Its probably an html bug, but when i move my mouse faster the in game sensitivity gets lowered, and vice versa, so its pretty much impossible to shoot your hook accurately. Nonetheless this game is a cool concept with good execution and graphics

I like the art style, the voice of the little helper guys sound cool, unfortunately the way the camera works makes me really motion sick so I can't really play it. Looks like it has potential though!
Very well done! I like the game idea and and the mechanics works really well. I am not used to pc gaming so the control scheme with camera adjustment felt little hard to go around. Overall great game!
I desperately wanted to make a grappling hook game this Ludum Dare and didn't have the creativity necessary to come up with one for this theme, but by god you did what I couldn't do. Incredible. Had a great little time with this but unfortunately I couldn't finish it because even at the lowest DPI the camera just swung around way too fast for me. Get some mouse sensitivity options in there and this would be a whole lot of fun, great job!

Felt very fun swinging around like that and the music track really fit the game. I don't think I ever used the 2nd grapple so I'm not sure what its for. Although I wasn't able to find where to go next after meeting the 3 people in the big room so maybe its useful after that. I was also able to stick to walls indefinitely and go wherever I wanted by just clicking the grapple quickly. Overall fun game, really captured the feeling of swinging well.

What's the option to completely turn off mouse smoothing? It feels like there's a quarter-second delay on all my moves and no matter what I change the camera never seems to control the way I want it to. I couldn't get much further than the first grapple hook section because I just could not aim for the life of me.

Nice art style. I had the same problems with the camera, and fiddling with the settings didn't help. The couple of times I hit the hook shot worked very nicely.

Nice game, congratulations for the team! :v: I had a blast playing the game!
Pros: - Clean, nice mechanics - Great level design - Nice difficulty curve - Dark, interesting world - Great genre, fits the theme perfectly - Checkpoint :checkered_flag: (THANK YOU FOR THIS BTW)
Some cons / ideas to improve: - Visual indicators for checkpoints - More prominent platform / interactable elements for noobs like me - Maybe some "depth meter" or some sort of metric to track the progress
Anyways, great work, absolutely loved it. :mountain:

I just found a setting I overlooked in the new unity input system which caused the bad mouse controls. (passthrough & deadzone) It is fixed now and we would be really happy, if you would give it another try :)
Also thanks for the nice words and feedback everyone!
@trusty the second grapple was supposed to have a swing function, but as always with jams, some things you planned in the beginning, have to be cut towards the end :)
@niterich i added a setting to the menu now to turn it off (M)
@guladam thanks for good ideas, if we touch the game again we will add them for sure :)
Pretty fun game, not sure what you're supposed to do when you reach the room with the three chaps. Made many attempts to get lower and actually succeeded once, but there wasn't really indication of where to go from there and eventually I just wound up dying. It was fun while it lasted, and I really dig the art style.
@threaded-lama-digital thanks for playing, and I'm glad you liked it! that spot with the 3 guys was when we ran out of time, so it is sadly the end for now. Sorry for not putting in an end indicator!
"He he." Very fun audio, the voices almost remind me of EYE Divine Cybermancy.
Dig the low-poly + pixel style. Music & sound sets a groovy / dark mood, nice! My one tip to new players is that grapple + jump is your best bet. Getting out of that first penned-in area was tricky.

Very cool game. I like the graphics and tone and everything, although I got easily discombobulated, but maybe that's just me. I played up to a point where I couldn't figure out where to go anymore. Anyway, very cool stuff!
nice mood
but why so dark, couldnt see shiet
also would like smoother movement

I really like the mood you created. It reminds me of Quake and the Nar Shaddaa level in Jedi Outcast. Graphics and audio harmonize well with that. The mechanics are very satisfying and I see tremendous speedrun potential here.
Got round to playing it again after your controls update and wow, what a difference! Managed to finish this time and I enjoyed it a lot. Really cool mechanics you've got there, found myself getting inventive with them to cross tricky platforms, and had a whole lot of fun playing around with the unrestricted grapple in the final room. Props!

Grappling hooks HELL YEAH!
It's a good entry, I enjoyed the hookshots once I got them, but I found that it suffered as a platforming experience because of the first person perspective, it was a bit too easy to miss landings.

Nice game, at the spot with the three blobs, where the game ends, I discovered quite a few mechanics, like smashing the left mouse button while holding "Space" to climb up walls or grapple along the ceiling.
If this point is the end, you should've changed the text of one blob to something like "thanks for playing".
Still, cool game - with lots of possible mechanics (pulling boxes, grapple to moving objects, side-wind, rotating platforms, ..)
Very cool game. I was lost as well with the three guys in the last room, but the comments helped me. Maybe a prominent hint, that this is the end, in the game description would be helpful for other players.
I think you got a nice concept here on which you can build upon. The idea of two hooks with different functions (as I understood from your comments) is really cool. Sadly, in this version, I felt like I only need one hook all the time. Also something feels a little bit off, while hooking around, but I can't exactly explain what. I think the problem might be, that you instantly stop when reaching the end of the hook, that doesn't feel natural. There should be some sort of deceleration/gravity.
The graphic style is really nice, it reminds of old games, but still looks and feels modern.
