Man that was an experience! Loved the visuals so much, they are so unique! Tho it made me feel little dizzy with the blurs and bright lights at few moments. Overall it feels really well crafted!

pnkvrt 2021-04-27 08:45

What a unique experience! The graphics are surreal and otherworldly, I like the sound, the atmosphere is very specific (in a good way) the gameplay is tense and stressful (which is probably the point :D) Overall I enjoyed this experience! I will say the visuals made me dizzy at some points but otherwise this is great!

sam-machell 2021-04-27 09:18

@magnie @pnkvrt thank you both for playing! Apologies for the visuals! Indeed we wanted them to be dizzying but perhaps we went too far

plastacier 2021-04-27 11:49

What a great experience like everytimes!

Thanks you for your work! The audio and the post processing with dialogues do the job well for the global atmosphere. I felt some emotion by moments, the immerssion is very good. > And this time I laught a little with dialogues xp

ambeurk 2021-04-27 13:34

The most traumatic karaoke I have ever "sang" T_T Why does it make me feel ?

Thanks for morphing anxiety into art in a simple week end, it's a curious hobby but amazingly done.

And as always, a unique & pervasive atmosphere <3

sebirit 2021-04-27 18:23

deeply unsettling. The sound of clapping.

mrhassansan 2021-04-27 23:22

Wow, this is so well-done! We tried to avoid scripted sequences/camera movements for our own game because it can be so time consuming to get it just right--but you nailed this. I wish there were a writing category--I loved reading this work! The host sounded exactly like conferences I've been to before, the player character's inner dialogue is raw and real, and the ending segment was beautiful. I'm really glad I played this!

fcvalise 2021-04-28 08:28

Masterpiece ! The feeling of social anxiety is real, the mood is incredible, the sound design is on point, the graphics too. Aaaaand I suck at karaoke apparently :)

Bravo !

devparty 2021-04-28 11:45

Very odd experience, never seen anything like this. Good job!

codeforjoycaro 2021-04-28 12:09

Excellent. Loved the way you could join in the karaoke by typing.

thebmxeur 2021-04-28 12:46

Interesting.

denzil-gomes 2021-04-28 15:42

I'm not great at typing and I felt the feedback on how good you were or not could've been clearer..but...but...What a unique game!!!

I really like the camera work, trippy art style and all the sounds that tie it all together. If this doesn't score top marks in mood then something went wrong. It gives me black mirror vibes, not sure entirely why but its a compliment for sure. Also you captured the anxiety of public speaking very well, surprisingly well. I loved the experience of your game. Well done, One of my favourites of this jam!

wolfrug 2021-04-28 15:59

Wow. This was definitely different. Lovely stuff, incredible aesthetics, fantastic audio, and a fascinating message. Blurgh, writing has never been so hard (just writing this I realize how often I make typos :D). A work for art, for sure!

wheybags 2021-04-28 17:27

The combination of subject matter and the graphics, I felt genuine dread in my stomach. Very nice. And with my godawful tying skills, wow, the protagonist was right to be worried :D

nyanpierre 2021-04-28 17:32

its a little weird but i like the idea ! good job

joel-davis 2021-04-28 17:34

I came for the Bayer dither pattern, I stayed for the crippling anxiety. Really amazing work, did a great job of using limited tools to evoke the feeling of public speaking. Excellent.

legolula 2021-04-28 18:48

What an amazing experience, I really felt the dread and anxiety of the main character, and felt as trapped as (s)he did when choosing what to say/think. Congratulation to the team, great entry!

chambre19 2021-04-28 21:35

This is definitely unique and very well done. I wasn't sure what to expect going into it. Great job and keep up the good work! I hope to see you guys next ludum dare!

guladam 2021-04-28 22:20

A stunning entry! I loved the visual style. It alone created the mood, but with the sound effects and animations (including playing with the camera angles and distance) really linked together into a great experience. The game felt polished. It was really interesting to type the song to sing it. :microphone: :musical_note: My only note is that the guiding line that shows the speed was a bit hard to see.

It was awesome that I had the opportunity to try this. Very well done!

fadex 2021-04-29 00:39

Wow, the visuals and the sound are beautiful! It felt more like a movie than a game tho.. But I was immersed.

matterlinx 2021-04-29 00:40

A very unique game to say the least. I enjoyed to music as well. Good job!

handsomeshan 2021-04-29 09:05

thank you guys for a nice experience

sam-machell 2021-04-29 09:44

@fadex thanks for playing! Your comment feels more like a movie than actual feedback tho...

xiyou 2021-04-29 10:05

This image style is so mysterious, I really like it

saltysa 2021-04-29 12:00

This was so unique and interesting! The visuals and sounds were unsettling and really made this whole experience dreadfully relatable. I didn't understood how the karaoke works the first time but now that I get it it's really original

rawb 2021-04-29 13:17

This game is so great. I love the visual style and the song

wolfier 2021-04-29 15:58

This is definitely not a game I've qualified to critique which is somewhat ironic considering what it is.

Really not a lot I can say except that the typing minigame was really awkward. I'm not sure how much it mattered though since the game doesn't really give any feedback on it.

I guess another thing I should mention is that I don't actually know what you were aiming for with the "protester". The lack of visuals as to what actually going on during that scene makes it difficult to determine who's what's going on and the fact he only gets three words out before getting "touched" suggests that randoms are trying to throw him out rather then security. Plus His words go back and forth between civility and just causing problems.

But ya, the writing is really good otherwise.

bereg 2021-04-29 21:41

Why don't you make a platformer, like all the normal people? There's no "art" in the "game", y'know. Jokes aside, it's beautiful. From the tiniest flashing pixel to the whole directing of the story. If the goal of an art piece is to convey emotions and thoughts, then your game is true art on every level possible. Thank you for that wonderful experience. I love your game, please tell her that! Too bad the marriage between an interactive experience and a man is still forbidden. But the time will come.

aeveis 2021-04-30 02:59

I enjoyed the experience, I liked the dithering and the colors. for the choices, I thought it'll be better to think about external factors harming me (that's not in my control, and maybe won't happen) rather than personal negative feelings. nice work!

local-minimum 2021-05-03 17:20

I think this is my favourite so far. What a game!

I really dig the visuals, how it interacts with the audio and the feelings of the protagonist. I love how awkward it made me feel in such a short time. The song... it was fantastic. I got some lines right, but most wrong. And that felt exactly like it should be. The visuales for the typing was perhaps a little bit too unclear, especially over some backgrounds that it was near impossible to see the progression and the time-bar. But, I really felt like the true experience of the game involves failing and so it didn't matter much.

dobrila 2021-05-03 17:44

definitely an unique experience ! interesting story ! great job with the sounds !

rusty-bailey 2021-05-03 21:05

That was so bizarre and I loved it.

roka-josh 2021-05-18 09:36

What in an incredible experience, the visuals, the audio the overall mood captures the building anxiety perfectly and then to have such a funny conclusion to it all was really spot on. Fantastic job!
