col stuff Music was amazing! i didnt realise i could shoot for a long time, but i survived like forever haha! need to read the text better!

akirassasin 2021-04-26 16:15

Cool idea, but I think the floor rapidly changing colors is a bit too hard on the eyes. Would be nice if there was some visuals to signal the beat too.

asiyeap 2021-04-26 16:55

@hotpaw @akirassasin Thank you so much guys! We can actually to do list! Our game will be better than this.I hope🤓 Future is near! ^^

evogengames 2021-04-26 20:40

nice entry! great music

Loved the character design. Game itself was a bit boring though (although having the rest of the party follow you, might be a cool idea: you can switch the leader (the rest of the group follows you, and every leader has it's own special ability that is unique and helps in specific situations)

on that side note,

congratz on the game! well done

addnone 2021-04-26 21:54

@evogengames thanks for the review. By the way, since this is a jam game we couldn't implement unique skills for each character for this version. Only their attack range changes.(The character in the front has lowest range, character at the back of the line has the longest attack range)

rhoff95 2021-04-27 02:29

Cool art. I like having a small party of characters.

Great choice of music and well executed rhythm mechanic. The animation when stepping between tiles should be a little faster to feel the beat more. Also I got bored quite fast so it should probably have some variety.

@rhoff95 Thanks!

@xcvzxc Thanks for your review. Nice ideas you got there :)

I don't think I understood the game quite well. The blinking tiles are too much for me to keep focused( who could guess, when you see my entry...)

I keep loosing the members of line, not understanding quite how to manage them...

addnone 2021-04-27 12:53

@dhim in this game you use W A S D to move when time to move comes. You attack with space and your attacks are always which way you moved or if you have pressed a movement button you can shoot to other ways also. You lose your members when an enemy hits them. By the way, what do you recommend for the blinking tiles? Do you recommend to make them less bright, or remove them entirely?

dhim 2021-04-27 14:02

I understood the inputs, it was more about the game logic :

You start with the 3 minions, but you only really control the first one. It seems that the 2 behind don't do much until the head one die. But sometimes they die because it takes a lot of moves to get them out of harm way and then find a way to position yourself to hit...

That can be on purpose: like you have 3 life (that are slightly different) that are incarnate in the game, which is cool. But it didn't feel that way when I first played. But that would be nice if it was a bit less clumsy to move them around. I just can't realy wrap my head around the gameplay I think. It seems a mix between a turn based, where when I move ennemies move, and realtime where we all move freely. I think I would prefer to be turn based.

Some different gameplay ideas : * gaining the minions across the floors * in a turn based : separate turn and move, having them all fire when you turn to the side (like a wall of fireman)

*On the graphical part :* On my side the blinking seems out of pace with the music, it's very blinky, maybe too fast and stressful. But once again it might just be that I am not into it. Does it serves a purpose, that the tile be white then black ? I'll make it more subtle, like a 10th of light change.

This are just my reactions to your game because *I* am bad at it.

addnone 2021-04-27 14:30

@dhim Thanks for your valuable ideas. Actually I thought gaining minions across the floors would be a good idea but since it is a 2 day project I thought it would be better to keep it simple. Wall of fireman idea is a very nice idea and actually I couldn't think of it and liked it. On the graphical part, blinking occurs when a turn ends. After each turn you either move, attack or do nothing. It seems that some of users are experiencing out of sync blinking with music. It needs to be looked into.

Thanks again for the review :)

Nice necrodancer style game. Im not sure if the 3d view added much, it might have worked better with just a straight 2d grid. Title screen and animated credits were a nice touch.

addnone 2021-04-27 20:48

@joel-davis Thanks for the review. We tried something different. I think it didn't work that well for this game. Well, at least we tried lol.

cinderblade 2021-04-27 20:59

really neat game, and idea. The strobing effect given by the tiles moving is a bit too much for my eyes

addnone 2021-04-27 21:11

@cinderblade Thanks for the review :)

aditya-kumar 2021-04-28 06:20

I like the crypt of the necrodancer vibes! Rhythm + dungeon crawler is a fun combo. Given the emphasis on rhythm, I would have liked a more varied soundtrack. The gameplay also got a little monotonous after a few rooms (though the challenge was well paced). The time constraints of the jam probably kept you from showing this idea's full potential, but it's a great beginning nonetheless

alina-baybulatova 2021-04-28 16:35

Really good idea) I have fun to play this game! Thank you)

asiyeap 2021-04-28 20:24

rick2112 2021-04-30 17:17

I am so sorry but the flickering of the ground makes me kind of sick. I cant play the game as long as I want to. But I got a score of 1950 before I had to quite. I am sure to reach mutch higher score.

addnone 2021-04-30 18:57

@rick2112 Thanks for your review. We will look into that in the future

gamescodedogs 2021-05-13 12:40

These bits :) are very mesmerizing)

nonumbersgames 2021-05-15 15:31

Really cool idea. Though felt difficult to manage the party, especially since having to change shooting direction also means moving that way. Maybe would have helped to have turning be a separate move from moving. Also would have helped to know which side the shooter is currently facing. But maybe I'm just not used to rhythm games. Either way, I feel it could be really fun if the gameplay was a bit more approachable.
