It was ok, it played well. The fact you can choose your screen and graphics is sweet. But in my squared screed some data were a little out of the screen. Also when I turned on very low definition my character was very fast, you may have to find a way to synchronize the game or something to make the speed depending on your chose of rhythm. I played with the Linux version it was sweet to see people sharing on Linux.
Nice GameBoy console game style. I like it.
@ad31 Thank you for the feedback, I'll definitely work on that! @andrey-ugolnik Thank you!
Consider uploading the build to somewhere else other than github. Downloading from github is tricky. Also, I see that you have the Assets and Library folders of your game included in your build. These are not needed. The Library folder is going to bulk up the download size by a lot.
@phantom-dinosaur Sorry, I didn't know that. I will fix it in a sec! Thank you!
Well... I followed the directions on your GitHub page, got it downloaded, but running it gives me a "Failed to load mono" error. Couldn't run.
@chris-coe Sorry, I hadn't tested on Windows before. I'll try to fix that!

Umm, there's only a Linux build??
@nnnikki Just added a Windows build. Sorry, I was fixing a bug and had to take it off for a while.
Nice game! Simple concept, nice graphics and music. I had fun! Great work for your first jam!

Simple, but a pretty nice game overall. It's a different take on a platformer, which is honestly great to see. My criticism of it is that collision feels off. For example, coins briefly stop the player, especially when falling on top of them. I recommend you do in future is tick the "Is Trigger" box in the editor and use the "OnTriggerEnter2D" method instead of "OnCollisionEnter2D" when you create collectible items. You might also find the "OnCollisionExit2D" method useful for preventing the player jumping in mid air. I found that if I walked off a platform without jumping, I could jump in the air.
TL;DR I have a few criticisms of the collision, but overall this is a solid entry, especially for your first Ludum Dare.

Nice game! If this is your first game jam game, then congrats! My only problem with this game is that when there's a game over, you acn continue playing. APart from that, I enjoyed it! Also, why did you leave out the rating for audio and art? It was great!
@geekdrums Thank you! @jajo Thank you for the tip, I'll do that next time! @nnnikki Thanks! I left the rating for audio and art because I didn't create them.

Overall simple but fun game! The artstyle and the music are great and fit well with the game. The monster collisions could be inproved a bit because I felt that you could sometimes die even when landing on top (corner) of monsters.
Neat game for a first game jam, it feels like a finished game. The screen reducing on you make for a good sense of oppression and force you to move quicker. I really liked the color palette you chose which give some uniqueness to your game. I just found it strange to be able to keep moving when a monster cought you. Overall great entry, keep it up for next LDs!

Short and fun game! Very easy to understand, instructions are well explained. Collecting coins and killing enemies was very satisfying. Music fit the mood of the game very well, I also loved the colour palette. Great job!
pretty atmospheric id say. also the first game that i didnt had to close with alt+f4 ;: D even thou some of them were also made with unity.
Solid little platformer! Movement felt a little clunky at times (especially around pickups & enemies - do they possibly have non-Trigger colliders on them?), but enjoyable nevertheless.
Theme use isn't quite what I was expecting, but it works. The functioning menu system is a nice touch, too - it's often all too easy to ship without one in LD's time constraints. All in all, it's just all-around *decent*, which is a good way to be for Ludum Dare.
(Also, hello fellow Linux user!)
