LD38 — A Small World

C_NFINEMENT R__M by Tselmek 2017-05-09T23:44:51Z

Very nicely polished. Some brutal puzzles (which if you like puzzles, is a good thing). I felt the platforming part was a bit of an afterthought. Nothing in the world really gave me reason why jumping was really necessary, beyond giving a better sense of tension when the walls would start to cave in.

Cool concept, and I do really like that it made use of the letters on the keyboard! You don't see that often.

SUPER Space Barrel by aamatniekss 2017-05-09T23:59:28Z

Looks great and is super polished. Doesn't try to do anything mind blowing, but it feels and plays great. The way the enemies bounce around once shot is fantastic. Controls are responsive and I like the added touch of asteroids flying through.

The Microns by Rodrigo DenĂºbila 2017-05-02T18:14:37Z

Very cute! Funnily enough, the ad that showed before me playing was a microwave dinner :P. The controls were a little frustrating, in particular the first micron in charge of turning the popcorn. Being that they moves so slow, it was hard to catch up to how fast the popcorn was spinning, and was hard to tell what direction I was running in.

I love the concept though, I can imagine this sort of game in all kinds of appliances!

The flying physics felt good. I liked the planet warping. Could use more feedback when you damage your ship, and a win condition would be nice to have, as it started to feel repetitive after saving the tenth person.

Good job!

Death's Knocking by This_Gooch 2017-05-02T17:42:30Z

You just have to last as long as you can. Death locks doors behind him, and you can slowly break through them. So there isn't really a classic "win condition".

Great game! Got pretty addicted till I got stuck on one level. The different mechanics were introduced pretty quickly, which was a lot to take in. It would also be nice to have a menu to reference the different combinations.

Dungeon In a Bottle by jhandsy 2017-05-02T18:27:24Z

Played up to the level with the spikes. Loved the concept, and the art and animation are fantastic. The jumping for me felt a bit sporadic, but that could also be because of the varying distance of the two walls, making it feel a little inconsistent. Took a little bit to figure out that I could push walls, but I figured that out on the first level.

Good work!

To Kill a Planetingbird by djfurbal 2017-05-02T18:02:49Z

So it bugged out on me a couple times, so I only got the weapons to launch a couple times. I like the chill background tune. It wasn't totally clear the limit was for how close you can fire, but I think that's because the nodes you have blend in too much into all the other satellites. Keep making games!

Rock Hammer by Airman4 2017-05-02T18:37:31Z

I like the viking animation, but it's a bit to punishing at the moment. There were a few times when I would miss the target, and could do nothing about it because the viking wouldn't position himself again in time. Sound and music would be a nice touch too. Nice simple game though, easy to understand and play!
