Quite cool, enjoyed the graphics and the concept, although it seems a bit based on luck (the name says it all) but i liked it a lot, congrats :)

mortus 2017-12-05 03:12

@binaryunit Thanks! It's actually quite consistent if you play it safe. Maybe even a little too consistent. Also, I think you've played a version with few terminal bugs which I've noticed and fixed in the last minute of a submission hour.

oceanosaurus 2017-12-05 18:59

Very cool concept with a unique presentation I love the police getting suspicious of my incredible luck and buying stuff to make me happy! Almost like in real life... except for the incredible luck :P Maybe I would have added a fast forward or skip button in order to develop more quickly (specially while traveling from location to location), but other than that I find it to be a really solid entry, Congrats!

iamtalin 2017-12-05 18:59

Pretty cool game, and works seamlessly. Pretty easy to get into too.

I never knew I had so many foreign great-uncles.

ruba 2017-12-05 19:08

I saw Walter White, I swear :) Nice game, cool concept. Enjoyed playing it.

gatinmnsok 2017-12-05 19:10

Well done, fun game. I thought I lost when I ended up in jail, but luckily there was my lawyer and everything was ok.

ponker 2017-12-05 19:11

I liked the art alot!

mrassassin 2017-12-05 19:15

The whole time playing I was thinking "Is there any way I can stop pissing the police off?", then I realised it was intentional and was a cool way to open up some more options without spoiling them too early. Finding it difficult to actually give some criticism; I guess just more content for this great vertical slice :)

kraftkar 2017-12-05 19:15

I like the graphics and sound design. Nice job! It's an interesting time management game, but unfortunately with too much RNG for my taste.

interpol 2017-12-05 19:15

It have a nice atmosphere of "luckiest businessman". There is no happiness, you are wandering from bar to casino, from work to IKEA and home(Some Fight Club desperation here). Pathetic life, I hope I got the right vibe .

Nice pixelart style, very clean and simple. Sounds are great too. But I would like to see more locations, like some beaches or something. I understand that you had no time for that type of things, just suggesting you the future work.

Also it will be a good game for mobile devices.

profan 2017-12-05 19:41

Why am I never this lucky in real life? Then again, I also don't have the police take such.. great interest in me in real life either, or the local mob for that matter. So maybe I should be happy? :D

Quite easy to get lost in the game and just keep going!

I even managed to mess up my sleep cycle, just like in real life! The realism!

rob-white 2017-12-05 19:41

How depressingly amazing! I got locked up and my lawyer told me he would get me out...then I became soo unhappy I could just leave the cell myself to go get pissed. Loved the art style, the music and the interactions. The only improvement I can really suggest right now is improved UI for the results of the interactions. That's the only thing that stands out as bringing you out of the experience. Good game!

soldierbear 2017-12-05 19:56

Fun and great exectuion. Loved how the travel option always makes you walk to the right, fun stylistic choice.

ponchoguy 2017-12-05 20:03

Very nice game @mortus managed to get through the whole game!

Did find a small glitch where the Lawyer's face wasn't showing up below (I was on Web App)

Other criticism was the music stopped after one loop of the game - Don't know if this was intentional.

It was fun trying to manage all the bars and there was alot of stuff to buy (and pray that the robbers don't steal it from you!)

goddess 2017-12-05 20:11

A few thoughts: Pretty interesting game and with quite a lot of playtime. After starting to buy the island, the lawyer's pic was all white. Really thought I was done when i pressed "buy" on the island, oh well, guess that's life. Also the dialogue button sometimes didn't work when the forced bar-goings came up. I wish there was a way to cancel the travel thing, was forced to travel a few times when i didn't want to just cause i accidentally clicked it. I also wish making money was this easy irl...

cyberpunks 2017-12-05 21:26

Very interesting idea, I admit the game had me hooked for quite a while :) The game does rely on randomness a bit too much for my taste, however, and it would be nice if there were ways to appease the police a little.

pkenney 2017-12-07 03:02

Wow this was interesting. Nice graphics and presentation/UI. The story was pretty dark: I don't enjoy my work, and my only outlets for happiness are gambling, drinking, and the vacant consumerism of purchasing items I don't need or even use. Then when I try to just live a balance of work and light drinking with the occasional visit to the casino (like a normal person, obv) the police and mob are both out to get me!

Backed into a corner I started drinking more heavily, doing shady work, let me sleep schedule go to hell. Eventually I descended into massive gambling just to feel something. It's no wonder I ended up in prison.

Nice and compelling entry here, you drew me into the world of the game and created a story!

explorer 2017-12-07 16:09

Very nice game, love the art style and how perfectly it captures some aspects of life despite being a minimalistic game.

mortus 2017-12-07 21:51

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

@oceanosaurus Yeah, the fast forward button would be nice, or at least a setting for changing animation speed.

@iamtalin That's the point, it's always great-uncles you never knew existed!

@interpol More locations would take more time unfortunately. Actually there were hotel and security shop in game which I cut out at the last moment because I had no time to draw graphics for them. Hotel was a place with a crappy bed but no risk of robbery at night, and in security shop you could buy cameras, better doors etc.

@ponchoguy Thanks for the thorough review! I was afraid no one would buy useless cars and furniture! :D

@pkenney Glad that you've liked it! That was the plan - let the story create itself, and if I'm lucky, it would be a different story in different playthroughs. The game needs more content for that though.

cliff-lee-cl 2017-12-08 14:23

Great game in all aspects!

The game was fun at first then becoming frustrating to get to the ending. But I think that's the theme at? Or the goal is too far (100,000)

The car doesn't help the speed between rooms... That's so sad :(

Graphics and audio are very good! Good Job!

The gambling industry is one of the economy's most closed and non-public sectors. Therefore, more and more myths constantly appear around the gambling business, which has nothing to do with reality. The management interface of online casinos on the most popular platforms looks even more straightforward than the accounting programs used in every office. Vendors offer off-the-shelf solutions that can be used without a technical background or high-tech experience. At the end of the day, the challenge in online gambling, as in any other industry, is attracting new customers and retaining old ones. It's all about marketing, not programming languages or engineering background. So after being in the gambling industry for a while, thanks to https://reddogs-casino.com/, I decided to open my own online casino.
