Realy cool light effects
I love the lighting effects and the music. Fun, but the room quickly fills up completely with goblins.
Thanks for playing! That's true. Maybe I should remove the goblins if they collide with the player. Then, you will die quicker and it avoids the room to be filled up completely. :)
I tryied to make the game run, what is necesary for it? Oracle?
Lighting effect is great. While I was playing with these light sources I suddenly realized the number of goblins had gone crazy and I was finally overwhelm by goblins, which was interesting XD
Hi @rakowu ! You need java 8 or higher to be installed on your PC. You should be able to just double click and it should run. Alternatively you can open a Command Prompt in the folder where the .jar file is and type: "java -jar LD46.jar" It doesn't run on Mac at the moment because of GLFW, and I didn't test on Linux either. If you still have problems to run it, drop me a message.
Ok did it. Great :o i love the shadows and the music. At the beginning i thought "easy to win" but after a while it becomes hardcore xD.... Ah and the game over effekt is also nice :D
.jar repreSENT! And look at that beautiful raycasting! I also experimented with raycasting (slightly) for the first time with my game, always cool to see.
Movement and shooting felt very snappy, and the game difficulty REALLY ramped up at the end there, holy cow. The sound design was subtle but pleasant, working well in service to the soft lighting. Overall a very nice submission!
The horde is comming!!!
63 points, I guess that's nice. Had some glitches with the graphics from time to time, but otherwise looked good! Shooting felt ok, it got kinda intense at the end when the hordes are just spawning spawning spawning! :D
Woah! These lights are great. Lovely game to play - kudos!
Basically a tech demo of the cool lighting - and it works very well as that. Fighting the goblins is fun too, though!
Love the lightin!
Even though the game told me not to... I touched a goblin.
Maybe more than one. In fact, I got so surrounded by them I had to wedge myself in a corner and rapid-fire to keep them off me ;) The controls worked nicely, and the lighting was really cool. Not a lot of depth to the game, but I liked that it offered a definitive chunk of gameplay and rewarded me with an ending and a score.
Nice work for a short jam!
Score: 62. I just wasn't abled to beat nizlow. I think everybody gets a score around 60, because that is the point at which it gets really hard. Maybe it would help if the room would be a litle bit larger, so you can choose if you want to fight more or less and to make the game more difficult over time maybe let the hp decrease faster (only suggestions). But as already said by many persons: Amazing graphics, really cool lightning and good controls. A really nice game!
The mood of the game is great! The lighting works really well with the music and sounds to create a really nice atmosphere. The gameplay is simple but that doesn't stop it from being fun. It took me a while to understand that I need to take the goblin drops as hp, but afterwards, it was really nice! Awesome work!
Oh it's a very lovely game indeed! The lighting is very cool looking. It starts so calming, but in a few seconds it's a mayhem, which is a nice twist) So, it's 63.
The lightning was really good looking. The music was good and it fit. It's a small game but it's still pretty interesting. Maybe you should have added a delay on how often you can shoot because otherwise players can just jitter click and that's pretty OP. Still a good game for 48 hours, good job!
