I like the art style. It's simple, but still looks great. Pretty cool game overall. I definitely like the idea of adding more apps to the phone.

I like the art style. It's simple, but still looks great. Pretty cool game overall. I definitely like the idea of adding more apps to the phone.
Amazing concept. Monster gave me a huge fright the second time it appeared. Really liked the graphics with the pixel art and the lighting. Very scary! Thanks for the game
The art was good and the monster freaked me out the first time. I was struggling to get my guy to hide though by clicking any of the options (S or Down arrows) which made it challenging to play.
Awesome atmosphere. Not replenishing the phone's battery after being killed is kinda mean. :p I didn't find how to pass the second level monster...
I love the atmosphere, even though the monster is simple it still seemed very threatening, the audio is great. I found it a bit confusing, wasn't sure what the relevance of the blue eyes was. Also I'm not sure how I made it past the monster the second time, I just waited for him to go past me twice and then he disappeared I think? It seems in need of more work but definitely has potential, nice work overall!
Great idea. I actually like the monster design as it is right now. I nearly jumped the first time one appeared.
The graphics are really good and the atmosphere is awesome. The gameplay feels pretty clunky though. The player doesn't feel very smooth to control, the jump is extremely heavy and the mapping is weird. Down to hide and down to come out of hiding for example. Or using the mouse for the phone.
There's also a few bugs like pressing a button multiple times on the intro screen will make the fading go awry.
Overall I did like it a lot. A bit more polish regarding the controls and you'll have something very good here.
I like the idea and the mood but I have some trouble playing it. I seem the move so slow I barely even notice it (html version)
I really liked the art! The first monster gave me a real good jump! Something else I liked was that when you wake up your phone does not have 100% battery; made it feel very real for me. I agree with @rigdonware it was hard for me to hide not sure if I was doing something wrong (I as well tried S and down arrow). Still it looked good and was fun I would love to see you expand on this idea and add some apps/ maybe removable batteries on the floor to give you a little extra boost!
Really a good game, not a lot to say, this is really cruel not to regen battery when you die.
Cool game ! A little bit hard to get but the art style is really neat !
Good job !
Nice art!
Really like the concept, and the mood was great for such a quick horror game. Would like if it was easier to show/dismiss the phone than clicking on a specific border, though - perhaps right click should bring up/put way the phone? I think it would be good to have a simple way like this since visibility is pretty important in order to spot monsters or hiding spots ahead of you.
The light didn't seem to do much aside from let you see background details, so I ended up playing most of the game without the flashlight. I suppose this is a good place to work on the actual uses of light if you continue developing the game.
Speaking of, I really think you should! This has some great makings for a 2d horror game. As you said, adding other apps for story purposes or other mechanics is definitely a possibility. There's lot of room for exploration with this concept, I think. Great work!
Holy crap, a Werewolf!
Pros: - I love werewolves - couldn't ask for chunkier pixels at all - nice idea with the lighting - cool death sequence
Challenges: - a bit tricky to play, really. Hiding from the eyes doesn't really work reliably...?
Still, most fun and most pixelated way to get eaten by a werewolf!
The base concept for this game is really nice and the execution is also really great! I do like the blocky look and the pixelart style, and the lighting and sounds do help create a mood for the game.
I do agree that adding more apps, notifications and sound-related stuff could add to the challenge and difficulty! :P The current state is kinda simple and easy to get by the stages.
Control-wise, it played really well, and having to manage walking, handling the phone and hiding is nice too! :D
Good job there! ;)
Perhaps I simply don't understand the horror genre, but I fail to see how I'm supposed to be able to play this game in one try. It seems like the only way to get through is to memorize when and where the monsters are, and that kind of takes away most of the tension for me, as then the monsters don't present any threat once you have learned all of their positions.
The sound effect for the monster is pretty cool.
I'm not sure if it was intended or not, but the character moved incredibly slow when I was pressing right. I love the mood you had set here and the graphics were fitting. The monster is definitely disturbing, so good work there too. Overall, nice entry!
Lovely atmosphere, and the creepy monster and death animation is nice too even if it's placeholder. The lighting was good and hiding felt natural. The phone was pretty cool to use too and would have been much cooler if it had mroe use than for turning the torch off. Solid entry!
