"try not to sacrifice them!" a sort of hamfisted way of fitting it in the theme, it but okay haha.

I love the graphics, and the puzzle nature of the game! Nice work. If you wanted to push the theme a bit more, and gave a use to the multiple creatures you have per-level. You could make the Launch button spit all of them out at once. each time one of them hit a trampoline, it could rotate randomly. And you'd have to readjust their rotations before the next creature hit.

Then the objective would be to keep as many alive as possible.

nice work

timeshapers 2018-12-03 10:19

Score: 583

Would have liked a better indicator where the first one would drop. Really cute graphics. Game lacks depth, and the core mechanics aren't very compelling. Theme would have worked better if there was no way to know how fast the launch pad shoots without testing them.

dunin 2018-12-03 10:26

Nice idea,

I wish there were more puzzles. The game stops when things get challenging...

vatigo 2018-12-03 10:48

Nice puzzle game with very cute graphics and sounds. This is right up my alley. There's a strange bug on mac os 10.14. mouse pointer is huge and incorrectly positioned so clicking on anything is almost impossible. The problem went away when I tried to take a screenshot so I managed to finish the game. Perspective sometimes makes it hard to tell if the pillars are aligned.

apace 2018-12-03 12:06

675! While I don't think the game fit the theme as well as some others I played, I really enjoyed this. Nice puzzle mechanics and the level design was quite good. I agree with you that I would love some more levels added to this! Also, some music would have been nice, but I can't complain given the great game you made with only 28 hours of time.

Hats off!

virtual-turtle-studio 2018-12-03 13:09

@pandan Thanks so much for the compliments! My initial idea was much more theme-related but I had to change some things, to make the game 'actually fun', haha! Good suggestions though.

virtual-turtle-studio 2018-12-03 13:11

@timeshapers Hi, thanks for the feedback! Glad you liked the graphics. I agree about the indicator part. Although they drop on the yellow trampoline every time, I would have liked to add some extra flair or an floating arrow to it. Time constraints.. I feel that the core mechanic would shine a lot more, if there were some more side-mechanics (like button switches that move platforms etc.) Maybe stuff for the future!

virtual-turtle-studio 2018-12-03 13:13

@dunin Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! I'm so sorry, I would have loved that too ;) However, the levels were the last thing I did, and then it turned out to be 15 minutes for the deadline, so literally no time to add more. My brain was also too exhausted to think up more puzzles! I'd love to expand in the future!

virtual-turtle-studio 2018-12-03 13:14

@vatigo Thanks! It's nice to see people appreciating that I make the kind of games that I would love to play too :D I'm sorry about the mac bug: I totally forgot about that, but it has happened before in other projects. I don't have a mac myself so I don't know a workaround. I'm glad the screenshot thing worked though! And yeah, I agree on the perspective part: I had to do camera placement rather quickly but that didn't always turn out amazing. Thanks for playing man!

virtual-turtle-studio 2018-12-03 13:16

@apace That's a great score, actually! You're a real puzzler, I see ;) I'm a terrible level designers, so I take those compliments with pride! I would have LOVED music, but I've never made any and I feel it wouldn't be very good if I don't practice first, haha. Plus time constraints, as you said. Thanks so much for checking it out :)

akros 2018-12-03 19:05

Simple to understand puzzle game! Low poly art and sfx were great as well. The only thing I can complain about is unclear identification where the creature will fall when you launch it)

virtual-turtle-studio 2018-12-03 19:11

@akros Thanks so much for playing! Yeah, I hear that a lot, haha. They always fall on the golden/yellow trampoline. I'm going to add more of in indication there! Thanks for the feedback man, glad you enjoyed.

ytaha 2018-12-04 03:08

Great game. Love the puzzle. I can say not knowing which one it will launch on at first but everybody already said that

Maybe you can add a little more variety to the game because it can get boring real fast. Maybe something that clones them and sends one to right and one to the left or something like that

virtual-turtle-studio 2018-12-04 07:34

@ytaha thanks for playing!! Great suggestions, i would love to expand it

jharler 2018-12-04 17:06

I scored 592! This was a fun game. The graphics were cute and well done. Not much in terms of audio, but the boings were cute too. At first it was tough determining where your first little guy was going to come in from, but once I figured it out that was fine. Angle of travel was also sometimes tricky, but for most levels it was fine. Overall, very nice work!

virtual-turtle-studio 2018-12-05 05:17

@jharler Thanks a lot for checking it out! Glad you enjoyed it ;) yeah, I decided I needed atleast SOME audio like 45 minutes before the (for me 3am) deadline, but I would have loved to add some more. Thanks for the feedback!

nakami 2018-12-05 10:07

Nice and smooth level design difficulty progression. The fact that is not a top view not allow to do perfect the first trow to every level, I not sure to know if it's a good thing or not, I just say it.

norfma 2018-12-05 10:25

Hey there, I love the game. The idea is pretty simple and fun to play.

The game could've been slightly better with a good indicator of where the wembie is going to drop from. Also, right clicking the pillars to rotate them counter clockwise would have been nice.

jk5000 2018-12-05 10:38

A very cute and a very fun little puzzle game. Give us more levels and show us where the animals gets dropped from. Overall a good LD game.

hilvon 2018-12-05 10:47

Nice little puzzle game.

It's not too obvious which trampoline is the starting point, but it's not too hard to figure out and if you get it wrong it costs you only one critter to realize this.

The theme however is not well implemented as the goal of the game is to awoid those sacrifices, while theme stated that they must be made...

ethan-grant 2018-12-05 11:01

Hi there, nicely done!

Sounds are fun, the perspective/3d is lovely. Things I'd wish to see: - would be great to see which is the starting point, though I suppose that could be considered a sacrifice! - the initial intro text has a very large font for my screen - perhaps right click could cycle the pillars backwards - could be nice to get a better idea of which ones rotate in either the model or texture

Otherwise lovely stuff, I had fun!

juan-hust-novella 2018-12-05 11:04

i like this puzzle games, it works perfect, however sound is poor.

virtual-turtle-studio 2018-12-05 18:55

@nakami Thanks so much for playing, glad you enjoyed! A possible top-down mode is a great suggestion, I'll look into it! Thank you :)

@norfma Thank you for checking it out! Glad you enjoyed. I agree on both points, although I already implemented your second suggestion in the future build, haha! Thanks for the feedback!

@jk5000 Cheers! I love making levels for it, so I just need to find some time, hehe. Great suggestions!

@hilvon Thanks for playing man :D I get that feedback from everyone, haha. I need to do something about it.. I agree on the theme part. I actually wanted to make a button-mechanic, where you needed to sacrifice multiple wembies in order to get one to the finish, but I ran out of time. Thanks for the feedback!

@ethan-grant Thanks very much for playing! Super glad you enjoyed it. I hadn't thought about your first point like that before, but that's a pretty good workaround for the theme :o Maybe it should have been a random trampo?? Damn, missed opportunity! I'm sorry about the resolution problems, I'm still learning UI scaling! I already implemented your third suggestion in the future build of the game, great feedback! Yeah, right now the rotatable pillars are slightly lighter, but they should have a different symbol or something. Thanks a bunch for playing!

@juan-hust-novella Glad to hear that! I did the sounds in the middle of the night, 30 minutes before the deadline, so I have to agree with you ;-)

skiddings 2018-12-05 20:58

Nice and accessible mechanic, a complete implementation of the idea too. It like the style too, clean and evocative and easy to reconfigure for each level.

kitarraman 2018-12-05 21:41

It was a nice puzzle game, I liked the graphics and the idea behind the game, but I found it lacking in the audio department. Lovely sound FX for the creatures, but it definitely needed some background music. As Ethan suggested, I would have loved to be able to turn the pillar backwords by clicking it with the RMB. Fun game overall

miltonsilva 2018-12-06 04:31

muito fofo o personagem as mecanicas sao bem simples de se entender entao nao tive problemas para jogar o jogo .

virtual-turtle-studio 2018-12-06 05:37

@skiddings Thanks for checking it out buddy! I wanted to make a nice kick-back-and-relax style puzzlegame, so Im glad to hear I succeeded!

@kitarraman Super glad you enjoyed man! Thanks for the feedback. I totally agree on the audio, but it was late and I suck at that, haha. Your second suggestion has been implemented in the future build!

@miltonsilva I don't speak portuguees, but luckily Google does ':) Im glad you enjoyed the creatures and the gameplay!!
