Fun little game, took me a while to dominate the MARKET, the sell/buy mechanic is pretty fast paced.

Nice one, Wojciech! This was a pretty inventive genre mashup. One of the more unique LD44 entries that I've had the chance to play so far, and that's definitely a good thing!

I like the name, I wonder what is was based off :)

andreadbx 2019-05-01 12:02

Simple and effective game, the bitcoin sprite was better recreating it in illustrator because now when it's very zoomed you can see that has some errors in the border, the mechanic is intresting altough certain times you just crash and even if you spam buy you cannot avoid it, congrats!

Well, this is a fun way to become a BCoin millionare!

Loved the rolling coin and the graph in the background!

raphiell 2019-05-01 12:06

Very unique game, and fun to figure out. After a certain point I was just able to mash the up and down arrows to get infinite height. The graph was nice. Capture.PNG Only suggestion I would have is a sound that gets higher as you fly higher.

Well done!

HAHA! I love the use of theme in these! Good luck!

Thanks to all of you for feedback! I really underestimate how good you can be in this game. So once you worked out the algorithm sky is the limit (or maximum size of c# data type.. read below)

@geertsen You got so much money that it exceed the maximum size of data type I was using to store the score. The market was not ready for such millionaire. Congratulations!

good game  had fun playing it

A super simple, but also a really fun game. One of the best I have played this LD. Well done.

Surprisingly fun to play! So simple, yet really cool! The only problem I have is that it gets repetitive quite fast. After a minute of playing you've basically done all there is in the game. Maybe some random events could trigger? For example news that a big investor has decided to invest in BCoins (which would increase the value) or negative cryptocurrency press coverage (which would lower the value). That way the price wouldn't only be dependent on you. But that would of course take some time to implement, and it was just a weekend jam. I think you did a great job, and I wish you good luck in future game jams as well! :)

This game is funny. From the description I expected a strategic buying and selling game, but it's really more like a "flying game" where you have to avoid touching the ground while climbing as high as possible. I liked that the BCoin gets extremely big and covers the whole screen. It seemed a bit too easy to just survive forever and keep getting more money.

kack3y 2019-05-07 15:31

A kind of flappy bcoin ^^ very funny idea I liked it but didn't play for a long time, I think it's virtually possible (and not very difficult) to never loose :/ and the sound effects were giving me headache :p

Hope you enjoyed this LD ;)

Funny game, took me a bit of time to get that I had to press the button each time I wanted to buy bitcoin ( I know right, I don't know why I first thought I could just wait with the button pressed). Once I understood that, I had a good time even tough the bitcoin in the center of the screen just takes too much space and the graph doesn't even display the current price if it's falling too quickly so it makes the game a bit harder to play. Still got to ~570 000 though. Nice work !

Talking of that, in Bitcoin's case, though, the information on the blockchain is mostly transactions. Versatility has caught the eye of governments and private corporations; indeed, some analysts believe that blockchain technology will ultimately be the most impactful aspect of the cryptocurrency craze. The basics of blockchain technology are mercifully straightforward. Any given blockchain consists of a single chain of discrete blocks of information, arranged chronologically. In principle this information can be any string of 1s and 0s, meaning it could include emails, contracts, land titles, marriage certificates, or bond trades. In theory, any type of contract between two parties can be established on a blockchain as long as both parties agree on the contract. This takes away any need for a third party to be involved in any contract. This opens a world of possibilities including peer-to-peer financial products, like loans or decentralized savings and checking accounts, where banks or any intermediary is irrelevant. While Bitcoin's current goal is a store of value as well as a payment system, there is nothing to say that Bitcoin could not be used in such a way in the future, though consensus would need to be reached to add these systems to Bitcoin. The main goal of the Ethereum project is to have a platform where these "smart contracts" can occur, therefore creating a whole realm of decentralized financial products without any middlemen and the fees and potential data breaches that come along with them.

Kerdelos, that's pretty awesome, that we have such websites and informative resources, which give us all the needed informative about crypto processes, and explain how to earn extra money in the short periods of time. You can take a look at this [swap token](https://www.nbloglinks.com/crypto-swap-profits-mastermind/) article, to understand some basics of how you can easily exchange any crypto currency for another without leaving your wallet.

That's a fun game, I really enjoyed playing it. You did a great job developing it, and the idea is interesting, but I prefer the real win in the end, so I use different auto-trading applications like this one https://bitqs.org/ to actually earn money. This platform is really good for beginners too, so I recommend checking it out.

Wow, what a realistic and interesting simulator, I'm just stuck! I have been interested in cryptocurrency for a long time, I still do not risk entering the real market, but thanks to https://www.comprarebitcoin.com/bonus-bitcoin/ I have gained some confidence in this electronic currency and I think that I will soon buy my first bitcoin.

What about cryptocurrency mining? Is it generally possible for an ordinary person to do it, or is it absolutely necessary to have a huge and very powerful computer?

2021-12-29 16:44

To be honest, I'm not very good at mining. I'm sure that you can find a lot of accessible and understandable information on the Internet. See, for example, in this article everything seems to be quite simply written https://changelly.com/blog/ethereum-mining/ . See also other articles in this blog, I often read it when I want to understand some issue in more detail.

I am still poorly versed in this matter. However, some of my friends are quite good at making money on cryptocurrency. Someone recently suggested I read a [crypto signals](https://www.napbots.com/guide/crypto-signals) article. He was talking. that he found in this article all the necessary information to understand what cryptocurrency is and how to make money on it.

Today, you can expend cryptocurrencies offline as well as online. In other words, you are no longer required to be concerned about the many stores that do not take cryptocurrency. Basically, [bitcoin crypto card](https://cryptowallet.com/card/) make all of this feasible. This approach can be applied continuously or just when there is no Internet connection.
