lacking replayability - though given the time contraints, that's more of a way to improve in the future than a real critique.

@mattdahepic

You are definitely right about the difficulty. Thanks for playing my game! If you press (R) you can respawn at the start position again... if there arent any boxes *there* already.

c4ris 2022-10-06 01:49

@oleksii-slipets Yeah I didn't have a lot of time to test the game before getting it out in time. I've found that after a few playthroughs the controls get easier to maneuver but if I had more time I would have helped the player out in the beginning so it wasn't as frantic. Thanks for playing my game!

c4ris 2022-10-06 01:51

@chevalbancal

Thanks for playing my game! Appreciate the note about the menu you're right and I'm just lazy. If I keep working on the project I will address that.

c4ris 2022-10-06 01:52

@lazyalarm Thanks for playing my game! I really like your feedback actually because at times I feel like I do have a little time to really 'tetris' the pieces into a good spot but right off the bat it definitely feels like a free-for-all. thx again.

c4ris 2022-10-06 01:53

@mistagiggles Awesome score! If I knew more about what I was doing I would have let everyone put their own names in the leaderboard, maybe next time. I'm glad you had fun with the game, thanks!

c4ris 2022-10-06 01:54

@b4ux1t3 Thanks for playing my game! I hope your little dude has fun watching the different games... and his pops game too!

c4ris 2022-10-06 01:56

@paul-avallone I appreciate the feedback about my game. If I had more time I would have tried to ease players into the game a little more because it's definitely too tough right off the bat. Thanks for giving it a shot anyway and I hope you're having a good game jam!

c4ris 2022-10-06 01:58

@atwooooooood You're right about the game needing some practice. If I had more time I would have tried to ease the players into the game a little more, maybe start with 1 or 2 bays... if I keep working on the game I will make that adjustment. Thanks for giving my game a playthrough! have a good jam!

c4ris 2022-10-06 02:00

@beefbone Thanks for the feedback I tried a few different "throw strengths" for the baby some were goofy strong but if i keep working on the project I'll remember this and try to make some adjustments. It could use some better mechanics overall too, sometimes I would throw boxes in the wrong direction by accident... anyway thanks for playing my game have a good jam!

c4ris 2022-10-06 02:02

@snarerush Thanks for the kind words about my game! I agree with you there were a few things on my list that I wanted to try and make nicer ... one of them was the box handling sometimes I would throw them the wrong direction by accident. If I keep working on the game in the future I'll make sure to jazz up the box sliding mechanics so they feel nicer since they are such a big part of the game. have a good jam!

c4ris 2022-10-06 02:04

@pauly3d Thank you for the detailed feedback on my game! I'm glad you had that little eureka moment with the boxes. I agree with your feedback too about the box locking there were many thoughts I had to fix your instance (I had it too) but all of them took too long for my brain to put into code. You're totally right about the level design too I think there is cool opportunities for fun puzzles if I keep working on the game in the future. Thanks again for the feedback cheers!

thedashdude 2022-10-06 05:09

Nice concept. Wasn't sure what the yellow stuff was supposed to be, and it would have been nice if it was easier to thread the needle with the boxes. Funny baby voice lines good.

sk-katea 2022-10-06 15:03

I like the concept and you know, graphics look simple but beautiful

suzanne-hardison 2022-10-07 01:20

Fun game! Challenging but fun!

tess 2022-10-07 11:14

It was really challenging and took me a while to get orientated. Loved the funny theme.

krasimir-balchev 2022-10-07 22:02

Love the mechanic of the game, quite clever! I did accidentally get stuck in one of the boxes once but it happens. Overall, great job!

brainloaf-studio 2022-10-08 00:12

Love the concept here. I found the difficulty curve quite tough at first, but I like it- as you develop strategies of placement, it gets pretty fun! I like how you can slide boxes by releasing them while moving, and the music is a real jam. Nice work!

dannyk1994 2022-10-17 18:47

Took a bit of getting used to to figure out the controls! But once I did I had a lot of fun! Great to see some gamemaker submissions! Well done I enjoyed it

hacktier 2022-10-20 21:24

Cool game. The game looks good and plays well. Nice work.
