LD17 — Islands (1)

Rocket Bike To Space by rik

Ha, love the graphics for this are pretty sweet! My only complaint is that it gets pretty brutal with the jumps. Got as far as the ice portion before I needed pretty hardcore timing to get past certain sections.

LD15 — Caverns (41)

Bunker by jazmeister

I have to agree with the consensus here that right now the game seems a little too random for its own good. Very creative though and I love how sometimes the results of the dudes can be very drastically different from your expectations...

Caverns by nitram_cero

It took a few tries, but once this game finally "clicked" and some of the rules started to sink in I was hooked. Great job nitram!

Ninja Spelunker by ExciteMike

The cave tunnel is very entrancing...

Cave without Story by Noyb

The screen shaking is a little too much unfortunately when the stalactites drop. The music however is a big plus in my book.

Candle by Problem Machine

The blog posts alone deserve their own reward.

I'm In A Cave by havchr

The mouse look definitely needs to be sped up quite a bit. The song sells the entire experience though and the monsters remind me a ton of Faceball 2000 with the huge ominous smiling heads.

Ascent by Terry

For having to do a complete restart according to your journal this turned out pretty well. Bordered right on the edge of frustrating, but not necessarily in a bad way...

Collapse by gimblll

The collapse mechanic is awesome. Would love to see this idea expanded.

F = ma by Draknek

Oh my god what is going on I am not good at game.

Seriously though, I appreciate the effort into adding real physics into the movement. But man, is it overly difficult. Maybe a beginning tutorial area to help ease me in as its hard to get adjusted when you're dying constantly initially.

Cavern Relics by flashkick

Strange is the way to describe this game. Very strange.

Knight of the Cave Dragon by Jonny D

I sorta like the blocky gradient thing you have going on with the torches. It would be very cool actually to tailor the style of the game with that general style methinks.

Caves And Bombs by erik

Great effort especially for 10 hours! I really enjoyed how even though the interactions are really simple how you got pretty creative with the later puzzles. Awesome and I love the continued work you've done on this!

CavernMinerThingyThing by mathias

This was a nice take on the "dig" genre of games (like Miner Dig Deep). Adding audio would be a great next step to take, some nice digging sounds and ambient cave noises would be awesome.

Excavatorrr by Hempuli

2 games? Damn you were a machine during Ludum Dare. The retro Colecovision-esque graphics are pretty sweet. Had a ton of fun even if the game got too difficult for me to complete.

NICE CAVE! by dock

Probably the best take on maze games in quite some time...

"Conway's Game of Caverns" by brandonman

Yeah, the movement speed is too slow unfortunately. :/ Makes navigating a bit of a pain.

DiggR by drZool

Like the flooding mechanic, reminded me a lot of Dwarf Fortress. I do think the drowning time is a little harsh, a little more time to swim in deeper waters would be nice.

Xue by angrywaffle

The parallax scrolling and the lighting for the game is very nice. Seems a little simple right now and there doesn't seem to be any penalty for flying to fast and colliding with the walls.

Spaceship in a Cave by jovoc

Seems like a great start to a game! Would love to see you work on it a little more...

Cavern Defense by Stoney

I liked the little audio quips the units made. Wish it was a little more intuitive on how to move around and interact though, I'd like there to be a more distinct "attack" action than sorta mixing both movement and attack as the same thing.

Cave Miner by Wiering

Nice graphics for your entry! The basics of the platforming are good, but it does seem a little too simple as is.

Moons Of Subterrane by stuckie

I guess I liked the idea of this a bit more than playing it. The speed is still a little fast (although that may be intentional), but the really floaty controls were a big problem for me.

Angry Caverns by HybridMind

Never will I venture into caverns the same way again...

LoneStranger's Caverns by LoneStranger

Haha, I agree with the others that being able to move diagonally is a big thing that should be pointed out to players in the game. Also it took me a little while to figure out the exact rules for using the whip and I was a little annoyed when the gems got destroyed by my whip use.

Treacherous Caverns by eugman

Wish there was a way to play this without registering or having to search for games. :/

Grue by sol_hsa

Goddamn that grue!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alien Artifact by lexaloffle

The bubbles of death are frightening.

Fake Gold by BlademasterBobo

My only complaints is that it's a little too easy to die when you're trying to thread the needle between enemies and you move forward one space more than you anticipated. Otherwise freaking awesome.

Burrow by Incendia

I like the idea a lot for a puzzle game. The jumping does seem a little wonky and the game is basically a quest to find the golden pickax, but otherwise good job!

Cave Explorer by adam_smasher

Oh god. The ending is priceless. I had to replay it again because I thought it was a bug. :)

Kavern Keeper by jarnik

I love fatbat so much.

A CAVE FOR MY BIKINI BABES by bburbank

My only complaint is how that laying traps could be a little more precise, but otherwise how can I complain about a game where you kill babes in bikini (that sounds all wrong).

Dwarven Rock Smash by Mag Roader

For some reason the dwarf sprite is super endearing.

Deep Escape by Cosmologicon

The game was sorta difficult for me to play since there was something a little "off" about the movement. Slightly unnatural which made it hard for me to focus effectively. Could be a problem on my side though. :/

Mr Monocle And His Marvelous Madcap Underground Race by deps

The idea of a monocled man riding a penny-farthing deep inside a cavern feels me with great glee. Loved the humor in the game. Wished the movement was a little more precise and not floaty like right now.

Shafted! by recursor

I feel like kindred spirits since my entry also had you going down a shaft and lots of bats. Nice entry although I had some control issues after landing with getting stuck on the platform until I jumped.

Heart of Gold by L

Very cool concept! Definitely a unique spin on the theme of caverns yet at the same time familiar with the usual exploration antics. I like the idea of the planet spinning independent to the player although it takes a little time to get used to the movement being slowed down by the spin.

Secret Cavern by chuchino

The music is fantastic! This is really impressive stuff for 48 hours!

Beacon by ChevyRay

Having played through this game a few times and dwelling on it has made me appreciate it that much more. Amazing job ChevyRay and this is the sort of thing that deserves to win.

Refuge by noonat

Excellent. Evocative yet tense. :)

Cave Fishter by DrPetter

Yeah, I have to agree with the other comments that moving around was just too finicky to have this be much fun. At the very least I don't think you should die if you hit the walls or floors.
