Simple graphics and animation, but it has good mood :) I think idea is original and fits into theme :)

It's an interesting take on the theme, even if the concept is a bit cliché (especially with interactive adventure like theses). There is a lot of idea and concept that deserve to be better explored, I like the graphics and sound design, but the control are a bit too rigid for a plateformer. Maybe remove all the plateformer elements for a full narrative experience ? Or improve the controls and put more visual narrative elements instead of text ? I don't know, but good job anyway !
Had a lot of fun with the arcade elements of the game. Some gameplay mechanics (like the yellow stuff on the ground) were not immidiately clear to me. Also I found myself searching for some ingame menu (settings or help) and by pressing "ESC" I just closed the entire game, which was a bit frustrating. The mood was very good and your game fits the theme very well.
I like it ♥
Nice original concept and love the style and mood. Like the other comment some mechanics weren't super clear but still love the feel and style.

I enjoyed "Pilgrim". I think it suffers in the same way my LD38 game suffers: the movement speed is too slow.
Overall, it felt like a generic (slow) platformer, but it does benefit by providing a dark mood pretty successfully (thanks to the graphics and dialog). Also, I found myself grooving out to some of the tunes; nicely done on the music.
I would have liked to see a more polished walk animation. Some dialog notes seemed to be impossible to reach, but maybe they relied on perfect jumps. Despite the rigid platforming, the levels were designed in a well-paced manner. However, the "bullet hell" portion seemed out of place to me. I can't really say I took away anything special out of that portion, so I'd say "Pilgrim" could do better off without it. Personally, I would have opted for smoother platforming mechanics as opposed to a light smattering of a couple genres.
All in all, "Pilgrim" is a nice piece of art and I would love to see it polished up.
Liked it a lot, especially the music. Kind of a similar idea/theme interpretation to mine! The "fear" section, with hiding in bushes, was a bit frustrating. Thought I had the timing down well, but the parts where you can't see the eye are a bit unforgiving. One of my favorites so far, though!
I was really liking this until it got to anger, wish it was shorter and not as difficult. It was a very sharp contrast to the start which had me hooked. Looks great and love the story, though!
Nice and interesting story. I was able to stuck on one of the platforms somehow, but the rest works fine. The 'memories' yellow eye looks like an active element on a platform (not the background), but only for the first time, then I noticed the whole 'monster'.
Thank you!
Nice presentation but a little slow to control. I would have been just as happy walking around enjoying the story in your moody world over platforming. Keep working in this visual style, it looks cool.
The pixel art is simple but moody. I had some problems with the arcade bullet-hell sections, but that's just me, I guess. The controls during the platforming sections feel a little slow (which may have been deliberate to support the mood?).
Overall, an interesting entry. Keep it up!
nice one :)
The "Mind World" idea is very intresting. Graphics and music fits the mood well, really liked it!
Good job! This is probably the first game that I have played that actually deserved a "mood" rating. Hope to see more stuff from your itch.io
I'm not have Windows but game looks great. Good job!
