Fantastic! The gameplay is simple enough to learn it quick, but the art is mind-boggling. Great job!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD47 → Hyperbolic Space Fighters Extreme!

Wow the art is amazing!
Trippy. I like it! Good job!
It was interesting, I was able to stay in one place for a long time and rack up the points
Are you fractals huge fan??))
Great art!
@firegamer3 It's technically a flaw in the game because the closer you are the ring, the further things are away from you in hyperbolic space. A side effect of the space.
The art is fantastic. It's mindblowing to predict what will happen in this looped topologic conundrum.
Interesting game. Gameplay is smooth and art is beautiful. It was a fun 10 minute :smirk:
This is definitely mind-bending. Fantastic visuals and a very intriguing concept. It's difficult to determine where you are and where your shots will go, but that's also what makes it interesting. I think some sound effects would have gone a long way, even just simple ones for shots and exploding polygons.
Wow. Such an amazing idea! Art style is fascinating. Still feel the lack of audio and any kind of effects though. Also very impressive that you made THIS kind of game with YOUR OWN programming language. But overall, I like it a lot.
Looks amazin! I imagine it must have been a lot of fun and challenging doing the math for this! Enjoyed it.
Wow that was trippy! The gameplay was pretty easy but that effect looks awesome, and it's super impressive that you even did it in your own programming language and (presumably) engine! I've tried on two past occasions to finish an LD submission using a custom engine, but both times I failed to meet the deadline. So props for pulling it off!
One tiny quality-of-life improvement would be to tweak the gameover screen so that pressing space and WASD doesn't restart the game. If you're mashing the spacebar to shoot while playing, and then you die, you may accidentally skip the game over screen and restart the game without even seeing what your score was.
Hyperbolic space is trippy! Having the score be represented with letters as a I guess base 26 number is pretty cool too! And creating a game using your own programming language is incredible - you are amazing. Good job - fun game :).
this looks super cool but I don't have openGL 4.5 :( is this a graphics card thing or just a driver thing?
Beautiful game! I think this is the first game where I'm more interested in the code that made it than the game itself, especially when the game itself is pretty good.
So beautiful ! Now I want to learn how to do that kind of generated art...
Aw man, I really wanted to try this but I don't have OpenGL 4.5 unfortunatelly :/
I'm always obsessed with hyperbolic space games! Really interesting!
Awesome Hyperbolic rendering! Works great on linux with wine.
Love the background visuals! Gameplay is pretty simple, but I was enjoying it as a chill game to relax with.
Great art, sometimes my eyes got too sick of looking
Woah, I feel like the game could benefit by having a more relaxed color palette, but the hyperbolic space idea is super cool! Great job, it's really neat.
Very nice idea! I haven't played a game like this before. Gameplay was smooth and graphics beautiful. Bonus points for using your own language!
THE COLOURS!
What a beautiful background! Great art - clever gameplay. Thank you ++
Very nicely done. Just one downside - the nature of hyperbolic space means it's possible to effectively park off towards the edge, shoot towards the centre, and never get hit by any of the fragmented enemies. There's so much more space around the outside, so the likelihood of actually being hit by anything goes way down. Not sure how you'd fix this without breaking the geometry though!
