Great entry, I like the art style and the music is pretty cool as well.
I like the volcano graphic. And its fun to click the little guys and it looks cool and busy as they walk around.
Godot is a fun engine, good to see what can be done with it. The HTML5 version didn't work for me (Linux did).
I kept getting ahead the volcano's requests for sacrifice and double sacrificed a person of the same type and got a game over. Maybe the volcano should inform you of the change sooner?

Really cool. I definitely got impatient, but kept dropping in people. I really liked the sounds and could have gone on sacrificing people for longer than I would like to admit. I wish I could drop in more people faster without losing. If you make this a webgame let me know and I will be you first click addict. volc shot.png

Great game! I really like the sounds and the art style is very cute. It's fun to play and until now it's my favorite game from this jam. I got a little impatient waiting for the right little guys to appear, but I don't think this is bad at all, since this made me forget what I was doing, lose and then want to play again.

Hey Volcano brother (our game is volcano themed as well), your volcano is super cute, and I love the voice it uses to request a man to eat up. My game stopped requesting people after the second one, so I clicked on one randomly and the rage the volcano had... haha loved it.
Enjoyed the game quite a bit, once I caught onto the pattern mechanic it made the game a lot easier, just boiled down to a memory game. I found the graphics very quaint and fitting; I think while the sound isn't being rated on that the music and sound fit very well with your art and the game. My only real gripe with the game is it seems the redheads are rarer than other spawns and there was a lot of downtime waiting for the spawns. I kind of wish the game prioritized the people in your 'queue' as it were. Good job with the game, I'm glad I checked it out.
Oh my! The volcano is so cute! :) Sometime I just can't click on the walking guys though.. it makes it damn hard to satisfy the volcano, but I guess this is not intended. It would be nice if you could fix it.

Simple but effective. It is essential the game simon but with throwing the right person into the volcano. It could have been more challenging to keep interest. Overall it was a fun game.

That was a nice quirky entry! Wasn't expecting a Simon-says game at first, but it was a curious fit with the theme. I made around 1100 points before losing my run because I confused the last character of a chain of six I believe. The graphics are really the shine of the game though, and the pixel-art is very crisp and appealing. The Kevin MacLeod was also a nice fit. Overall a very nice package that would have been even better with just a bit more content and innovation to it!
The only issues I found with the game was that you sometimes could click through people that were behind each other which would throw them all into the volcano in a single go and make me lose the game. The second issue was that, if I clicked on individual people too fast, only one of them would count for 100 points, rather than each of them. Playing it more slowly rewarded me with 100 points each though.

I like the music. The pixelart was ok, I liked the death animation, the smoke effect and the clouds. A shot tutorial would be nice (it doesn't have to be in the game, it can be on the ludumdare site). The volcano is cute^^

Cute little game - I clicked on this game because of the graphics style which is pretty cute but also effective and doesn't distract the player from the game itself. I like the little face on the vulcano the most :D To be honest at first I thought this game was pretty simple but after playing 5 to 10 games it got more and more fun to try and beat my highscore. I like how the tempo changes after a few correct rounds but the hardest part is, that the people seem to spawn random so I had to wait a few times till I could pick up the right man and had to remember at which sacrifice I stopped. I just had one problem: sometimes when two people were above each other I picked up both of them by accident and either didn't know where I was in my run or lost the game because of it :(
The game has an influence by simon says but I think you showed us that you have nice ideas to stand out from other simon says games. Nice work ^-^

It was cute despite the volcano ready to annihilate everything just by anger haha! I sometimes couldn't click on characters but it was cool to play!
The death sound effects get me every-time. The sounds and music is very well made - so is the artwork. There was a time where the volcano wasnt doing anything - then I realised it called out humans in a sequence - so its a memmory game as well - nice. This was not clear to begin with though.

Great artwork, and the music fits really well. I kept dying though after 3 sacrifices. Not sure why. I was selecting the right people. The mouse click occasionally didnt respond. Overall a cool little game.

Cool game, only problem is that I when I clicked on two humans walking over each other they were both thrown in. Maybe add like a highlight to which human is going to be thrown in. Still, a cute quirky game! Maybe throw in a description saying its a memory game with a description on how to play it

Such a happy volcano! Cute music! Angry music! Almost frightening! I love it. The game is simple, but very well implemented, and wonderfully polished. I especially appreciated the design when I had to wait for around 20 seconds before the right human to show up along the bottom - a true test of my memory. I got to 1700 and could have kept going, but failed when I clicked two people that overlapped. That was a little annoying, but I think I'd experienced the whole game by that point so really it's a non-issue.

Sound effects are maaaaaaybe a bit too harsh, though? They definitely took me by surprise when they were played extremely loudly on top of the otherwise soothing backtrack. >.<
Also, I'd suggest taking a look at your random sequence generator. ;) I stopped playing after I kept getting the same character added to my sequence over and over. By the end the sequence was Light Shirt, Dark Shirt, Light Shirt, Light Shirt, Light Shirt, Light Shirt, Light Shirt, Light Shirt, Light Shirt...etc. Dark-skinned people were never requested. :P
First try, score: 3600. Not bad, I hope? :D I enjoyed everything from the game mechanics and art to sound selection (besides the guy falling in, for the peaceful mood that was a little harsh). Well done!

I had it framed as a 3-2-2 and then repeating, with one swap. At that point it was taking so long, that the hard part was not so much remembering the sequence as waiting for the dudes to come and remember where I WAS in the sequence at that moment. A few times I really had to wait a long time!
Then the volcano would repeat. At this point I was up to a chan of 9, then 10, then 11, and I started to feel like the chain was too long and just deliberately picked the wrong guy to see what would happen. I think I got a little luck in having such an easy pattern to recall, though. (Unless that's not random?)
Anyway, that was my run. I found the game really charming with great art that works super-well. Everything was really clear, and looked polished and with charm. Especially the volcano. I enjoyed the smoke coming from it in the title screen and I honestly just watched it so long I heard the song loop!
If I could add one thing, it would be a "correct" sound when I complete the full chain. Also, I wondered what it would be like with a faster pace: The volcano only says ONE guy, and it's the new one at the end of the chain, instead of repeating the whole chain. That, plus code to ensure that if any type of guy is not available he is swiftly spawned. It was really the pace bogging down as the chain got real long that eventually made me tap out, up til then it was fun/interesting.
Game itself was a little bit simple, but that's okay too.
I know the music and sounds weren't yours, but they were well-selected, and worked with the game seamlessly.

This was a lot of fun! The audio was pretty cute, and the art is charming. The simple gameplay is addictive, but every now and then I'd end up clicking two people by accident instead of one, ruining my nice long chains. Perhaps a greater variety of people could also add more challenge? Overall I was entertained, good job!
cute little game, ran into a lot of technical challenges though: really hard to click on characters, could use bigger hitboxes. Then one time I clicked one and it sent it and another nearby character into the volcano and I lost. I never saw the volcano not repeat itself, it would always choose the same type of character over and over, and usually it would take forever to spawn the right character. Fun game in theory, seems like a good memory puzzle game which I'm into, but technical issues brought it down for me. If it helps, I'm on Ubuntu. If you fix those issues in a post jam version hit me up, I'd be interested in playing. Great visuals, animations, and audio effects.
Nice work on the pixel art on this one! Really enjoyed playing it too and got to 1100 points. Got a black screen in the web version on chrome so had to download it.

This game was fun ! For some reason I just clicked randomly on people because the sound they made was so much fun... maybe I need some help.
What the game could use though, is to make sure there are always at least one of each type of villager on the screen. Had to wait 30+ seconds for a black guy to appear, so I threw all the others into the volcano in the meantime.
Great music and sounds for the volcano! It felt really peaceful until the volcano erupted! I actually lost because I clicked on a person who was overlapping with another person beneath. Maybe the clicks should also check who is on top and only throw that person in. This is a great example of a well executed game that revolves around a simple, already existing idea and turning it into something refreshing.
Also minor point, for some reason the game could not load on Chrome (black screen) so I had to use Firefox. This was before I read the warning. Maybe the URL could write it as firefox only as it is may not be common to read the bottom descriptions.
Theres nothing particularly innovative about the game, but the mood created by the sound effects and music is hilarious! The thing which bugged me the most was that it seemed like the way people spawned was true randomness, and it literally took two minutes for a red haired person to show up, and when on finally showed up I needed a second one as well which took another 30 seconds. Rather then becoming a test of my memory, it becomes a test of patience. And I am also very very unlucky :(

Very funny game. I loved the "blablablabla" from the volcano! Sound, Art, are very nice. It's a bit frustrating to have to wait until the end of the volcano wishes before killing peoples.
I got pretty far in, and it was cute and quirky and fun, but when I scrolled on the page it selected a guy I didn't want to kill! :(

Awesome entry! I got 2100 finally. Graphics is good and the game over effect is cool. Blua blua blua sound is so humorous :smile: But the spawning rate is slow for higher level, I have to wait several seconds to find the person I need.

For a last-minute entry, this is great! Sure, it's simple, but it's well-executed, very addictive, and very charming. The graphics are good, your music choice fits well, and the screaming when you throw someone into the volcano is more satisfying than it has any right to be. Managed to score 2800 on my second go - on my first go I got about 1000 then accidentally double-clicked and threw in one more person than I meant to.
Great entry. I'm sure there's a way you could turn this into a fall game somehow, because I'd definitely play it if you did.

I like your literal interpretation of the theme, the pixel art is lovely, and it's great to see someone submitting a game using Godot! I did find that the person generation didn't seem to be very even, so I ended up spending a long amount of time waiting for the required sacrifice to appear.

Cool game, fits the theme well too! I would make the spawning faster or make more spawn at once so that the player finds the different options quicker, since it sometimes takes a while for the right guy to spawn and in later rounds you need several people to sacrifice. I noticed that if two people are walking past eachother and you click on them it sacrifices them both instead of picking one or just the guy in front. This usually ends with the player losing the game since they only wanted one of them to be sacrificed.

Fun game with a lot of polish, it could have been replaced with a game where you click on a sequence of numbers on your keypad and it would have been the same game but without any sort of atmosphere or element of sacrifice. Great example on how important polishing is because I played the game for much longer than I would have had otherwise.
