Although the controls were a bit difficult at first, this was fun to play. I love the animation on the main character.

Thank you for your feedback :)
Yeah the controls were a bit unclear. But it was fun to play. There was a lot of detail in the game. I like it.
Music and sound were nice too
Thanks for the feedback :) I will let our team mate responsible for sound and music know.
HEY very cool game haha ! The intro wow ! It was first game of ludum i played with an intro :p GG Take care of the controls too ;)
Thanks, Antoine :)
Great fun
Thanks! MachoCodes! :)
I like that kind of game where you should balance. But controls is quite hard at first time, as other people said. And I can't really understand where should I fly and what to do with bananas and black fruits.
The music is good, funny and relaxing.
@interpol, thanks. We should have explain better, but in our defense a description is on the page ;) Still this is something for us to remember next time
Wow!!! Love the design! Great work!
Thanks a lot Ambermqs! @interpol - if You like the music - there is no better compliment for me ;)
Especially love the intro cinematic! Wish we had time to do something like that for our game.
Controls were a bit wonky, but a fun game nonetheless!
Thanks @the_ShaderMaster :) it means a lot for us :)
I'm a big fan of swinging games so I liked this game. The control is a little finicky though. I would have liked if you could swing back and forth with a little more power, and moving up and down on the rope was really inconsistent. Also, if you had made an animation for the swinging monkey, even if it was just a static pose it would have really made this a more complete package. .I love the paint brush style for the monkeys. Not really sure how this game fit the theme, I guess in that the more fruit you have the harder it is to hold all of it?
@Danmanngames yes, if you hold more fruits, your weight is increasing, so you are swinging slower. Thanks for review!
This game remember me a ninja rope of worms! heeheh Great entry! I really enjoy the main menu and th main character. good work!
Hey guys! This is the best game I’ve played so far. I’ve spent a good 30+ minutes because of several reasons, first of all I like the game as i told you but this is so addicting. I really want to get those 20 eggplants/bananas but it’s real hard.
Anyways the graphics looks reeeeeeaaaally good, i love it. I spent like 5 minutes just looking at the character dancing in the titlescreen.
Concerning the audio, the music was cool it reminded me of the plant vs zombies soundtracks somehow.
Overall I LOVE this game very much. I had an amazing time playing it. And I’m definitely going back to play this game tomorrow. Thank you so much for this experience and good luck in the future! Have an awesome day, and I hope to see you in the next jam!

@dudum-lare Wow! :) Really thanks for this! We did our best! :)
Superb cinematic! The game controls are a bit inaccurate and physics go wild to easily, but it has been fun to play.
Thank you Isak for such a glowing review!
Thank you everyone who played, rated and commented :)
Nice intro haha ! Really loved the graphics, sounds and voice ! Cool effect when clicking on option or play, but maybe, it yould have ben better if buttons where on the sheet itself instead of popping a menu ? Concerning the game, i thought it was too hard and i experienced some bugs with the rope (sometime i was attracted very fast). I was also frustred with the fact we can't walk, even a little. Nice concept overall, good luck
Looking at the video the swinging looks so easy, but I couldn't get the hang of it. I either retracted too fast or swung to rapidly to lose any fruit I had. I did managed to jump around in the air a fair amount by jumping on the actual fruit I had gathered - I don't think it's designed to allow that though? =) I love floating islands so that part I enjoyed.
antoined73, Imphenzia - thank you for your feedback, we will definitely take it to heart when we create our next game :)
This is fantastic! Well done on the narrative elements in the beginning. The gameplay could be more responsive although it is definitely on the right track. Keep up the good work.
Thank you @stefenism :)
It really took me quite some time to get how to play ! There could be work on the gameplay, to get it to be more accessible/fluid/easy, in accordance with the light tone of the game ! What I really liked was the sound and especially the music (reminding me of the great Banjo-Kazooie), as well as the tone of the game, and the intro cinematic, that builds up the game !! Well done, you could very well continue your work and polish the game mechanics, it would be really cool ^^ GG and go see our game ;-) https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/the-darkest-light
I loved the art, loved the sound, the idea was really good. As many others, I also had trouble with the controls. Retracting the rope just the right amount was really difficult. I also died a few times where I'm not sure I hit anything at all.
Oh, and the intro gave the game a really luxurious feel :)
@josscomposer thank you for the encouraging words :) we are thinking right now, if we should continue the development
@bart-huylebroeck thank you for your kind words :)
I really like the level graphics, so cute :) And the fact that you made an intro to explain a story is also very cool. Anyway, one thing I've noticed is lack of "swinging" animation, which is quite funny btw.
@dingysandy thank you for your feedback. I'm very happy you like our little game :)
