Incredibly difficult game; after 45 minutes of trying I think I still haven't made it past the halfway point. I had a lot of fun trying to adapt to the physics and trying to optimize routes. Might come back to this at a later date to try and beat it.

Also I like the naruto run

Definitely hard. I enjoy the basic idea and the mechanic of skating/skiing, but the controls aren't polished enough to really get in a flow. Still, I appreciated playing for a while and trying to get a little further each time. It's simple, but it works for what it is. I don't mind that it was "Within 10 Seconds" instead of "Every 10 seconds"; still felt relevant.

I like witches and snowboarding. This reminds me of the N64 games i used to play. Very fun

Very hard. I didn't even get out of the show area. The timeless option was a nice addition, The forest area looks like it would be nearly impossible with the timer on. The X button is labelled as toggle board, but is jump.

At first I was hating it, but then it clicked with me a little bit, played to the end with the no time mode and tried again. I didn't make it, it's to hard for me but I never played anything like tony hawks or ski games so i may need some context with those. Overall it's pretty simple, and the control is kind of wonky, but interesting enough for me to be a fun game

I realy like the idea of switching from the snowboard to the walking, i was using the walking state to be more precise and the snowboard to go faster. I hardly made it to the "wood" zone, it would have be nice to start with closer checkpoints in order to get use to the game and progressivly add space between the checkpoints.

Overall simple but efficient mecanics and i had fun playing it. The music is cute =)

Cool entry :) I enjoyed the fast pace and found the forest area to be progressively more difficult to navigate which made it a real challenge.

Nice entry!

I really liked the general vibe and environment, especially the map that transitions from the groomed ski slope to the more difficult forested area with obstacles and less predictable slopes. It gave me PS1 vibes. The main character and narrative are fun and add to the experience.

I will say that I had a lot of trouble controlling the character. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, since the main gameplay is managing your momentum and controlling your movement, but there might be a little more you can do to "cheat" for the player to make it feel a little better. Something like magnet-ing to the ground if you're going at low enough speed, since the skidding behavior is very difficult to predict.

I also *really* appreciate how visible you made the objectives and that you were a little forgiving with their hit boxes. That's one potential failure of games like this, especially when moving into areas with obstructions like the trees. The visibility made it so you almost always knew where the closest torch was, even if there was a bunch of stuff between you and it.

Low-hanging fruit for improvement --- add a "distance traveled" number on the end screen! I don't know if there were other "biomes" (I wasn't able to get through the forest) but having a number would help motivate you to keep trying if you're not seeing any obvious indicators of distance in-game. And it lets you see your improvement over time.

I'm planning on drawing fan art of every game I play this event and compiling them on [my profile](https://ldjam.com/users/jeremy-ryan/), but I'm out of time right now so I'll have to follow up on yours this evening.

Thanks for making this!

This game is too difficult for me ^^

But I had a lot of fun playing, good job !

I... LOVE... THIS... GAME! I was literally laughing my ass off playing it, from the footsteps the player makes to the goofy ragdolls. I loved every second of it, even if it was infuriatingly hard! Truly amazing game!

I quickly chose the non timer gameplay, chicken flapped without skate the first minutes and then played for a long time switching between skate and naruto running. The gameplay is simple but I love it, you can get darn fast. Very nice entry!

As promised! Enjoy the rest of the jam.

Too challenging for me, but I really enjoyed the challenge anyway. It got more fun the more I played it and as I learned how to control the board a bit better - kind of like actual snowboarding! The map also has a really good feel.

davidsheadgames 2022-10-15 07:56

The challenge is real! And it is heavy! I had to switch to sandbox mode pretty quickly. However, the ragdoll is hilarious and the gameplay is fun without the timer challenge. There's grains of some good snowboarding challenges here. It's a little difficult to control, mostly because the snowboard is too easy to tip, especially while jumping. If those were addressed, this could be a super fun challenge game.

Puh really quite difficult. You don't seem to have any difficulty with it though in the Youtube Video. :-) Looks nice and feels nice to play. Well done. Good entry.

It looks like we have a Tony Hawk Witch here! And I loved it! :)
