This is a super fun idea. I like the gameplay of charting my course to the next coffee shop to power up. I didn't really get how the contracts work which lead to my demise a few times. Awesome work!
I really enjoyed to play this game. Liked everything about it.
The concept of the game is fairly simple, but the way it is delivered to the player in the game is very solid and concise.
You did a good game, can't wait to see you on the next Ludum Dare!

@cybersoftuk Correct. The world is a torus of 8x6 areas. For each area a template is chosen at random and then populated according to spot probabilities and design rules (buildings must have the entrance placed next to a walkway).
I like the Coffee idea, made me chuckle. haha.
Heh, once I got the 200$+ per selfie contract I just kept on taking pictures in front of the coffee shop for big $$$. I guess that's how it really works, once you're famous you don't need to be interesting ;-) Very fun idea and good execution! A map would be nice as I had to take some 'leap of faith' into the next screen in hope of a coffee shop.
Cool little game! The graphics were nice and the gameplay was interesting (at least for a while). A huge thumbs up for "(messy) plain javascript"! Good job :)
Great entry overall, I didn't know how to get contracts at first so I was just wandering around drinking coffee. When I figured it out the game became fun and enjoyable.
I'm a fan of the whole selfie/influencer theme, especially the satirical edge, which gives it a cool, unique spin on the more ubiquitous phone running out of battery idea. It would have been nice if there was some more sound in there.
I didn't get fully the best way to get selfies with more followers, but the concept behind the game's really nice! More places, more outlets would be really a nice addition to the game and could add a bit more challenge! I think more variation on sounds, could also add a bit more depth to the game.
Having the map procedurally generated is a great thing, which adds up to the challenging and replayability factors! :D

Lol this game was kinda cool ! Graphics are nice, very retro and fit well with the song. The theme is greatly incorporated ! Maybe more places to visit could make the game more fun ! However the fact that the map is randomly generated is very cool ! It's a great game replayable I enjoy to play ! :)
