I liked the idea, but needs more action, imho

Indeed, our entries really are similar, but we didn't dare making our game in 3d. i really like the monster. he's cute in some way.
for the win condition, 3 pictures may be too fast, and cousteau didn't bothered me.

rfgpfeiffer 2015-08-27 08:11

Yep, you're right. We may have overdone it on the graphics. We finished the actual game mechanics kind of last minute.

slapunas 2015-08-27 09:45

It is a very nice looking game, but the gameplay is lacking, there is not much to do...

rfgpfeiffer 2015-08-27 13:11

Fixed a crash bug, Windows build works now, too.

adsilcott 2015-08-27 14:57

It was fun being Nessie. Could have been a little more gameplay added. Cousteau didn't bother me and I just stood in the a spot where the tourists could photograph me over and over.

Good to see Nessie in a videogame! I like the fact that it has been in 3d and the gameplay is a bit weird but the graphics are awesome (water and nessie model). Good job!

All you have to do is sit at the the top

foxboard 2015-08-27 15:46

Interesting idea, cute graphics, far too easy.

vitoraguiar 2015-08-27 15:48

really enjoy the game! it's simple and relaxing, you just hang out on the river posing for pictures and i lol-ed when the dog appears in the photo =D

I really love those swim animations and the whole initial setting with looking down the water reflection - very nice. As you wrote in the comments, I can really see that you spent a lot of time on the graphics, and they turned out really great. Because we had her "posing" in our game, and since you have to good animations, it would have been cool if pressing up while already at the surface made her show off some. I might not have figured out exactly how the mechanics worked. I just got loads of photos from the tourists, but no Jack or any on the beach. So I might have been doing something wrong. Sometimes there was a seal in the photo too.

Go team nessie!

Loved seeing the tourists' photos, with the surprise seals! Nice touch.

It was a bit too easy to just sit infront of the tourists and rack up the points (although posing was fun :)) -- adding some pressure on the player would've made it feel more like a game.

Really cool concept, it felt weird being restricted to a 2D axis and the movement was a little gamey. But really cool idea and nice job on animation.

Good job, and you got it to run in the WebGL version too. I have NEVER gotten anything to compile and run smoothly in WebGL from Unity. :)

hotboxgames 2015-09-03 11:23

Nice idea, game play is a bit simple and a bit meme heavy but visuals are nice.

xanjos 2015-09-03 11:27

WebGL version was a bit laggy (Might be because I was playtesting this on my Surface Pro 3) but this was very fun to play and I loved the water reflections.

frostvoid 2015-09-03 11:58

Nice game, really like the graphics and environment. The pictures taken by the tourist feature is awesome. Would be really cool if the environment was 3d and some more gameplay elements added. Enjoyed playing it!

Very funny game, was quite easy, not that i'm complaining.

Captain Awesome: we were as surprised as you! :D

Btw. we recommend the standalone versions over WebGL if you don't want to watch a slideshow...

Man, loving these games!
Could use some more challenge, but it felt great overall :) congrats!

careless 2015-09-15 00:37

Arrow keys just moved page up and down sadly was unable to control the game.

rfgpfeiffer 2015-09-16 13:09

careless: it should work in fullscreen or with the downloadable versions
