I love that you represent the theme with a few layers, thought that was pretty clever! Overall this is a pretty impressive outcome for making it yourself in such a short time. I definitely kept replaying quite a few times!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD48 → Nail It Deep!

Haha, love how you presented the concept for the game in simple but surprisingly compelling way! :smile:
@anniv4x @kornel Thanks!!!!!!!!!!
Very impressive for the short time you had, an interesting and fun movement mechanic, it's also great that you got a nice looking artstyle!
This is quite fun and impressive for just a few hours of development! I loved the mechanic, I got to 167m after a few tries :)
Nice concept, wasn't expecting to see a hammering sim in this jam. Nice job!
Two things tho: the sfx was not done right, when the hammer was on the left the sound was centered, but when it was on the right it was only on my right ear. I don't think that's what you were aiming for.
Also, it would be nice to have a highscore at the end.

@mateusboga Yeah, the sfx was done in a few minutes hahaha. Everything was too rushed. And yeah, a highscore would be nice. My partner got past 200 m, but there was no way to record it. I'll see if I have time, I'll work on a post-jam version soon-ish.
Thanks for playing my game, I hope you enjoyed it! And thanks for the valuable feedback!!
so simple but so fun. my daughter and i took turns playing and both loved it!
This was a really unique concept and a fun spin on the theme. Sank more minutes than I care to admit trying to get that hammer going light speed. Great job!
That's one huge nail given the score is in meters :smile: Was playing the web version on mobile. The animation speed felt inconsistent, but when it got super fast, it certainly made me smile. On mobile it would have been nice if the control area was flipped to the top, because this way I was obstructing the view of what's coming with my finger (and my fingers aren't particularly fat and the screen on my phone is quite tall :sweat_smile: ). Overall, neat game, got to 130m I think (or might have been 180).
Edit: tried it on the desktop (still web) and the speed ramp up there is way faster (way faster than the gif at the top). I actually prefered the gentler rampup on mobile. Also, the audio channels seem off - when going right, it's just the right channel, but there's both on the left.
Cool idea and a great take on the theme, nice work :)

I think I broke your game. The speed started going negative and got stuck at a really slow speed after around 2300m. Wanted to get over 9000m but I could't be bothered anymore. Also yeah, if you angle it like in the screenshot you pretty much never get hit. I still had fun though, felt nice when it got faster and faster, even if I managed to break the gameplay.
Fun application of the theme! I've seen a lot of "falling" games, but not a lot of *hammering* games lol. It's simple, but oddly addicting. Nice job!
So interesting idea! I really have fun to play this game! Thank you) Cool graphic and sounds) Good job!
This was surprisingly neat for such a short development window (4 hours, oh boy!) The movement feels a little weird because the hammer is the larger object and it feels like *that* should be the pivot point, but I think that's probably part of the challenge. Nice work!
that is my top 10 games in this time! simple but funny, sounds are awsome , but adding some bgm or levels design ,coins,background story will make this game better nice job :smiley:
Finally I have a little time to fix bugs and respond.
@mateusboga @secretpocketcat
I've fixed the audio (hopefully), since that wasn't intended so it was actually bug.
I've also fixed the inconsistent framerate which caused the inconsistent animation, that wasn't intended either. The speed ramp was intended so I didn't change that.
Yeah, the controls were at the top previously but somehow I changed them to the bottom for whatever reason before releasing. Haha, noted on that!
@lalaki7 wow, it's incredible that you reached that far! Haha, cheat discovered! I just fixed a few unintended bugs, I wonder if it still slows down after 2300m?
And thank you all for trying out my entry and leaving me some precious feedback!!! I wasn't expecting people to like the game, glad y'all like it!!! :laughing:
Fun and creative! Not really buying the hammering sound effect, and it would have been nice to see some more polished graphics. Considering the short amount of time you had: very impressive!
Fun twist on a familiar idea. I enjoyed the detail of the sound panning according to the angle, makes it feel more polished overall.
Fun. Good job for so few hours.
Really fun! If there's some kind of unit for "units of fun created per time taken to create it" then you have a lot of those units. My hammer was going so fast!
Interesting game. I kept getting confused about where to move the mouse. I kept wanting to get a higher score. It would have been fun to see how far other folks had gotten. Nice job.
It's actually quite fun! I like how the nail gets bent when hitting an... asteroid? (What the heck are you nailing into?) Nailed it.png
Is this an 808 clap sound ? :D Love how simple the assets are and the controls are just weird enough to be fun. I enjoyed it !
Really liked it! Fun twist on the theme. Well done!
Very funny idea. Cool game, I didn't expect something like that :)
Good Idead, good execution. Fun Game :D
