I really like the graphics and the idea with trading cells. But unfortunately the dhop didn't work for me. I got enough cells but couldn't spend them on Upgrades, maybe fix this while Rating is open, so that every aspect of the game can be rated. Nice work tho!

@remusnomos Glad you liked it :). The shop works for me but you got to have enough cells, because it wont let you go below 40(added that to the help menu).

The graphics is really good! You even got an intro! I don't like the "darken" effect though, make it so hard to see the traps.
Also the shop doesn't seem to work...
The graphics and atmosphere were great! Dodging enemies, not so much, but everything else was fine! I loved the slimes animation. He looks so wobbly!
Did not expect the wall jumping/sliding! Nicely done!

@snowtv @flashviper @jayometric Thanks, great that you all liked it!
@snowtv Did you read my previous post? You probably didnt have enough life cells. The light cells would have helped ;).
@flashviper Yeah the enemies are sadly quite unfinished...

I like the atmosphere in this game. Pretty spooky, although it was maybe too dark and hard to see. Controls felt pretty good until I got to the wall that required wall jumps. I just couldn't get it to work. Maybe I'm losing hand-eye coordination in my old age. Not sure. Also, the opening cut scenes went by too fast. I barely had time to read them before the next screen popped up.

This is a solid entry on all categories. I have just a few notes. I felt that the initial light was a bit too weak, and I managed to finish the game only when I reached the first vendor with enough cells to buy like 4 levels of light. Also the fact that you need to have at least 40 cells to buy something is a bit limiting. Also on the main menu I couldn't see the help button at first so I didn't even know that I could attack..maybe my display is too dark? Anyway I liked your game very much, great job!
PS: loved the graffiti

Cool little game. I loved the upgrade mechanic, and all the graffiti on the walls. The sound and art design are both good as well! The only thing I would have liked is either and upgrade to jumping, or make the platforming a little easier, it at least felt like I needed almost pixel perfect jumps
Well done!
This game has one of the nicer menus that I have seen this Ludum dare. It's cool to see some attention being put into a unique main menu instead of just simple buttons on boring backgrounds. It's sort of an overlooked part of games in LD. Well done <3
Beautifull graphics! I just think that the wall jumps are not "right". Anyway one of the best entries I played so far. Good job!

It has a Night in the Woods Reference, interesting lighting (or lack thereof), and zombies! :D 10/10
Absolutely delightful! The graphics are beautiful and I'm so impressed you managed to get it all done, plus an intro in just 3 days. The music was very atmospheric and went with the dark, dank setting very nicely. And the slimes were just adorable. I loved the idea of trading life cells for advanced skills but sadly the shop didn't work for me. I had over 40 life cells but just couldn't choose anything off the trade menu (though there's no instruction on how to pick so I tried lots of keys but nothing worked, could you tell me what I should be pressing?). Also I don't know how you get more life cells to trade with. I really like the way the slime shrinks as it takes damage and slowly slides down walls. Fantastic entry.

@sbeif @jharler @raphiell @langotriel @paulo-brunassi @nitw-fan @beastiebeastie Thanks a lot for all the nice feedback!
@jharler @sbeif I will probably add a brightness option very soon ;).
@beastiebeastie Makes me really happy to see you liking it that much! By the way, which version did you use? Because I never had problems with the shop on Linux or Windows. More life cells come from eating glowing mushrooms, just added that to the help menu.
I like the style of this game. Controls felt fluid, but like mentioned by a few others the wall jumps were pretty difficult to pull off. Very nice menu and general art direction. Well done
I liked it! The graphics were really nice, and it had a good atmosphere. For some reason, though the shops stopped working past the first one - though it looks like other people were having that issue as well

The game was a tad bit confusing, but the art and sound design was top notch, and you totally nailed the theme here. Generally a really good game, but sways too far on the side of leaving the player in the dark on what to do or whats going on. Also really loved the wall jump mechanic, it is very well done and is honestly one of my favorite mechanics of the game.
You had lots of drawings on the walls, maybe you could have made the help menu obsolete by drawing the instructions on them. I missed a bit feedback to the player (e.g. that my attacks really do deal damage) and the behaviour on walls (clinging and jumping) was sometimes a bit wonky.
My comment seems so negative, but I actually enjoyed the game ^^ I see how this has really great potential and hope to see a game from you at the next Ludum dare :)
edit: btw. congrats on the 20+ received raitings :)

Like the other people said: great graphics (although on my monitor also very dark, I didn't see the menu at first), the blobs are good, movement great. A bit hard for a Ludum Dare entry. Two player coop you don't see that much. I haven't tried it, but great that it's there. Already a pretty good game, I can imagine seeing it released after the compo.
Like others have mentioned, the graphics in the game are pretty darn good. Im not much of a fan of platformers myself, but the controls felt good and fine. Good job
Great submission. The graphics are excellent. The audio is really quite good too. The intro is a little quick, was hard to read, maybe a click to proceed would be better? The wall jumping was just a touch finicky, but quite good considering that it was a game jam. I found the switching between slimes to be a little odd, not sure if there was a point to it later on, I lost one of them early. It would be better if the camera re-centered on each slime as you switched to it. Unless that was a deliberate design choice? I am not a big fan of platformers so it's hard for me to judge the fun of it, but I'll rate it pretty good there as it seems solid.

I really liked the game! It was a little hard for me but I really enjoyed. Jumping from a wall to another wall is so challenging!
@gecco-xyz The idea to put the instructions as paintings on the walls is awesome, i think it will be used in one of the next games :: D
@archimagus Yes, a click to continue would have been better, i agree. The only reason we did it as a video was because we were running out of time (again) But also i could have made the video a bit slower.
Thanks for your feedback everyone!

Great graphics! The initial intro was a bit too fast for reading (especially since it had a wonky font)
I am usually not that good at platformers, but this one was fun - but I could not progress that far.
Gameplay wise would love to have add to my health somehow, or have an 'easy' mode.
Well done!
