LD46 — Keep it alive

ALIEN RESCUE by Imphenzia 2020-04-21T11:18:19Z

Great audiovisuals and a thoroughly entertaining game! From seeing the submissions so far, it seems that the theme facilites playing supporting characters in established mechanics, like the frogger here.

But this implementation is great and also is of the more humorous games.

Sellonia by nopogo 2020-04-21T10:20:24Z

It's quite difficult, which prevented my enjoyment of the game. It feels like I stand no chance against the robots. Otherwise, it looks nice, and the audio design is great!

Thorough explanations of what the actions do (at least here) would be helpful.

The Lamp Man by Jakub Panek 2020-04-21T11:09:15Z

Quite nice game, very ambient and moody. I love the meeples following you around. However, it is slightly cumbersome and demanding to squint at underground pipe locations in increasing darkness. If the UX for that would be more polished, I would play a lot more of this game.

Symbiosis by -banzi 2020-04-21T10:51:00Z

Wow, a very good and very polished game! I am a sucker for these tactics though. I also like how you used the theme. The graphics are great, audio likewise.

It seemed bugged in that the laser enemies didn't do any damage to me. The game was very simple, then. I tried to avoid the lasers anyway and the movement started to be nicely strategic.

And one teensy-tiny bit - I think the movement should be faster. It just takes quite long to get across one room.

Me. Fire. Run. Cave. by Ryano 2020-04-21T10:09:59Z

Hits all the right spots, everything quite works - graphics, gameplay, audio. Even though the game is simplistic, it is fun! Also, ankle-height ankylosaurus!

Forfeit REBIRTH by Hartvichio 2020-05-10T19:55:49Z

Very fun game, quite nicely done visuals, sound and little particle effects. Well done!

Catch the Worm by Sprotex 2020-04-21T08:46:44Z

I like the graphics and the technical component, they're quite high quality. Just the gameplay is a bit tedious and unchallenging

Staying Alive by CodeForJoyCaro 2020-05-05T11:19:23Z

Nice and simple rhythm game. Very cool animation of the guy, and music. A nice touch would be to have some visual interpretation of the rhythm, such as pulsating buttons or the like.

It feels like there's already enough of this type of game in the world. Epistory, zty.pe, just to name a few, I don't see much innovation here. Also typing the same words is less fun than typing random ones.

Imagine Killing Dragons by woiteee 2020-04-21T10:27:15Z

@walnoot Thank you for reporting a bug! It seems to be connected to sound-playing, so I have created a soundless build, which can now be found under the Linux link. Let me know if it helps.

@nikita-demidov or anybody else - there are actually 2 ways of preventing the prince from killing the dragon

@dishtron - if you keep it watered, something happens. Watch the log to see tree status :)

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Ribbon by 100th_Coin 2020-10-15T19:50:09Z

This game is pretty awesome. Very good and innovative take on the genre. I think the only thing that it would need to advance this to a "full game" is to get better perspective when moving the strip, as it's hard to see where you are going.

But all in all, top notch!

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Boom Boom Revolution by Sprotex 2021-04-27T00:25:53Z

The game idea is really nice, but the difficulty (or the smoothness of the difficulty, perhaps?) seems too high. I can only get a few bombs planted. I think the experience I am having would work great after I've accelerated through couple tens of seconds of gameplay and would be the pinnacle moment, but this way I can only get a few (defined by HoMaM as 1-4) bombs to blow corridors before my untimely perish...

The graphics looks very nice, the sounds are quite good except for the audible loop repeat, and the idea is splendid, however it is all undermined by tough/unbalanced difficulty.
