@doot I will make it for you
@doot done!
Excellent! One piece of advice for programming. STAY AWAY FROM ROTATIONS and Euler angles! I think this is called gimbal lock when something rotates like that. Try working with transforms or quaternions. They may be tougher to work with but perform really well. https://docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/tutorials/3d/using_transforms.html
Personally, I like doing the FPS structure for everything. Place an object that only "nods" (like a head nodding 'yes') inside an object that only turns left and right. The parent object (the left and right object) will turn the nodding object but never nods itself. this way, you don't get confusing angles. Each object only get's 1 rotation. this tutorial will help you see the object structure: https://docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/tutorials/3d/fps_tutorial/index.html
(I like Godot a lot btw :P )
@whysguy52 oh, thanks for yor feedback! Yeah, I know what are you talking about, and thanks, that will help me a lot, those rotations should be reworked >_<
Thanks for the portable version ;)
I really liked the mood, the lights and texture look good! controls feel a bit weird but in a good way. Good job.
Controls feel a bit weird but at least they are smooth and I didnt get motion-sick (which happens to me quite often in 3d games with simple geometric and a lot of looking up and down). Great prototype and probably a nice beginning of some full sea exploration game
@xcvzxc thank you! I actually want to finish this game, and all of feedbacks are useful) Thank you again
I liked the graphics, and I actually didn't mind the controlls after I got the hang of it (could be slower and floatier though). I think that the mood and vibe of the game would be tremendously increased by having some music and sound! Good jam game though!
The graphics were really nice, this was a really peaceful experience!
Very eery game. I didn't really understood the control at first, but when I got it I was very proud. I was disoriented by the lack of guidance, maybe try adding a few pointers on what to do if you want to finish this game!
The graphics are nice, it was cool!
Great Game!.
I like the general mood of this game :)
As a prototype it's a good start! The controls are unusual but feels good, the atmosphere is intriguing and relaxing, and with a nice music and a few extra visual effects it could be a really nice relaxing experience! I'd love to see the results if you keep working on this project! :-)
I think that this game can be expanded if you take this approach https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kQDIosuZuo It can be a educational game. 10 year old me would love to learn biology with your game. Solid Entry.
wow, the game is good
An interesting Idea and I love the fact that you even cerated a procedular environment generation in that short amount of time.
The Game felt that a lot is missing but a very good start. I loved the Bubbles which appear when you hit the Surface. I would make the Controlls not that direct and a bit more "watery" so that it takes a bit to move. Currently its for me just too fast and then I loose totally the Overview of the scenery.
But Overall a relly good entry. Well Done
cool entry. Visuals were nice.
nice Game, good job!
Great Visuals and the fact you used procedular enviorments for a game made in 72 hours is crazy! It would be nice of you if you could check out my game as well :)
