I have not played the original game but your game feels very polished and was a lot of fun. As you said in the description this game is insanely hard. I didn't manage to get better than 12 seconds.
Quite addictive, I will come back later to try again. The scoreboard is a nice touch as well.

Since the game is the same everytime i think it really gives that geometry dash vibe where one can get better with each attempt. |Not me though, I am just not good at it! Awesome game!

Nice aesthetics, and I totally forgot that there were leaderboards even in pc games  Nostalgic.
Always good to see some procedural art!
Very pleasing game to play, I got better with little practice! The scoreboard kept me from giving up. Your take on the theme is pretty cool too. Great job on making a fantastically optimized game.

Love super hexagon so hard not to love this. Congrats on a mostly faithful recreation, although The interpretation of the theme is a stretch :) Thanks for the twist by not letting us brush up against the sides and survive.
Really liked the music and the feel of the game. Great work !

I've played the original game, so I don't see the point for players like me to play your game, only for comparison i guess :s. It's technically good, even though i would like more contrast on the stripes.
Nice graphics and sounds, impressive for a jam game, particularly the way it has been coded! Could have been more in the theme though.
Awesome work ! Music is trippy, visual are hypnotic ! Not in the theme for me but awesome game ! Love that ! Bravo !

Fun to play, great idea ! I had a good time
Definitely a Super Hexagon clone, and a well-made one at that. The game's slower pace and lack of some interface screw elements present in SH make it a more comprehensible one, albeit still difficult due to the larger hitbox and less forgiving walls. All-in-all a good experience.
EDIT: I noticed that even after the game is closed, the process still exists according to Task Manager.
I don't really see it fitting the theme. That being said, it's an amazing and fun game. I love the music!
Having played a TON of super hexagon, this was really nice to see. You managed to capture the atmosphere of Super Hexagon really well. The visual effects in particular are really good. There are a lot of minor details that are a little less polished than the original game, like the transitions between polygons being rougher, less leniency on the hit detection near edges, and not being able to push into the sides of rings. The polygon transitions can sometimes just kill you and there's nothing you can do about it. All that aside though, this is really neat. I'm gonna keep playing 'till I get the #1 spot on the leaderboard :P
Really fun and challenging, and I like that you managed to put a highscore list in as well. I feel like it would be easier if I could use the mouse to move.
Really interesting interpretation of the theme. Awesome to see a completely procedurally generated game.
But man, I'm so bad at Super Hexagon.
Really elegant and original , well done

I haven't played the original, but I really like this game! It's simple and polished and I'm a sucker for rythm games. I just find that, for me, it doesn't really fit the theme at all, even with the explanation. Also I feel like it gets too hard too fast, it doesn't give the player enough time to get used to the controls before it starts getting real. I really liked to know about the way you coded this. It's very impressive! I had a lot of fun with your game. :) Good job!
This is great, good job! :)
This is a really well made, nearly perfect implementation of Super Hexagon. It plays and performs almost exactly like the original and has some really good music attached to it, although I'm not sure where the theme fits in. It's a shame that you are punished for touching the sides of the walls, something the original doesn't do.

I am a huge Super Hexagon fan, and this is a great clone! It _almost_ felt like the original, but the walls were a little tighter and unforgiving. It made the getting past the 18 mark on the scoring a little tough at first. I really liked this.
super fun -- super hard -- cannot believe someone hacked you -- sad -- thanks for making this awesome game
Very addictive game. Music and sound effects match the game. And congratulations for having managed to create a ranking in the deadline of the jam.
Nice super-hexagon clone.

I've never played super-hexagon but this is fun! I's simple, solid and addictive! Well.. great job!
I was a bit surprised when the collision could effect the side of the triangle, I guess I was too used to Super Hexagon not having that. Great game overall, nice work!

Great and addictive game. Nice take on the theme! Amazing amount of polish. Keep up the great work!

Since I played the original Super Hexagon for over 30 hours, I absolutely love your game! It's more difficult because you are not allowed to touch the obstacles __at all__ and the shape shifting is pretty hard to handle. I'd say the music is a bit too soft, especially the beatthat is responsible for the "pulse-like" effect of the hexagon.
Your interpretation of the theme is very innovative and interesting! Although you have to explain your interpretation of the theme since the game itself couldn't. Great job
As someone who has played Super Hexagon (a lot), I was immediately drawn to this. I really enjoyed it, however as @sn4pi said, it was incredibly hard without being able to even touch the sides of the obstacles. The music was fantastic imo, and I was very impressed with the leaderboard. Did you implement the leaderboard backend as well, with a personal server? Or was it hosted for you? I am very curious because I am keen to try this for my next game jam. Well done, keep up the great work. :D

Cool entry:) The main menu could use some refinements, and I'm not sure how this relates to the theme, but it's very fluid and pleasing to play:)
A great game! I love how scripted patterns allow to refine one's skills and slowly get better at the game - given one is patient enough, that is!
The only thing I wish was different would've been some kind of forcing player to be in correct spot during polygon transitions, but that still doesn't stop me from trying to beat my current PB for a few attempts every now and then.

When I saw the thumbnail, I already knew my teammate would be up there in the leaderboards. Couldn't let that stand, of course. Very, very solid clone, it scratches the itch the very same way the original does. Like my bud I too would criticize the horizontal hitbox of the bars though, it creates a need for precision that can only be reached if you could use your own sensitivity, but that's a small speck on an otherwise fantastic entry!

Great Entry, I have always been a fan of Super Hexagon. As already said, the horizontal hitboxes makes it way harder. Good Job!
Nice work! too bad I suck at hexagone!
I found this to be a simple but effective game, and an original interpretation of the theme! From your description, the way you've implemented this is very clever and refined indeed! Also, the inclusion of a live leaderboard is a great added touch!
Clone or not, it is so ridiculously cool what you were able to accomplish here! As an engineer, I absolutely respect the amount of work that went into making something like this. The fact that it turned out this polished and fun to play is just amazing.
I've never played the original Super Hexagon. I know that it can be a brutally difficult game, but I wonder if it's as unforgiving as this one? I felt like I had to be *super* precise in some sections, and almost anticipate what was happening next left I be punished with death.
Still, that didn't stop me from attempting *multiple* times, because the restart time was the perfect length for me to want to try again, and again, and again.
Awesome job here! I appreciate you going out of your way to have an original take on the theme, as well. :)
So difficult, I wish I was better at this game (and that's why I love it!). This begs to be mastered and the game play is smooth and satisfying, like a fine whiskey. I think the most impressive part was the audio management! The cut out on failure and reopening on restart was butter and kept me plugged in. Great graphics and atmosphere as well. I respect your attempt to lean out of the obvious theme and create something more unique! Themes aren't always great and we have to find ways to make the best of it and I think you accomplished that.
Good game! Maybe doesn't fit well with the theme, but the gameplay is great and fast-paced! Keep making games!! :fist:
It is nice to see someone taking on a technical challenge. I am also a big fan of Coroutines/Lazy Functions/C# Enumerables. ^_^
I tried to use the speedup and slow down, the lines on the battery looking thing changed, but I didn't notice any difference in the game. The music kept going so it seemed like it got out of sync with the game, or maybe it never was synchronized (I feel like it was in Super Hexagon, but I don't remember). It took a while to get back to the place where I died (which could be the cost of dying I guess) so it was difficult to get better at. Overall great job.

Very cool little game in the same vain as Hexagon.
The technical aspect of it was spot on. Music worked great and graphics were well suited for a game like this. It was pretty fun for the short while it lasted. In the compo version the difficulty spiked pretty hard on the 180 turns but the post-compo version was much more gentle in that regard. So improvements were definitely there.
I have to commend you on making a score board for your game. It always makes the game that much interesting when you can compete with others.
Overall a very solid entry to the jam! Nice work!

Cool game! I loved the audio and the minimalist graphics that perfectly match and complement the game's vibe. It's definitely the kind of game that challenges you, making you spend hours trying to climb the rankings. It's a solid work, the game is well optimized. Congrats on the work, the result is incredible, especially when I remember this was done on a jam. Great job!
Evaluation...
1 - Mechanics and Learning: It took a while for me to understand how to play, I had to die several times, go back to the page to see the example video; hence I understood that there would be inputs (if I had tested the standard computer inputs as soon as I would have understood). Something that could make it easier for beginners would be to have something explaining on the home screen (something that could be disabled if the player did not want to see it anymore). The mechanics are challenging and interesting.
2 - Flow: Once I learned to play, I got used to the subtlety needed to move the character (maybe my keyboard is very sensitive, or maybe the idea is to take advantage of that in mechanics, to the example of the part that requires a whole twist to escape) . The game is challenging (at least for me).
3 - Narrative and Polishment: In the game I can not find narrative (on the publication page this is justified in some way). I think games in this style rarely have narrative (gender game question itself). Graphic art has its own identity, so there is not much to say. The game gets stuck in the mind for a while even after I finish (this happened to me with games like Candy Crush, Sudoku and others). The song was good for jam time.
4 - Culture: I think (given a history of games with different mechanics) the game may list as one more of that list; gradually attracting a community of players. If you have Facebook page that accompanies your games, just leave the link. The use of ranking also greatly favors the development of a community around the products of the producer.
5 - Monetization: If the game gets less difficult, maybe it can sell to smartphones (with proper mechanical polishment); I believe that it would sell at a cheap price or (if the community is large) through advertisements.
Winners can claim their gift :)
