Great job for a first jam entry. Consider not letting the user pick a choice that will kill them (unless it makes sense thematically, like in Nier).

Very nice entry! I liked upgrade path and level design. Some UX could be improved though, for example no indication in the evolve menu that upgrade happened. But that's minor. Good work!
