I liked the visuals, especially the tentacles of the projectile cell.
However, the movement feels sluggish, I can't dodge anything because it reacts so slowly. Also I'd have liked some visual feedback of my attack, the way it is now I just kept clicking without knowing if I even was dealing damage...

Very nice little game. I may be just noob, but I found it kind of hard to dodge enemies and move, but I guess that is good, that it is challenging. The mood was great, nice music selection and the background is awesome. I like the sprites (mostly those red cells, they looked demonic, haha). Overall, relaxing and enjoyable game :)
A nice game. I was sometimes not sure if I got hit. Maybe always showing the P menu in the corner would resolve that?
Overall, well done! :)

Neat game! Gets a little repetitive, but has an interesting and unique concept! I liked the music, it was very atmospheric. You guys did a good job, I can't wait to see what you make next Ludum Dare! :)
Good job, especially for the sprites. The music has its role on the ambiance too. The idea of gameplay is good but maybe you can explain more, for example when I bought the weapon it was not clear how to use it.
Great idea for a game with a back-story to boot however, as others have mentioned there is a lack of feedback. I wasn't sure when I was dealing damage and when I was losing health. I managed to "purchase" the weapon (E) and the health (W) but I wasn't really sure if it made any difference? Perhaps you didn't manage to get that in there? I'm also not sure the music fits the mood of the game - it's perhaps a little too "relaxing" rather than "Mankind is doomed! We're all going to die if you don't solve this problem!" :grinning:

Thanks for the feedback guys, il get to play your games soon but for now let me answer some questions. First off the upgrade system just gives you passive buffs, the eye one increases your visible range(zooms the camera out a bit), the health one increases your health by a certain ammount and the damage one gives a passive bonus to your damage. I have taken into account that the interface is horrible and i could have done a better job on displaying that you are damaged and when you are dealing damage. Oh and i would like to know if i am opted out of the sound category since we did not do that, again thank you so much for the feedback and i will make sure to make a better game in the next ludum dare.

Not bad, reminds me of Spore a little bit. The controls felt a big slow but it was still fun for a while. I think a lot of these kinds of games really need some damage sound effects or visual cues so it's more obvious I'm doing something.
The graphics were nice with nice character designs. I liked the backstory too. Nice first team effort.

Very basic but interesting upgrading system, but maybe there should be some not-so-relaxing bgm? By the way, I thought the "projectile" were little fishes, and collected a LOT of them... Well, I should have read the introductions, my bad. Overall, nice entry, well done!

Good job. It reminds me of Spore a lot!

I was instantly reminded of Spore too. More feedback when you get hit (and maybe mercy timer after getting hit?), clearer rules for progression (Leveling does anything except increasing max HP? How much I need to eat to level up?), more upgrades (and maybe current ones could have several stages, right now it's very easy to quickly buy everything and then there's no real reason to push further), and it can turn pretty cool.
Nice game. Didn't know when I took damaged so I got suprised when I die. I quickly ran to all the upgrades expecting more but no. Could you take my feedback into consideration next time you make a game?
Good job!

Some type of health bar would be really helpful, so that I know what damages and what heals me. Also some visual and sound effects when eating/killing something and taking damage would greatly improve it.
I think that there are too many projectile cells. The rest is great
