It doesn't work
The game doesn't open on my system, and the web version 404s. --------------------------- Block Pilot.exe - System Error --------------------------- The code execution cannot proceed because UnityPlayer.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.
Exe not working, I think it's missing the dll. Try a reupload :)
Welp, it doesn't seem to be working. I have no ides what to do. It runs fine on my computer.
Yup, missing UnityPlayer.dll, same as others :(
Graphics look good. The control scheme could use some work, though. I find it difficult to see where I'm shooting.
Just played the web version and it works fine. The graphics are good and the music is very nice! The biggest downside is that I can't tell where I am shooting. You can make it better if there was some sort of target to show you where your bullets will land. The guys in the corners are very hard to hit.
Very Good, i love voxel art, it will be nicer if you display the score in the death screen and if you add a highscore system, in unity you can do it using [playerprefs](https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/PlayerPrefs.html)
I like the voxel look with the motion blur! There should be at least a small aiming UI since it does get hard to tell where you're actually shooting.
I love the graphics. The music is also rocking.
However, I as expecting it a flying game, I mean, the background moves. Also, it's hard to shoot. You should refer to starfox's aiming system. Shoot feedback is also weak.
I agree with most of the previous comments on here (from the people who could play your game).
One thing I haven't seen is that the enemies don't really stand out from the background. it took me awhile before I really noticed the first enemy. You could try doing something with shading or just changing the spaceship color to not be a similar color as the cars and road.
It was really hard to aim, but I think the perspective (not top down but a more 3d approach) is very interesting and was a good factor. You probably needed to make it a little easier to see things and aim at things. One possibility would be to shoot faster, a line of bullets is always easy to see.
Anyways, good game. I really did enjoy the voxel art style, it worked quite well!
It's a very nice look and feel to the game, I think with some small tweaks it would be more fun to play. Like others have said I found it really hard to aim, partly because I couldn't see the bullets very well. I think it might be interesting if the ship were fixed to slightly below the center of the screen, and when you moved the mouse it moved the background instead. Anyway I still had fun with it, and I think it looks great!
Controls are a bit hard to get around, the way the camera is static it blocks the view of the incoming enemies, this could be fixed by making the camera swivel on the x axis depending on the mouse location. The voxel art is great, though it tends not to work to well in games like this as it can get a bit overwhelming trying to find the rights squares to shoot at, you did well to offset this by the strong contrast of colours. I really enjoyed the music.
I agree with a lot of the above. I like the look and feel, but it's really hard to distinguish the enemies from the background with the camera perspective and their coloring. I had a lot of issue with framerate too - played the Web version - and I ended up dying even though I was shooting at enemies approaching me.
There's a great concept behind this, it just needs some polish!
This game deserves a LOT more attention than its getting.. only 3 reviews.. ive just left your 4th.. good luck.. i enjoyed playing it.
The windows version does not work. The web version works fine. Looks nice. Sounds nice. Gameplay wise its hard. It's hard because of perspective which makes tageting near impossible, enemies that are undistinguishable from the enviroment, and postprocessing effects which are slowing game down. Still it was pleasant experience.
Very laggy for me. Always remember not to model faces that the player will never see. Simply delete those after you've finished any baking and stuff.
The game felt a bit laggy for me, but it was still enjoyable. The perspective of the game made it a bit hard to aim properly in my opinion and it seemed like some enemies could spawn outside of the view range. The graphics are wonderful though, liked that you added a small story in there. Good entry overall.
A nice game! It was a bit laggy, and the motion blur was kinda offsetting, but the voxel graphics looked great.
