I really liked the idea of it! Made me think of a minimal version of factorio. Maybe the sounds were a bit obnoxious? I played it on the web browser though. Also, there was a crash once involving memory issues, but that might be on me. Liked what you did with the graphics too! I would have gone with a black background, but that's just me!

I love these types of games and this one has functional graphics that work well in a minimalistic style. The windows build crashed too, not just the WEb Version so there is still something to fix. But overall a good game for the time you had!
Delectable game as usual.

Thanks for the comments, there was a memory leak that is now fixed for both the web and windows build. Not sure about the crash, though it may be related.

Neat resource management game! I liked how the flow of things creates an interesting melody.

I think this is a very impressive strategy/resource management game. I would just have liked a little more UI polish:
1. mousewheel click is not possible on a macbook (can't scroll view); 2. scrolling dropdown (i.e. choose recipe) also zooms in/out on Macbook; 3. a "cheat sheet" for crafting recipes / legend for icons would have been helpful.
I do understand that this type of polish really takes a lot of time and I am very impressed with how much you were able to deliver in such a short time. I hope you will keep working on this game and perhaps expand it further!
Finally, the "emergent music" is a very cool addition. Its a very natural feedback that you are making progress in the game.

I like the minimalistic style, even more so since it reflects the game's philosophy. The mechanics seem simple at first, but engineering an ideal factory quickly becomes a puzzle. I do wish that the spaceport could sell more than one item type, though - it's a pain to toggle it back and forth when I'm making money from more than one thing. I'd suggest adding a recipe list to the description so players don't need to build one of everything to understand the economy. I ran the web build on Linux Mint/Firefox and had no performance issues, but I couldn't get the crafter to make satellites even though I was feeding it all the requisite parts.
Very impressive base-building game. The art and UI could be improved but the surprisingly complex gameplay makes up for it.

Nice resource game! I got caught up trying to figure out how some of the routing work and couldn't get selling to work to the space port. It would get to connecting the refinery to the space port, then ask me to sell a recipe. I'd select 'Sell Copper'Ore' and then I couldn't get past that 'Sell an item to continue' part. What did I do wrong?

I've never played a crafting game where supply lines are a factor — and can get backed up, no less — and the result is fascinating. It becomes a little assembly line sim that needs constant attention and can always be improved somewhere.
It's a shame I can't decide where to draw the lines myself; once or twice I've had to destroy and rearrange buildings because the automatic line happens to cut through something.
It's also a little hard to remember which icon is what, but, eh, programmer art :)

I like your idea. Sometimes the draw of output is a little bit weird, and the warehouse didn't get the resources, but I think this is a great basic of a strategy game. great job!

I loved factorio and I love the concept of this
Really love the idea and it is a good start. Had too many problems with resources leaking through from other facilities. Love the way it makes music while it runs!
As other's have said, the way the game makes music when one builds the set up further is very nice. I think the minimalistic visual design worked very well here - it's easy to understand what's happening and looks nice enough.
Nice resource management, although I wouldn't recommend red and green on a white background. I'm partially red-green colorblind, so trying to tell the two resource sites apart was a pain for me.

@makenai I got stuck at the same spot. Not sure what I am missing. Any tips?

My starport was selling things for a bit, but I'm not sure what was different this time. Either way, I really like this style of game and I enjoyed troubleshooting and trying to get a growing build cycle going. I can overlook a bug for an event like this. Good game!

@makenai, @gato The only thing i can think of about this is that you are selecting one of the ores to be sold and outputting a plate to it instead. You may need to scroll down to find fore recipes on the space port.

Awesome! Tried to create a similar game, with resources and crafting but didn't finish. In the end, it took me quite some time to realize, that the two green resources for building a satellite where different materials. I thought there was some bug that prevented satellites from being built, but after reading the comments and no one having this problem, I looked more closely and finally realized I need circuits too 🤦.

Addictive and ambitious! Good job. Did encounter an issue the first time around where the first refinery I built in the tutorial couldn't be connected to my space port (due to its position), which meant I couldn't advance through the tutorial any more (even after building a different refinery), but when I restarted and got it working I had a good time :) Solid concept, could obviously use some prettying up and polish, but this is Ludum Dare after all and I'm not exactly one to talk about having non-awful art...
Nice work!

Excellent work, I really like this type of game, and this one was well executed. Getting production of satellites seems easy but getting it to actually work is surprisingly difficult. I did notice one issue where it seems like sometimes warehouses will bug out and not send their stuff downstream. The only other thing I can think of is it would be nice to have hotkeys for some of the possible actions.
Still, all told, this is one of my favorites so far.
The gameplay is really good. With some nice visuals and polish this would become a really great game! Well done :)

Neat idea! I included it in my Ludum Dare 38 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcx-zIJDIVM
