Nice look to it! Will come back to rate this for sure

justin-largo 2018-08-12 22:50

Love what you did with the theme. Definitely has a similar art style to your previous game crescendo!

serious07 2018-08-13 03:23

Cool game!

4thwallstudios 2018-08-13 03:25

I can tell a lot of work went into this. Has great potential

aret24 2018-08-13 10:05

Very interesting idea!!!!

snakemuho 2018-08-13 14:51

The game got really fun once I got the hang of it. A very well thought-out puzzle game.

mshopf 2018-08-13 15:58

Very interesting idea, and it works pretty well! It's not super easy to grasp at first, but later you understand. And it's super difficult to master. I didn't manage to create a factory with all sides filled with conveyor belts...

maoap 2018-08-13 20:21

I really enjoyed this game, it gets quickly filled with belts and the real fun begins :) However, it's a pitty it doesn't have any background music.

vivianmochi 2018-08-13 21:12

Thank you! I'm really disappointed that I couldn't get any music done in time. Until I can get some proper audio in, I definitely recommend listening to some music in the background.

boltkey 2018-08-14 00:41

That was very fun and challenging. It took me a few runs to realize I don't need to actually push the box into the deposit space, so I could have multicolored belts. I then tried the strategy of just drawing one big circle around the edges just to find out that doesn't work.

After about 15 to 20 runs I finally won. Towards the end, I was pretty much just hoping that the new routes work with the belts I built so far. Also, my factory wasn't *technically* fully functional, because I had to manually split a belt once in a while.

Aaand, I just found out about the possibility to pause the game. That made things a bit easier :). It would be nice to have all the controls on the left side of the screen. I got another very nice factory which works cleanly and rigidly. But why, oh why does it pause when it says that my factory is functional! I want to see my baby move! I want my number of boxes go up indefinitely! What did I make the factory for if not to make a number go big?!

I didn't really find a good use for splitters - they just mess things up. You didn't use them in your example either.

Also, kudos for small download size. That's why I don't even care about the lack of sounds.

vivianmochi 2018-08-14 00:53

@boltkey Thanks for the feedback! I had the same idea as you and wanted to keep the factory running after winning, but I couldn't get it done in time! I'll work on it, as well as identifying what entry point backed up when you lose. I don't think smaller changes like those violate any rules of post-submission updates.

boltkey 2018-08-14 01:07

@nate954 Yeah, I think those are small enough changes. I think only things that change the actual gameplay should not be changed.

stevenjmiller 2018-08-14 15:57

Very fun game! I never ended up getting a complete factory working, but I got close. My only complaint is that the splitters are a little too unpredictable to use confidently in the current build. I think a clearer indication of which direction they are going to send a box next would be a huge help (something like a slight size difference in the two arrows or having only an arrow in the direction it's going and a box or line on the other).

agecaf 2018-08-14 19:32

Really interesting idea! I'd really encourage you to add music (even if it's from opengameart) and sfx (sfxr ones whould be enough); They make the game better not only in the audio category, and sfx for boxes moving would be almost musically rhythmical, while a good sfx to know when you've added more lanes would be super useful.

Gameplay-wise, I'd really appreciate an "erase" button... which I now realize you do have! (In-game instructions would be great)

Still, it's really fun to play, and clever as an idea. The gamplay is very intuitive (as in you can know *almost* all the controls without requiring to read about them), and it runs very smoothly. Great job!

vivianmochi 2018-08-16 03:19

@boltkey and @stevenjmiller thank you guys for the suggestions, I managed to get them in the most recent update! @agecaf I agree that the lack of music is off-putting. It's definitely on my to-do list.

jeremy-ryan 2018-08-16 03:29

Awesome game!

Seems pretty highly dependent on where the random points spawn... first run they were in really inconvenient spots, game two (screenshot attached) they were practically right next to each other.

Pretty good level of polish for compo game, would have liked to see sfx and maybe more usability/feedback stuff but overall strong. This would be awesome to see at larger scale with more tile types.

Nice game!

bongard22 2018-08-16 05:30

This game is really cool. But with a little more tutorialization and even just a little sound/music it would be fantastic!

gentoogames 2018-08-16 05:50

I love the simple art style and super smooth animations! such a great stylistic choice

tobiasvl 2018-08-16 06:24

Feels a bit like Zachtronics's take on ChuChu Rocket! I like it!

pranjalbisht 2018-08-16 06:38

This scratched my puzzle game itch in just the right spot. Amazing work! Finally won after making a factory that looks non-functional but actually works..compactory.jpg

Really great work with the game design! Although I found myself not using the splitters, they get hard to predict and break most things if you've got a working belt.

rs11s21n 2018-08-16 08:39

i complete it but i think it's some little too randomness

fenderbate 2018-08-16 15:58

Looks really cool, but new boxes come a bit too fast for my liking

lucas-ferrantelli 2018-08-16 17:22

I love this kind of puzzle game ! So hard, maybe slow down the game a bit, but still huge ! I follow you since the last Ludum, and this game is amazing ! Nice entry

mao 2018-08-20 06:00

Fun bite-size puzzle game! The random positioning of the conveyors adds a nice amount of variety. It takes a little while to figure out how everything works, and I still don't know what splitters are good for, but once I understood it, I had fun building tiny networks and watching them work in mesmerizing patterns. I'll definitely be saving this one.

lexichan 2018-08-22 00:22

Gave me very strong Factorio vibes and I -love- it; Some notes; I still haven't been able to finish a level but a pattern that I've noticed is that if you do it just right; the solution is just to move the boxes in a big circle? Which seems like it kind of defeats a lot of the purpose. The style was very much consistent through the whole game and I'd be excited to see what this would look like with some more attention put towards some of the elements. Also: you should probably include the "Z to restart" on the screen with the other controls as that was a little aggrevating trying to figure that out in quick play throughs. All in all though I found myself playing it for a good half hour straight when my internet went down. Love it ^^

vfabien21 2018-08-25 05:32

That's a very nice idea. But for some reason, I find the controls very difficult. I might have missed something as I don't see similar comments... But for someone reason I have difficulties mixing bounce and conveyors.
