I gave it a try, great work! Like the sounds, and confetti when you score!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD47 → It Is A Loop

it needs more in terms of gameplay mechanics
I like the simple and intuitive gameplay. Could probably work well as a mobile game. But i think you should work on the difficulty curve. It was very easy for a long time before i got around 45 points and it started to get a difficult.
Good job, really fun got 41.
good mechanics but the Game its little empty.
Simple but fun game. I got to 53
I've one complain to share. If you're using a keyboard and you died, the restart button appears and I should switch from the keyboard to the mouse. I think adding another keyboard shortcut for these cases will be a plus. I like the shader though.
Good job making a complete game in just 48 hours! Like other have said, it's lacking a bit in mechanics, but what you do have is really solid. If you were wanting to expand on this, it could be improved by making multiple rings that you can jump between with the other arrow keys and reducing the amount of time you need to sit on a glowing section to close it. Overall great work!
I appreciated the cleanliness of this game. It felt simple and polished; wasn't hard to grasp but scaled in difficulty as you played.
Granted, it's not a complex concept, but it was executed well. Good job on this.
I like the recommendation from @dinosire to add additional rings. That would bring an interesting dimension to the game.
I found that the single failure-and-you're-done nature of the game to be a bit abrupt. It might have been nice to have a lives counter to allow you to miss one or two... but then maybe I'm just lazy and don't want to move around that much.
In any case, well done finishing this game and thanks for sharing it. It is fun.
I like that you executed a clean simple mechanic well. With a bit of work (More content, some complexity added to the mechanics, etc) I could see this turning into game I would totally play on my phone.
nice game that matches theme very well. in the beginning it feels like you can predict it and it's way too easy, but then very soon it gets way too hard. balancing games is tricky, maybe adding additional bonuses like extra lives would help. it was fun to play for sure :-)
You can start game right after tutorial
Simple little game, very easy to understand and a good ramp in difficulty. Awesome work!
Thanks for the ratings and feedback. My goal was to keep my scope simple so I could focus on game feel. I think I achieved my goal! Cheers
Godot user who started doing Ludum Dare because of Quill18? Are you by any chance my long lost sibling?
@indiequest just might be ;) , I don't think quill likes godot.. But I followed a ton of his quill creates videos to learn unity. Unity was fun, But the open source nature of godot made me switch. I also like really like the godot community.
Cool game! The looping idea is nice, but does not ever seem to build to anything more interesting/challenging. Would like to see some challenge or decision offered to the player to make, like making more loops that mirror the player thing, but all have different target things to get.
Simple but really well made game. The difficulty curve is perfect!!
I could see myself playing this all the time on my phone when I need those quick few minutes time wasters. Great job!
very well designed game
Very cool! Good job completing LD47. I like your take on the theme.
Cool Game! Well done! I liked how the game becomes more difficult as you go on but also shows you how to play by starting easy.
I really like it. In particular the success sound effect. Just like the game, it's simple but very effective. Great job for just your second game jam, you're going to go far!
A suggestion on how to improve the game would be to give checkpoints to offset the spawns' randomness. Right now I'd guess the spawn is completely random and sometimes the RNG can make or break a run. "Catch-up" points could help aliviate the influence of that randomness.
Nice idea, good implementation. The learning curve was a bit steep for me. I played it first without sound, but did better with my headphones on - so maybe there should be more visual feedback when you "lock" onto an area. I like the way the theme was implemented, this is a game worth more development.
@mbrezu I agree and was amazed how much the sound helped. Thanks for playing :)
