Just had a quick look at this, I'm impressed. Quite creative solution to the "Your life is currency" theme. I'll play this tomorrow for sure, once my brain isn't fried anymore.

I love the graphics and animations - very well done! They often get stuck and unable to move, which makes it hard to progress, but even with just a few making it to the destination it's kinda fun to play with. It's a pity you ran out of time to make any puzzles, but what you did achieve was great!
Wow! Really impressive game. Congrats for your skills :)
Very very cute creatures! The concept is just great, I think there are the bases for a great game. Great job.
The physics and movement of the Squishies is quite impressive for a compo entry; it's not surprising you didn't have much time to work on puzzles after that. Hopefully you'll finish it up by slapping a few levels on here afterwards so those neat mechanics don't go to waste!
This is really amazing; shame that you didn't have time to create any puzzles. This seems really promising! The movement of the squishies is great, and I believe many nice puzzles could be made with this idea. Great work!
Just a note: for me, speeding up the time was really laggy.
Thanks everyone.
@rsim Yeah, I know it is easy to get some stuck sometimes. Having a way to de-construct a squishy again would probably have helped, but no time left, so...
@grllle Hey, thanks. I really loved your game too!
@fm-studio Haha, yeah. I went for cute, but I think I made them too cute for my own taste.
@neverautomatic No promises, but I will see what I can do.
@rheel I am not surprised by that, but good to know... After all, all the calculations (physics, pathfinding, ...) need to happen 5 times faster when using the button. Turning off all the hair physics during the speed would have been wise though, but oh well. :smirk: I am guessing the lag is only in the WebGL version?
The concept is cool but it's to bad to not have more levels.
@jeroenpx Yes indeed. I downloaded it to try, and the 5x speed works perfectly fine in the Windows version.
Looks wonderfully squishy! I can see some Lemmings-like puzzles happening. I think deconstructing squishies would've destroyed the puzzle-aspect, but I expected squishies to be able to jump on top of each other..
Instead of buttons on the screen, I would've preferred left mouse button vs right mouse button. (I realise this doesn't work on a phone :-P )
They are so incredibly cute! See me play it here: https://youtu.be/c8kvXyHNLQs
I abolutely loved that you gave them all individual names. Makes me assign a character to each of them immediately. I felt sorry for the ones that I head to leave behind "constructed". Great potential for a Lemming-esque game. Well Done!
The idea is really funny, and the animations is super good. The controls and squishies movements needs some improvements. Overall the game fields a bit unfinished, but the game have a lot potential.
The game is pretty cute, Loved the characters ^^
Very cool movement, animation and overall "feeling" of the game :)
Too bad for the lack of sound, it could have really helped :(
Nice cute fluffy graphics and interesting gameplay. Good entry!
Those squishies are so damn cute. I really would play a full version of this game, with levels and actual puzzles. The AI is phenomenal. I just wish you could select multiple squishies at the same time sort of like in Total War or other RTS games.
Nice work!
I ran out of time too lol don't feel bad. Very cool to get complicated mechanics and absurdly cute characters with kinetic fur working in 48hr. This would feel at home on a mobile or tablet, i think would work quite well with touch controls.
I love that they all have individual names.
Very nice concept, loved it. Graphics are neat. Hope you will continue and finish the development. But as a prototype this is awesome. Good Job!
@bart-huylebroeck You know me well, I always try to port to mobile. However, that is not the reason that I used buttons for movement. I would actually also have preferred mouse-only controls but the 48 hours did not contain enough time to work on that.
@rialgar It was really fun to see you play the game! Thanks for playing! It was also interesting to see you try to figure out how the pathfinding works! The pathfinding is something I wrote myself. During the game the code dynamically builds a graph of possible paths and then I am running a shortest path algorithm on that. I will probably still publish a blog post about it (I started on the post already).
@rheel Thanks for testing that!
@pierre-cilluffo @bart-huylebroeck @rialgar @jk5000 @rsim @fm-studio @neverautomatic @rheel @shunaky @simone @bbaf @mateusboga @cheesepencil @jordgubben @meskaline Thanks everyone for playing and for the feedback! Yeah, the game is rather unfinished. I did not have enough time to make nice controls, puzzles, sound ... **But good news! I decided I will continue working on this and make it a full game!** If you are interested to follow the progress, you can follow me on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/jeroenpx) or [Game Jolt](https://gamejolt.com/games/squishies/414605).
I am currently working on a more flexible construction mechanic! JumpStack_Small.gif
