Cool idea for a game, first it was pretty confusing but i understood it quickly. Fighting is too easy, i don't need weapons because i can just push the enemy into the corner and spam left and right click, even in hard difficulty.

Even on easy the enemy is pretty smart! I would have liked some indication when I was hit vs. when I hit him apart from the healthbar. Could never quite tell. Pretty nice entry!

The game is good overall the graphics are cool and the sounds too, but i for me it was too easy the ennemies always do the same thing and is quite repetitive, I think the theme is not completely respected.

Very cool idea. I like your art. But unfortunatly I cannot proceed after the first level.
EDIT: Oh I need to press space to continue . Very cool game!

This was excellent! The enemy ai is so much fun to fight against, you really feel like you're on a level playing field. Maybe lower everyone's hp a bit though? The early game fist fights are such a battle of attrition.

At first I had problems to figure out, when I was hit and when I hit my opponent. But when you figuered this out the game is really fun. I also didn't know how to leave the arena after a victory because there was no message. I liked that you got random levels and that even if you stay at the easy part you get different opponents, different movements and even different numbers. All in all it made really fun to play, well done.

Nice work though a bit tough to keep up with all the expenses to keep your family alive. Possibly a bit too realistic :)
Wah! The shield guy on difficult is tough to beat with only your two fists. My arm got tired after mashing the mouse for so long. Bought a spear after that.
Liked - Great use of theme! I felt the tension between wanting to buy sword/shield but also needing to fend for my family - Good music and art - Pixel blood effects
Suggestions - Took me a while to realize "space" returns to menu. After a battle an indication of how to continue would be nice - Hard to tell whether you or the enemy is taking damage. Maybe you could have a different voice or blood color

Interesting game, not a lot to it.
It looked good even though the animations were basic but it could have done with a little more in the sound design. Just hearing the same "Ogh" sound every time someone got hit was a little tedious. I enjoyed it, though!

Just the name... I already loved it when i read the name :'D "Dadiator" please make that an anime, also, good game! :p
Love the name and the concept, unfortunately this doesn't appeal to me. The slow pacing at the start put me off immediately.
'Survival in arena' is a good type. This game give me a expectation to farm in battles and arm yourself, but the whole progress is too short so that I haven't earned enough money to buy all the equipments! I think make it easier to get my favorate sword and wielding it in following MORE battle is also a good experience! The Art and music is good.
I cant stop playing this amazing game
Problems with the Linux version:
* The download is actually a zip file but has the extension .tar.gz. * Missing shared library: libcsfml-audio.so.2.5, maybe others.
Its a great game, I really like how simple yet fun the gameplay is. I didnt exactly like the white stuff they spewed out however as they kinda blinded me at first (is that what they are for?) Either way, good job!
@zarkonnen Thanks for your feedback. I have just downloaded and checked the Linux version and confirmed that it is a .tar.gz file which can be successfully extracted with the command `tar xvf Linux.tar.gz`. CSFML is required to be installed for the Linux version to work. It is available in most Linux package managers, however, if version 2.5 is not available I suggest downloading it from the link provided in the description and placing the libraries in a place that your `PATH` variable can locate
I liked the gameplay, spamming the mouse button to punch is fun ^^ On the store menu, the blend of pixel art and drawing is a bit weird, and the game needs a bit of difficulty check (punching in hard while blocking on the side is really making the battles too easy), but other than that it is a cool game :)
Great game, thanks for making it :D
Very addictive game:) Spent here a lot of time. But i like it. The only problem is that the progress is not cleared after death. But i still like this fighting and controlls a lot. Thank you for this.

I don't understand the requirements for windows version. It asks me for some dll. So finally I played on my frieds machine.
It seems a litle bit unbalanced due to the progress, which does not restart on death (mine or family's).
Also I think that you need to continue the game in some way. I think it needs a bigger version. Well designed graphics, well fited sound. Almost perfect working mechanics. Your game is really good, I think you should finish it as a bigger project.
And the last thing: I don't think it fits in the theme of this LD, sorry.

@mironx @dexfrost89 oh damn you got me there, I had completely missed the resetting issue but now you say it it's really clear to me I didn't code a reset  Do you have any specifics on the dll issue? sounds like a linking issue we may of overlooked. Thanks for playing! I hope you guys enjoyed it

@fletch. It asks me for VCRUNTIME140.dll and MSVCP140.dll (it asked twice for each of them). So it seems it's files of your engine core. And my machine is rather new, I had no time to install all of this. Sorry for disturbing you by my comment.
We enjoyed your game, thank you.

@mironx oh don't worry! We want to make our games work on everyone's computers so this is actually really helpful, we'll look into this! A quick google on my side is that maybe a past windows update was unsuccessful on your system? I don't run windows so I can't look into this too much myself and I can't promise this is the case :S Thank you guys for playing though

@fletch to be honnest I installed windows just one day before Ludum Dare. I don't remember but I think I had not updated it yet. I installed the pro version. Maybe, if you need it, latter I can tell you more about all things connected to this version. But it seems I flood your comments for now.
@mironx Sorry about the issues you ran into, it is most likely that you need to install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable. They should be available here https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/vs/older-downloads/ under the Redistributables and Build Tools section. I think you'll want the 2017 version.

@bulmanator, it seems you are totally right. Thank you.
@mironx Glad to see that fixed the issue. Thanks you for playing and thanks for your feedback
