that's a pretty fun idea, and the card draw mechanic is interesting, but it probably needed a little more of the card game mechanics to make it stand out from a pure tower defense game

This is a really awesome concept and probably the best interpretation of the theme I've seen so far. Great job!
I like the visuals and sound and really like how the lighting was done, but (at least initially) there seems to be no real reason to avoid combat. Balancing aside, it's a really cool and well executed idea, congrats on finishing the game!

Great core mechanic with a high degree of polish and completeness. Had to play both characters but I can see how this would work well in multiplayer!

The visuals are pretty nice, and it's one of the few LD40 games where I can actually see the theme being implemented.

It seems like a pretty feature complete product which is always a big accomplishment, but the controls makes the movement feel very slippery.
This game is really pretty to look at, and the music fits perfectly too (why opt out of audio rating by the way?)
Art and storytelling are really great, but the pacing might be a little off due to very long expositions. Shaving off a few lines of text here and there could have made this a little better.
This is the way to do minimalist graphics that actually match the mood of the game, well done! :)

Pretty fun concept and the sword swinging / death animations are pretty satisfying.
Please don't bind things to Shift, because it triggers Sticky Key warning on Windows. :P

Pretty fun mechanic, but the levels might be a little too long.
Cool style, and is a finished game. Sometimes it's unclear which things block movement and which you can jump on.
