Love super hexagon so hard not to love this. Congrats on a mostly faithful recreation, although The interpretation of the theme is a stretch :) Thanks for the twist by not letting us brush up against the sides and survive.

Cool music and mood. Unfortunately I'm not sure what I was doing -- at a certain point I stopped growing and I'm not sure if it was because I was doing something wrong. But very pretty!

Blood Quest by shaner421 2019-04-30T07:13:23Z

A little sad that when I picked up the stick, I got hurt. I thought I would be penalized for USING the stick, not just for having a friend.

The Boxer's Pact: Fausts of Fury by ScalphaMission 2019-04-30T06:19:04Z

The graphics during the fight were really cool for a jam game. I think that maybe it'd be best to go lighter on the text and menus prior to the first fight -- I felt like I had made several bad decisions prior to throwing any punches.

Digged the falling stars as graphics and the music. Kept getting nailed by that big rolling Tums.

@pierallard thanks in particular for the note about the Unity WebGL embed being too small. I'll research how to make it bigger for the next one!

Also totally agree about making the pan animation skippable, and having a gentler learning curve.

@saering don't sweat it, that's not a hard or overly critical comment. We haven't been "told" anything, we've just been critical of our own game, in many of the ways that you mentioned! I think you have a good eye for game design/difficulty curving/introducing mechanics. Specifically better in-game explanation of mechanics is where we would have focused if we had another day (or even another couple hours). I think I'm particularly bad at keeping an intuitive difficulty curve inside of game jams -- it's less of a problem with less time constraints, but it needs to be addressed nonetheless, no excuses! Thanks for the wonderful comment!

I think the concept was really cool on paper. I did a few runs and did not really see how I was supposed to maintain snow. It felt like I was doomed, rolling down a tropical hill slowly :(

I got to Wave 7 before stopping since I couldn't find the enemies. Music was cool, gave me military vibes. Art was great except the lasrs! I think some more depth of field in the stars would've been nice.

I wish there was some way to recover health once you get very low. I felt like I played well for a long time before quitting, but it forced me to play more cautiously than I would've liked.

Amazing artwork for a jam game!

SLIME escape by juba 2019-04-30T07:29:43Z

Great job for a first jam entry. Consider not letting the user pick a choice that will kill them (unless it makes sense thematically, like in Nier).
