LD30 — Connected Worlds

Wormings by thynnmas 2014-08-26T22:45:00

Interesting take on a lemmings game. The music fits well. I feel a bit dumb I didn't realize you could swap the trampoline.

Two smaller things I noticed: 1) Losing all your worms to spikes would advance you to the next level. 2) I couldn't start a new game again after being sent to the menu (either through finishing the game or quitting after the first level)
Aside from those, the worm physics is a bit wonky.

Twin Souls in Parallel Worlds by ramoncb 2014-09-02T08:30:00

Cute graphics and solid execution. Not sure if the music fits but it gave me a chuckle and lightened the mood as you mentioned - maybe even humorous. I enjoyed playing this.

ShiftKeeper by egor-idiot 2014-09-09T01:43:00

Wonderful art. Unfortunately pressing K to restart on the Windows version doesn't always seem to work.

Haunting mood. Nice build up of atmosphere. I liked the computer chat aspect, and I agree with DaRaccoon about feeling safe at chat but not when away.

It seems like some debug controls were left in? (Up/Down arrow keys)

World Shift by bconrad217 2014-08-28T22:30:00

The game crashes after taking the shaded area to the north, then exiting and going to the path to the southeast.

Chicken Dimension by Zabuza 2014-08-26T06:36:00

Nice music choice, I think it brings some atmosphere in and would still fit if the game had a more serious tone. The jump sound effect is a bit harsh.

Some more varied background art would have really spiced things up (just add the palm trees already!), and Different themes on the levels would have felt more "Connected Worlds", even if it's mostly a palette swap. Good art though!

Nitpicking: I would have liked if collecting the dark orbs had a bit more reach.

Lvyn: That bug should be fixed now. I apologize for the lack of clarity. You aren't the only one mention these issues. :( Thank you.

dancingmad: Thanks. I'll consider visual cues for both.

Hamster Run by scriptblocks 2014-08-31T08:55:00

Amusing idea. I wish the scale of the level was smaller, and the bgm loop longer and more varied.

LD36 — Ancient Technology

Allo? by Darenn 2016-08-31T10:07:00

Wow! Another phone game! And it seems as if there are others, too. Nonetheless, interesting gameplay idea. The increasing telephone babbling really sets the hectic mood. Good music & art too. Solid game.

I think adapting this for a touch screen sounds fun. (Two fingers, one for each jack?)

High score: 24

Cat Escape by t0mas 2016-08-31T07:25:00

Cute cat animation (it needs a leap!). Nice art direction/color theme. I could see this going somewhere with a variety of shiny loot.

Temple of Anubis by awerar 2016-08-31T10:35:00

Neat game. Sorta reminds me of an old DOS platformer. Wall jumping up shafts was a little too tricky for me sometimes (if that's the intention, anyway).

Cool music choice, cute ghost.

Ogo and the Block by Latis Games 2016-08-31T11:51:00

I was stuck until realizing I need 4 wheels, not just 2. D'oh.

Despite a few minor hiccups with collisions, it plays rather well. I feel this took a bit of work, good job. No crashes here.

The art is a great start. Nice attention to detail everywhere. Ogo looking up while jumping, the sweet vines on highlighted menu buttons, etc. I chuckled when returning with the block, and Ogo's friends appearing ecstatic (bouncing a bit?). :P

I liked the music. Nice effect on the guitar!

innerTemple:episode 1 by dmi3iy 2016-08-31T09:52:00

Quite tricky in the beginning. The latter part seems easier when keeping up momentum. I enjoyed the music choices. I think the ambient music is very fitting, and makes me want to climb up and find a breathtaking view.

I was thinking to myself "a ledge-grabbing mechanic would be nice..." and then saw your end-screen ideas. :)
If you want to keep going with this, I'd love some hidden areas to find, and lots of decoration. You could even throw some puzzles in.

Interesting game, thanks!

Golden Ruins by agriks 2016-08-31T08:57:00

Played through the whole thing, and it's kinda calming with the music. I like kathrrak's conditional column idea. It would be nice if the pieces didn't always go back to the bottom.
