Interesting concept, however it's really hard to play and move the way you want. It may be due to the camera which is too close behind the player. Also, the music is repetitive and quickly become annoying.

Not sure if I got stuck or the "T-shaped things" got me. Would like to have some more coins to add to the satisfaction. The camera really is a little strange but I actually liked the sound. Maybe make the controls harsher because I sometimes got the feeling that the cylindrical hero (best name ever btw) actually had control over me rather than the other way around.

Buuut thanks for the cool entry! Really good work in the compo :)

Nice idea to the theme, some polishing would have been great to the game: I couldn“t manage to not got stuck between the green planet and the plate. You slide very much, and there was no proper feedback at jumping. But you can see that there was some work in there if I have a look at the enemys.

I had a lot of trouble with this game. The combination of the close camera and the slow responding controls often left me wondering if my inputs were having any effect at all. I enjoyed the music at first, but it did become repetitive after a while. I think a more top down camera angle would help the player to see more of what is going on and feel like they are engaged. Thank you for your game!

scriptorum 2017-05-02 21:24

I like the cannon mechanic. :gun: The game glitched every time I got to the cannon on the big platform (where you first meet the T things). I found it really hard not to fall off because acceleration/deceleration is *suuuuuper slow*. Also the camera is bit too close to the player, making it hard to line up your movements. Good entry!

Interesting idea for the theme, but the controls felt very unresponsive and slow. On some planets I couldn't jump, and being forced to run backwards into a cannon when chased by the T-Shaped things, the game locked up in a jittery fashion.

Keep up the good work, though!

You were clearly ambitious and eager to do a lot of things with your game. Unfortunately I think you should have more polished the control. They are really not responsives, the character got stuck several times and the camera doesn't help to be that close. I played the web version, I don't know if theses glitches doesn't appear in the others. Continue to do games, that's all I can say.

obidubi 2017-05-04 20:17

It was an interesting game overall and it fit the theme well. A few things I will point out that the controls were a little unresponsive or slow. They could be sped up and the camera could be moved back a little fore a better view of the surrounding objects. Other than that, good entry :)

Great little game. Initially the controls seem unresponsive but after a while you realise they're progressive/cumulative, and the square 'planet' has different gravity. I liked the music too - good work for 48 hours!

cheesymoo 2017-05-04 21:54

I am really bad at sports and gravity is really a challenge in life.

This game reminds me of that.

Good job! Congrats on you Compo!

leftright92 2017-05-04 22:05

Really nice concept and I quite liked the music. Unfortunately, the inertia on the character makes it very unsatisfying to move around and I hit a bug on the cannon after the flat platform:- I seemed to flicker back and forth between two loading zones.

krammetje 2017-05-04 22:21

Fun concept, but the controls are very difficult.

cablay 2017-05-05 00:52

I like the idea of going from one planetoid to the next using cannons, and really enjoyed the music as well! It was a little tricky to get the hang of the controls and I think I fell off a planet at one point as well.

doomshmuck 2017-05-05 04:14

As people are saying, the controls were not doing it for me, it felt very unresponsive and was difficult to control. Once I got to the planet with the flat part, the game seemed to basically glitch out and flicker back and forth, seems to be a common bug people are reporting.

geared-games 2017-05-05 07:57

Pretty cool how you can walk around planets! That must've been challenging to get to work properly :)

Other than that I feel like you could've improved the game in a major way with some small changes: - Have the camera be a bit more behind and above the player - Make the controls less stiff, it felt like you were using AddForce to move the player. This is fine mostly, but keep in mind that you'd need the right amount of friction to get rid of that sliding feeling

These were my main issues with the game, I hope it's useful to you ;)

sleepystudios 2017-05-05 08:35

Was pretty confused at what was really happening. Some more player feedback would've helped and yeah the controls made it even more confusing.

pcmaster 2017-05-05 16:37

I, too, was a bit confused. The camera could be placed a bit farther to better see. I love the music, though :)

somnium 2017-05-07 13:28

The concept is interesting - the idea of jumping between planets, and sometimes even being fired at them across space through a cannon, accompanied by an action-filled tune, was oddly compelling.

As have been mentioned by others, the controls and camera need some tweaking. For instance, it was not clear to me why the jump button stopped responding sometimes, even though I was standing on a surface.

It's a nice idea though. So if you have the time, you should definitely consider experimenting a bit more, and make a post-LD version.

>Jumping between worlds, >Fleeing from your enemies. >Collect all the coins!

mewsoul 2017-05-09 19:08

The concept is interesting, but as many others already said, the controls and the camera made the game a bit too difficult to understand and play.

I think if you put the camera a bit further from the camera and higher (a bit like in Super Mario Galaxy), that would help the player to get more easily into the game. :)

nedmakesgames 2017-05-09 22:08

Good job for sure! The game has many issues but I think with some polish it could really clean up well. The physics are too floaty and it's hard to control since you can't move in the air. I did like how you composed multiple music tracks. Good job!
