The core idle gameplay works, but I would have liked at least one novel feature to grab some attention. Maybe your cult members convince others to join, or attract law enforcement attention if they get too big, forcing you to expand somewhere else. Some benefit from having more members other than just direct contributions every day.

Not sure that it fits the theme since your cult seems guaranteed to grow.

The currency could be formatted so that the box doesn't flicker every time the number changes.

If the UI for a town opens when you scroll over it, it should probably close when you scroll out of the box.

I do like the idea of spreading out over a map, especially if it were fleshed out to allow strategic decision making and benefits for being embedded in different areas(transport hubs, factories, radio towers, etc).

@justlocalhero Thanks for the feedback. Most of the gameplay elements were things I was hoping to implement at the start. However, I spent about half the time trying to wrestle with Godot's UI system (I really only started to understand it a few hours before submission).

Highly convinced the music is intended to brainwash me into joining your cult. It's cool to have some awesome 2012 lore.

this kind of games are really hard to make

I like the idea, and the idle mechanics were pretty good. Two main critiques -- the text at the top flickers A LOT, it looks like the last 2 decimal points aren't padded so it shrinks every time it hits an even digit and drops to 1 decimal point. The other critique is, I wish there was something to do while you waited to earn enough money for the next upgrade. Something you could click on to get money would help keep the player interested.

I liked the goofy graphics and a few of the text blurbs made me chuckle :)

The game does not scale if you have a lower resolution, couldnt access the panel in the screenshot at the right

First, let me say that you had me at "Mom, I started a cult".

I'll start with the complaints. Resolution. For a web integrated environment, I couldn't scale it and had find a monitor with better resolution than my main laptop screen. That means I had to move my laptop from my comfy couch position to my office with my dock. That's ok but I would have liked to change the resolution. Next, when I mouse over the cities the windows pop up automatically. This is annoying, at least for me. I would have rather liked to click on them and have it open. Also, I'm not sure if there's a loose condition. There also doesn't appear to have a win condition either. I've made it to aug 26th with all cities maxed and all upgrades purchased, with half a million dollars. It feels more like a one of those games were you just click away and eventually make your goal. Some do it faster, others not so much. That's ok, as those games do have a place. But it feels like it's not sure if it wants to be a clicker game or an rpg simulation.

The good things. I love the title. Like I said I was in at the title. The graphics and interface while simple convey the information you need to play the game. The audio is good if not repetitive but hey it's a game play loop right. The interface for each of the cities was well done. Overall, you did a great job.

Please understand that most of my gripes and my suggestions here are merely my opinion and I recognize full well that some of the things I'm pointing out really couldn't be accomplished in two days.

I would have loved to see more upgrades (I know time involved), some kind of lose situation showing it's an rpg sim with branching pathways and multiple events or some kind of active form of getting cash/followers. The passive methods/automated methods are fine but it should have some kind of activity for me to do other than wait patiently to click the purchase next upgrade button.

Great concept, would love to see it fully flushed out.
