Very very good game ! A load of fun, the theme is very well respected... Plus the graphics and sound really do a great job together and you worked really hard to give a coherence to the aesthetics you wanted ! Weel done ^^

Really good ! I'm stunned by the kind of things you can do by yourself ! Awesome game, would need better difficulty adjustement I think though, and variations in level design. The graphics are amazing and the sound-design REALLY great !! Then again, no reflexion in the music itself regarding the theme/accumulation/difficulty/tension, or I didn't get to hear it, it's a shame ! Haha, very fun idea x) quite original too :-) Well, there's a little work to do with the shooting mechanic, not always very fluent. As for the music, I'm not very convinced, there is little relation between the theme and the sound. And even if the "gore"/"disgusting" aspect of the sound-design works, the music isn't going in the same direction, so not really working :-/ Maybe you could do something with farting sounds or something ? x) or other disgusting "instruments" ? And the more acid there is the stomach, the more farting melodies there are ? Could be in the theme :-) just saying ! Holy fuck, that's one of the best games of the jam I've tested so far, probably the best ! I reeeeally like this kind of game, speedrunny like, optimlisation is everything... The sound is cool but could be better in terms of music variation. Graphics are great, and do a great job... You should DEFINITELY continue this game, there is a great potential ! REAAAAALLY slow indeed... but still very nice idea, graphics are quite good/animations work well ! GG for the programming ! You have to do something to make the gameplay more active/fun/fast, and build a feeling around the concept/theme. Good game ! It's beatiful, and the music is nice ! (though I didn't get any changes regarding the progression in the game... normal ?) It seems to me that the gameplay isn't fully balanced, a bit hard, and LD lacks checkpoints... There is some work to do on the hook mechanic (very difficult to aim). (about that, the button on xbox controller isn't "RT" but "RB" ;-) ) Nice entry anyways, with very strong visuals ! @jaimuepe ok for the change in the music ! I think it should be a more fluent/constant change, to get the feeling of evolution into the player (for instance : slow transitions or instruments add/overlap, or even a tempo speed-up) With the current game difficulty, it got me frustrated not to have checkpoints even twice a relic :-)

Nice game ! Fun and cool idea about the aging ! About the gameplay/mechanics, it would need some polish to be fully playable (for instance gravity and directional movements when in air), a bit hard currently ! It really took me quite some time to get how to play ! There could be work on the gameplay, to get it to be more accessible/fluid/easy, in accordance with the light tone of the game ! What I really liked was the sound and especially the music (reminding me of the great Banjo-Kazooie), as well as the tone of the game, and the intro cinematic, that builds up the game !! Really cool game :-) I wish there were a checkpoint since this is not so easy... As for the music, is there only one loop ? Wow, that was great ! Thanks for the fun :-D The graphics and music are really cool ! Nevertheless I do have some troubles with the game design, there is little reward in using the hit mechanic that is necessary to the progression in the game. (altough the animations and visual fx are cool and fun ! Big GG for the Dance Queen !). Hey ! I don't know if the issue is coming from the windows build but the game isn't working properly... Sometimes I see hte character and no balloons. And other times it's the reverse. Very difficult, and didn't seem really balanced :-/ also, no sound ? Haha I'm sorry if I'm being a bit harsh, the concept is very cool ! Keep up the work :-)

The music is very good but doesn't seem to have any connection to the theme and gameplay, that's a little minus for me as it's a music for a game :-/ As for the theme in general, there is no impact on the gameplay that there are more people on earth, or at least I think... x) What ?... Would have loved some more explanation, it's hard to get what to do ! Still, awesome graphics ! and great audio mood :-) with some different tracks too, that would have been even better if not just play roughly and instead handled in a middleware audio implementation tool :-)
Awesome entry, I loved the graphics ! We had the same theme idea as you during the brainstorming, as many did I think, but you actually got the guts to do it !! Really nice mood, the music is real good too ! I would have loved some sound-design and sfx too, or at least a bit of dynamic music, to make it perfect ;-) Big GG
XD it was fun ! Good trip x) Anyhow, I'm not a fan of the "best played with the background music you want" ^^" You could have used some sound variations, sound-design (maybe a funny one ?) and/or dynamic music that evolves to boost you up when you do great, or that kind of thing. Audio is important ^^
@kr4ft3r if it's a jam call me ;-) for a compo, I suggest using synths, like in cubase or some other DAW, (maybe you can practice between jams !) and mix them together with several free sounds you found online, for example you take the start of a sound, the middle of an other and the end of a third (chosen wisely) to give birth to something new :-) For the music, you can do some loops that go well together (you can use synths too) within a DAW again, and then use FMOD (or just your own coding skills) to make conditions for the different instruments to fade in and out, and for the different loops to transition from one to another, etc :-)
Not entirely sure what the eff I was doing in here but the experience was worth a try x) You did a great job there ! Good coding and the graphics are efficient, so does the sound-design, you found the pitch modulation ! It's perfect ;-)

That was really fun ! The idea is really good and it's easy and funny to remember the associations ^^ The art is great too ! It seems to me that level design could be improved to have a growing difficulty, the beginning is already quite hard since you don't get many monsters that have associations with the food you get. And the food disapears really fast sometimes ! Appart from this, GG !! Check our game Shblow !

I Effing LOVED IT <3 Amazing graphics that throw me right back in the old days of SNES games (I mean prettyyy ones). Mood was amazing with the different views... I had a hard time understanding the mechanics though and it takes time to understand the use of all the items you can build. The theme is respected but could be a little more present in the gameplay, tough the idea is good !! (removing space to move was the thing that I found really good) Sound and music are reaally good too :-) And the overall "story telling", like how you make the monster appear and the scening... Simple and fun, that's the kind of games I like ! Still it quickly became boring :-/ not much work on developing the gameplay and difficulty, and not work on the audio as well... Next time ask me if you want a composer/sound-designer ;-)
Although the game looks VERY nice for a jam (lots of work O-o big GG !!!!), I got stuck at the very beginning not understanding what to do, the boss doesn't seem to be taking any damage and there are no audio feedback on most of the important actions (the boss hits, picking up an object, etc...). Also, since you run out of ammo very fast if spamming the gun on the boss (natural reaction when a player is put in a situation like that), it's just a free punish for the player that he can't find ammo anywhere (maybe there is some ? I didn't see it). You have to start again, and again, getting killed to do so. It's very frustrating ^^ I wanted to play the whole game !! I personally think you could have spent less time on the graphics and more on leading the player and finding a real use to these nice graphics... :-/ that's a shame, your work would have certainly been awesome !!! That was nice and made me laugh ! This could be taken further though ! With some explanations on how many packages you can throw in each space, having more spaces with very different efficiencies, not starting the tuto again when doing a new game, thinking of a mechanics where the number of click per second is not a must have skill XD (for the lake), etc. It was a good entries anyways !
