nice job !

The tutorial is good, and helps learn the game without reading lots of text. Gameplay is interesting and sometimes solving the problems is fun, but sometimes i just don't understand what i'm supposed to do. Graphics and sound are nice though

Really good game! I had to retry several times in order to beat it, but I made it! The concept of hypnotizing the villagers is interesting, and the fact that they see something weird going on and go and check is cool. The only thing I didn't find added something to the game is the bat form, which I didn't use at all, because it drained too much life too fast. Thanks for this game!

I liked that I didn't have to read a wall of words to figure out what to do. Most games (mine included) go that route, so good job on that!

afroant 2019-04-30 21:36

Thanks for the comments, everyone!

@matthew-mcclure We needed to save some words for the title.

nice idea liked the gameplay with the hiding in the shadow and eating people part :) music is fitting well

Really cool take in a vampire game! Didn't read the controls on the page at start so I didn't know you could turn into a bat in the middle of playing but as the game made more sense, the luring + trying not to be caught mechanic became really fun! The mirror not reflecting is a nice touch.

shulololo 2019-05-01 05:27

This game is pretty cool! I really like the 2.5D visuals that was going on in the game. I was caught off guard with the mirrors when I was traversing through the game during one my playthrough of the game. I also like the stealth aspect of the game as well, it made the game more challenging. Great job!

A little frustrating to figure out get and used to at first, but very satisfying to succeed! It took me a little while but it became much funner after I figured it took into account the directions they were facing. Love the title and atmosphere. Didn't expect the 2.5d which was a nice touch. I found patience was the key to winning :)

- the shadows being models looked a bit funky because of the perspective. - I really enjoyed the audio of this game. I think it contributed well with the theme to create an appropriate mood. - I wasn't sure how to deal with groups of people that were spread out.

josefnpat 2019-05-02 05:21

What a neat game. I really liked all the things I could naturally learn while playing - a lot of great UX feedback. Nice job!

I wish that the new dangers would have been spread out more so I'd have a chance to learn them all, and deal with them one at a time before having to deal with all of them at once. Nice job!

Cool graphics - the shadows looked odd with the art style you chose... Not many people can do a good job of the 2.5D graphics, but this managed to pull it of! The stealth aspect is a cool touch.

I'm all for vampire themed stealth games. Graphics, while simplistic, work perfectly for this style(I really liked the parallax background effects you did). Music also fit perfectly with the game. Loved the death sound effects as well.

Great Game. Check my game also .. 5/5

octopoid 2019-05-02 14:38

Nice work! Some interesting ideas in here, I liked the use of the alley for stealth mechanics. I did find it tricky once I got to the daytime section, there were so many villagers about and it was difficult to consume one without alerting all the others. I enjoyed my time with this one, great job!

Good job. Perfect game nice art, nice mechanics, very interesting way to fit the theme GOOD JOB :)

oakus 2019-05-03 15:59

Lots of mechanics offer different approaches to overcome the obstacle which I really like. The sounds and music are quite fitting. The 3D visuals were simple but fitting apart from those unfortunate shady alleys, those could use some soft custom shader. Overall the theme is well executed with this one, great job!

hugimugi7 2019-05-03 16:38

Interesting design!

douglima 2019-05-03 19:25

Wow I'm impressed, the design is very solid. The game is fun and the execution is consistent. Very good entry!

michael-feldman 2019-05-03 23:16

Like what others have said the learning curve is harsh, but once you get it, you really feel that stealth ninja effect. Very impressive to hit that genre during a jam. Quite inspiring. Appreciate your alls work.

greendinogames 2019-05-03 23:50

I like the gameplay, and the ability to turn into a bat :D It's a little bit hard when multiple villagers take their cross out, but that keeps it challenging. Great game!

thatsommes 2019-05-04 10:22

Please make a full version! Love the gameplay and mechanics

copper-aardvark-games 2019-05-04 19:26

Really fun! I was disappointed when it ended haha. I’d love to see a full version of this!

kaisean-games 2019-05-06 10:16

It's hard. Damn hard. Pun intended. Although I don't usually like games about vampires, demons and similar, mechanics of the game are well done. Keep up the good work.

omiya-games 2019-05-11 17:38

This game is pretty hard! The controls were simple enough to grasp, and elements such as "no reflection" and "transforming in front of people = no good" were introduced in intuitive and non-obstructive ways. I think the tutorial, while could use improvements in introducing buttons presses, were thoughtful and well done. You've also managed to create this simplified experience of a stealth game: the thrill of being under-powered but also having enough tools on-hand to handle the situation.

I think my difficulty from playing the game stems from the fact that there are just a lot of people, and it's far too easy to give away your location. It's hard to figure out how to get away from the cross people, since it's a double punishment for detection, and they hunt you while you're hiding (which mainly is due to your character walking slowly, and the health bar makes the bat form untenable). At numerous moments, I simply reacted with a "I don't know what to do here" face. Some improvements in level design slowly teaching the player how to crowd-control would be great.
