looks like you ahve some issues with how you did the linux build:

``` Invalid serialized file version. File: ".../PenguinVoyage1.0-linux/PenguinVoyage10-linux_Data/globalgamemanagers". Expected version: 2018.2.3f1. Actual version: 2018.2.2f1. ```
Great sense of humor on the intro, Couldn't get very far because of how the trajectory is displayed. I kept running off to space every jump except a few. The art style is perfect and the concept too but maybe make it a bit more "Arcade-like". Great job!
caeonosphere 2018-08-13 19:43
Polished to a shiny, hard finish! Best I could do was about five jumps. It would be cool if I could see an additional planet ahead, so I could compute even more brilliant trajectories (i.e. die even sooner).
Sorry to hear about the linux build. I'll try to fix it ASAP, I took down the link from itch.io for the time being, thanks for the feedback! :)
guladam 2018-08-13 20:04
@adroitconceptions I updated the build, the issue should be gone now, could you test it again and tell me if it works now? :)
adroitconceptions 2018-08-13 20:10
@guladam that fixed it... will be able to rate the game shortly.
adroitconceptions 2018-08-13 20:18
* wonderful audio * nice intro and thanks for remembering a skip button * jumping from planet to planet is a bit harsh in timing.
youkaidrawing 2018-08-14 08:41
Vector graphic and music is so beautiful. High rate!
When the theme suggestions were still up, I suggested "penguins". I was pretty disappointed that my suggestion never reached the voting stage. Even then, me and my team ended up making a game about whales instead.
But then I find this game. Wow. You are my hero.
On a more serious note, the graphics and the audio are pretty good. Everything looks polished and very well done. The voice acting was pretty surpising, too. The gameplay... Well, maybe it's all down to personal preference but the way the player's ship moves confused the heck out of me.
guladam 2018-08-14 10:46
@adroitconceptions thanks for the feedback, and for helping me to fix the Linux build! :)
@2lol555 thanks for the tip mate, glad you enjoyed it ^_^
@caeonosphere seeing a planet ahead is a really cool idea, thanks for the suggestion, really appreciate it. :)
@youkaidrawing I'm glad you loved the art style! :)
@sat9 Woooow, I'm so happy to hear that, penguins are hella cool! Maybe we communicated unconsciously the whole time! :) Yeah, the jump curve is definitely hard to get used to, we wanted a rage-game style gameplay, I think we may have over-succeeded.
I'll check out your entries as soon as I have the time to do so.
This game is really nice and the graphics are really good
skyrex 2018-08-15 11:00
This game is quite ideal! Simple, pretty, fun. I haven't much to say your game is now my nr #1
sadsmile 2018-08-15 11:57
The gameplay idea is clever and the intro is pretty funny. It's a little bit too difficult for me :D
atillagallio 2018-08-15 13:34
I love how polished this game is! The gameplay idea is pretty different! (but too difficult perhaps?)
guladam 2018-08-15 19:18
@bungalow glad you liked it mate! :)
@skyrex wow, I'm so glad to hear that, hope you had a good time playing it! :]
@sadsmile @atillagallio thanks for the feedback guys! :) We know it's a bit difficult, but once you get used to the curve it gets better, I promise. :v:
Hope you guys had fun times playing it and again, I'll try your games as soon I can.
raffe 2018-08-15 20:16
Oh my, this is actually a lot harder than I thought lol.
That early intro was amazing! Good voice acting and a funny story thing :D Also the audio was great, and graphics, and the game feels 100% polished and I couldnt find anything to complaing about.
Wonderful!
monetai 2018-08-15 20:37
Really nice game, I loved the Intro !! It's a difficult game but very fun!
cheetahcat 2018-08-15 23:56
Yeah, I also loved the intro.
Penguins rock!! <3
And the references to climate change and humans not being so nice for the planet ...
Anyway, as for the actual game play: Nice sound! Cool graphics! Gameplay was a tiny bit hard for me, but then I was happy when I had managed a few jumps in a row.
I keep wondering, if it is just get as far as you can, or whether there is a secret ending somewhere. :)
gamepopper 2018-08-16 12:34
Really fun game! The physics can be a bit difficult to get the hang of but the game is nice and challenging. Love the back story at the beginning and the art style.
honey 2018-08-17 15:31
Pretty high production quality for a jam game! I had fun and there's basically nothing that bothered me or seemed to me like it could use some improvement. Tough job when trying to give a quality feedback :( Thanks for the experience, definitely glad I played your game!
guladam 2018-08-18 15:44
@raffe, @monetai, @cheetahcat, @gamepopper, @honey: Really glad you guys liked the game! Highly appreciate the feedback from everyone, you are all awesome! ^_^
I'm sorry to say that, but there is no secret ending implemented. We definitely wanted something like it, but the deadline was too tight at the end of the event!
ryanjavanshir 2018-08-18 17:18
Really nice vector style graphics you got here, and the sound was good also. Gameplay wise was a bit difficult but it was a cool concept! Good job.
anlaxix 2018-08-22 01:48
Nice pretty game, good job ;)
ursagames 2018-09-04 03:39
This was a lot of fun to play! A bit challenging, but very engaging! Thanks for sharing your game with my stream awhile back. Your game was played around 6:18 into this vod: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297885983
