Enjoyed flying around and the controls were pretty good, but it would have been nice if you had made the game restart by itself. Also I think the fact that you used a premade song prevents you from entering in the "audio" section (not 100% sure but I'd recommend reading up on the rules for next time)
Hi @Baconinvader, thanks for your suggestions, I will surely work on these next time, ya I made use of premade sound and that's why I entered this competition in jam and not as compo because in case of compo only you have to make everything from scratch but in jam I can make use of premade graphics and sound and I made use of sound only but you are correct it's more fun to build a game if everything you built is from scratch.

Liked the game. I needed some time to figure out the perfect movement but then it was fun.
Have a look at our game if you like: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/nanonator
Thanks a lot for your feedback @step4, sure let me take a look :)

The basic idea is OK, but it's just too short lol.
There is a problem that when you are just next to the wall, you can neither jump nor fall (which could be a bug).
I like the idea, it could really be a nice game if it was more polished and longer. The risk/reward idea is nice, but it is too short and need more gameplay idea. Else it is a nice game :)

It was a neat idea but the level was a bit short. It could have used a couple more levels. Nice job.
Has a lot of potential. Way too short. If it was longer and later levels provided a bit more (either through level design or more mechanics), it could be great. Other than the length, was a fun idea that I enjoyed it enough to play it through a few times, even after beating it.
Like the previous commenters said, it's a good concept but it's too short. I feel like it would be nice to expand on it by adding some more mechanics, like making so you can digest food mid-level or maybe different kinds of food that fill/heal different amounts. The flap mechanic feels comfortable and binds well with the sound effect with it. The visuals of the bat good but the level could use some more variety in tiles.

It would be nice to make the game have an auto-restart option, but I know that isn't as easy sometimes in java. We also made our game in java and I was wondering if you used any libraries or anything, because it was a bit of a nightmare when we were exporting the game and yours seems to run smoothly! I liked the simplicity of the game, although I did run into a glitch one time where my screen stopped auto-scrolling before I got to the end. Overall, I enjoyed learning the controls to be fast enough to beat the level. Great job!
thanks a lot @AnnaAD, I used Libgdx framework to code this game, ya it's not that easy working and creating logic and code with java, but ya it's fun. Thank a lot for your comments, appreciate :)
Fun, nice and quite balanced but too damn short. Maybe a bit too easy, but definitely too short.

Fun, but a bit too easy. Nice sounds and controls work fine. Would like a longer version of the game!
thanks for your suggestions @wwwhizz, ya even I feel that I should have made a longer version of the game, next ludum dare for sure :)

Gameplay feels really nice and smooth. I found the food-makes-you-fat mechanic somewhat counter-intuitive. My brain was confused whether it was good or bad to eat the fruit, because fruit is healthy and also restores your health but makes you obese? Anyway, I made it after about 4 tries. I sometimes seemed to get stuck (vertically) when I got too close to a wall and the spike hitbox was pretty large, but otherwise, I felt the physics worked quite well! Level design and graphics are lovely, the overall appearance is great. Nicely done!
PS: I really think you should opt out of the audio category since you obviously didn't create the music yourself (which is totally fine for a Jam game, but the point of the ratings is that people get scores based on what they create themselves, not what they download from the internet).
thanks a lot for your response @phi, ya I downloaded the music from internet, I am not good at creating one, thanks for you comments, I will improve on that part in my next ludum dare entry :)

@zenwraight That's not what I meant. It's absolutely fine if you use music you didn't make yourself. :)
What I meant is that you should consider **opting out of the voting category** in your entry's settings. That way, people won't be able to vote on your audio anymore. If people get ratings for audio they didn't create themselves, they push down people in the rankings who *did* create it themselves, which is not very fair I think.
aah makes sense got your point, I wasn't sure I can do that, I thought in jam category you are automatically enrolled in everything
@phi Done, made the change in settings. Thank you :)
Nice flying controls! :bat::apple::banana:
