It's nice to see learning even in such a simple game. Sounds and animations are simple but enjoyable, not enough music. In general, the game feels very nice.

It feels like an endless nightmare (in a good way). nice work!

trifectuh 2019-04-30 03:09

Took a minute to figure out what to click on, but once I did I had a fun time with it. Neat idea, I'd like to see what you had in mind to extend it!

manuel-rauber 2019-04-30 03:19

For the first game, nicely executed.

However, I don't understand, how you would loose points? If you don't accept a deal, there's no negative outcome?

rhoka 2019-04-30 08:57

I think your idea is solid here but I think you need a bit more in game to explain what's going on. Moving forward I would add in a bit more tutorial to explain what happens when you accept or don't accept a deal. I thought the goal was to only accept offers that were above asking price but my blood points seemed to go up AND down when accepting offers above and below the price. A bit more tweaking and you'll have a good first game! The sound of them walking in was also really satisfying. Maybe just a bit of music in the background as well. Good job!

@manuel-rauber hello thanks for the feedback. the idea was that you had to puchase the items displayed.

but i didnt have the time to properly make the system so when a new item was put out, half of the cost was automaticaly removed from score, so you dont realy notice it.

@rhoka yes tyvm. i overscoped abit sadly, soooooooo i didnt have the time to make a tutorial. the balance is off, and its realy difficulty to lose. if you accept the offer that is under half the price you lose abit of blood point. if not you will gain some.

Your game seems well polished, with a lot of effort on details (I absolutly loved the score animation). There is not much challenge in it (lack of time I guess) but you can definitly be proud of your work for a first attempt!

starlet 2019-04-30 18:47

This was fun! Took me a bit to understand what was going on, but once you figure it out it seems a lot easier to play! Great entry!

tiagorrech 2019-04-30 20:45

This is a nice first entry. The animations are very nice and the overall looks are good!

I think the buttons on the little dudes could be a bigger, took me a while to understand how to close or deny deals. A big button could make the gameplay self explanatory in this way.

With added music and some sound effects, it could go for either a creepy or a fun creepy (as in Nightmare Before Christmas) vibe. Nice work!

lombax 2019-04-30 20:51

@tiagorrech tyvm, ill make a note to make the accept and deny buttons clearer. this is a "problem" that other ppl also mentioned so ill make that a top priority.

nico-fallosch 2019-04-30 22:39

Nice first game! Just the buttons were very tiny i neede d some time to find them.

zax 2019-05-01 08:22

Had fun playing it! it's kinda confusing at the beginning but after awhile I understood it

pedro137br 2019-05-01 16:52

really good but at the beggining was hard to know what to do

mike-inprinciple 2019-05-02 00:46

I haven't participated so I cannot rate, however, I can leave some feedback:

1. It's not obvious how to interact with the game. I kinda realised there were those two red and green microbuttons later in the experience. Once I did, it was fine. 2. The game is quite shallow, all I did was click on yes if offered value above sticker price, click no for every other possibility. It became tedious fairly quickly.

black-potion 2019-05-02 03:26

it was our first Game Jam too, we almost went for a similar idea to yours but we could not produce the graphics. so we went for a hacking game about stealing memories :D you know how it goes.

arcus 2019-05-03 09:55

You should upload a few pictures to the Ludum Dare page, so people can see endgame parts, or ways to get past sections.

lombax 2019-05-03 11:58

@arcus yes tyvm for the feedback, i will try to do that the next ludum dare. atm there isnt much endgame, but ill definetly try to make that happen next time around.

lombax 2019-05-03 11:59

tyvm for the feedback everyone, realy appreciate it. from the feedback i see some mistakes i made and i'll definetly do it diffrently and better next time. tyty :dog: :dog:

Not bad for the first game, but I think you have to grow up as a game developer. However I did not understand the score system, you should add a tutorial.

lombax 2019-05-03 15:17

@link oof, that one hurt xD. well i overscoped, and in my mind the gameplay is actualy only around 10% of what it should have been, but ty for the feedback. :dog: as well as overscoping i focused abit to much on the art, so myeah.....

garys 2019-05-04 21:59

I'm not sure I really understood how the points worked - I thought I was selling the parts and people were coming in to offer an amount, so I'd accept any offer over the price displayed. I also didn't realise what I had to click on at first... For a first game it's pretty good work though. I liked the graphics and the little animations.

randomhuman 2019-05-15 20:23

Good work completing your first Ludum Dare! I didn“t really understand what I was doing in your game, but I was doing quite well anyway  You have a lot of good detail in the art and the music is good. With a bit clearer gameplay I think this could be a lot of fun.
