Really really hard.
Really hard. Awkward controls, I never know what I should click and when. Nice amount of content done in such a short time.
That was cool. Altough I don't think you're very nice teasing the penguins by placing the food just above their heads. :)
Quite cool game for such a simple thing, I hope you continue this. Reminds me a bit of Strange Adventures in Infinite Space.
Nice start, I wish there was a game in there.
Nice graphics. A few pixel perfect jumps required could've been fixed. Otherwise, just needs more content and gameplay elements.
(It's the most fun part of Civilization for me too btw., I usually stop playing after that.) I had difficulty understanding what each of the tiles represented and the controls were really hard. I could complete it easiest just by running from wall to wall.
Great idea, but too hard for me to actually have the patience to finish it. Maybe it would've been more playable if you'd use stereo sound. And maybe defining turning a bit better, I had no idea how much every press turned the player.
Had the potential to be a fun game, but the technical implementation leaves it a bit weak. I was constantly getting stuck everywhere and eventually ended in a room in the house from where I couldn't get out. Funny sound effects and lots of bugs to find.
Graphics were nice, fun to look at. I could've used some more things to do. And a minor point, in readme.txt you say that you got the ambience sound from some website when technically we are supposed to make all sound ourselves. (not that I care, just thought I'd let you know)
Nice use of the theme. I explored different pathways and eventually got to "my son" and the dead end text, I guess that was it? I felt that I didn't have much choises to do gameplay wise.
Didn't really figure out what to do, maybe there wasn't anything since its unfinished. Nice idea for an art style, keep working on it!
The brain damage inducing flashing gfx make this unplayable for me. And like others have said, audio should be really done by yourself.
Nice complete game with a good idea supporting it. The controls were a bit too "fiddly" for my taste though. I didn't have the patience to continue after I would've had to start backtracking the levels. (Thanks for the youtube footage so I could actually see it played through!)
Loved it. The small bits of dialogue gave it life.
Was interesting until I got stuck inside ground.
Not very innovative gameplay wise, but very fun and funny, love the cats. Bonus points for great music tracks too! Way too hard for me to actually finish it.
Dunno about the game, but the music makes it worthwhile! :)
Nice pixel graphics. Double tapping didn't seem to respond always which cost me some health a few times.
Nice tech.
First impressions were in the "oh no" range, but after I got playing, it was pretty fun! The player controls were a bit off, but overall, good stuff and I managed to finish it too (which isn't ofthen with LD games :))
Unplayable, the player warps around extremely fast from wall to wall (and sometimes through walls).
Nice! Loved the flashlight vs. texts and how it came together at the end.
Cool retro feel, like it altough the controls were a bit klunky.. but that's just keeping it authentic. :)
Simple labyrinth game, good for what it is. Got through without frustrations. Great penguins. :)
Great work technically and artistically! Gameplaywise it gets too monotonous pretty soon.
Simple, short, to the point. Timer on the levels was a bit annoying.
Lack of other players kills the game a bit, maybe you could've done computer controlled bots too?
A bit difficult to keep track of where you are going. A compass or an automap would've been nice. I would've liked to see how it ends but got frustrated pretty soon.
Loved the idea, really cool!
Ooooooookaaaaayyy..... :)
Nice idea, execution would need much more polish to really be fun. Too unforgiving now, the enemies are so fast.
That was... weird... It could use some more time making the gameplay more interesting, now it's pretty slow and boring.
Was rather short and easy, over before I really even got the gameplay. Nice idea, I wish you'd have had the time to develop a little further.
Loved the graphics, bigger resolution would have been nice. :)
Gameplay was a bit slow, tho.
Interesting idea. I didn't really get when it would collect the stars after holding space and when not, or if it was just strange collision detection. I felt it would've needed a bit more suspence or some other elements to keep it interesting.
Way too difficult, at least for me. Points for doing it in Ruby. :)
Is there a goal? I felt that I could've gone on infinitely if I'd wanted to.
Didn't install on my Vista 64bit, the exe just did nothing.
Nice atmosphere overall, solid entry. Finding the secret passages was a bit hard sometimes, it reduced the platforming to just hugging the walls and firing. I died just after the part in the screenshot and gave up because the continue point was so far behind and it stripped me of my items. The jumping was a tad annoying, I never seemed to hit where I was aiming at. Anyway, very good work for 48h entry!
Nice idea for the killing mechanic, but too little done to make it as a game really.
Fun game! Just goes to show that as long as you get your controls in shape, even a simple game can be fun. Sound effects were the only thing that really annoyed me. :)
Really hard to control the thing. Good music.
I really liked this one, everything about it! Intro/Outro is just great, driving is a lot of fun!
Nice, I enjoyed playing it. But, the slow-building bulldozer is kind of annoying.
Nice screenshot and models. Gameplay ... not so.
no sprungschanzen? :(
He, okay, was fun. If you hold down alt after you jumped you automagically eat the person that escapes from the wrek - easy 6k points :)
